      Beware! I signed up for Moxie, fulfilled my contract and tried to cancel. Each time I try to call (I've tried daily), they say the person I need to talk to is unavailable. And now they are sending emails saying my account is still active, and if I need something I should call. Shades of ****************!!!

      Your account remains active because, as part of our standard protocol, we do require a brief phone conversation to officially close out accounts. This step is in place for all customers to ensure that everything is properly finalized and that there are no loose ends or outstanding concerns.
      Ive also reviewed our communication logs and can confirm that weve sent multiple emails and text messages in an effort to connect with you, but it appears we havent yet received a response or been able to complete that conversation.
      We definitely want to get this resolved for you. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience, and ask to speak with a representative regarding account closure. If theres a more convenient way or time for us to reach you, feel free to reply here and well do our best to accommodate.

      Alajuan came to the door before providing any service. He asked if I had any issues and I informed him of bees on my front porch. After completing the treatments around the outside of my house, he came back to inform me he was finished and provided some instructions for the next few hours. He was very friendly and helpful.

      If I could leave a negative star for this company, I would! Do not let them treat anything in your house or yard. Please read all reviews on this company.! They are a total scam how the Better Business Bureau is giving them an a minus is beyond belief! We signed up to have our yard traded last summer on a day that a young man showed up on a Segway. We ended up letting him treat the yard and it was supposed to be every three months with no lock in service. We did not see any change in bugs around our house therefore we only had it treated three times Now they tell us that we signed up for a full year and going to make us pay for the rest of the treatments. I ended up calling and talked to **** from **************** who was very rude and hung up on me. ! This company has services throughout ***************** and all of them have horrible reviews where this company treats, their employees, horrible and gives false information to homeowners! Once I started looking at reviews, I was appalled at how this company is still doing business but what they do is they get these young college kids too go around and sign people up and then you cannot cancel the service even if you tried! We had multiple people on our road sign up and we have spoke with several of them that have nothing but bad things to say about this company! What a shame they are taking hard earned money from people and being a scam business- BBB u need to do better and give them the f they deserve!

      Hi ******,

      After reviewing the account, we found that it is actually under the name **** *******, who signed up for the services. **** also completed the welcome video, which is recorded in our system, and used the email address ********************* during the sign-up process. During the welcome call, the system clearly states, "If you discontinue your agreement before the 12 months are up, you will be charged 80% of the remaining service charges." **** responded with a clear "Yes," acknowledging the terms. The signed agreement was also emailed on 08/08/2024 at 4:23 PM, which may be where the confusion came in since you weren't the one who completed the ********** help clear things up, well send you a copy of the receipt along with the footage for your reference.Please let us know if you have any other questions

      Moxie Pest Control in ***** is a total scam. I had a gentleman stop by a house we recently purchased to offer their service. He spoke as if he would be the one doing the treatment. I signed up for a one year bimonthly (every other month) service on January 28th. He said they would treat that day, then follow up 2 weeks later for a warranty service just to make sure they got everything during the first treatment. Then they would come out again in April. So an initial treatment 01/28, follow up treatment 2 weeks later (never happened) then to come out again in April. While he was at my house during his sales pitch I paid for the initial service fee . I then learned he is not the one who does the actual treatment, he is a salesperson. Just be honest dude! The guy shows up late in the day to do the treatment and asks for payment. I told him I just paid the the first guy. Well apparently the payment didn't go through their system. Also, the guy who is going to do the treatment calls, says he will be at my house in 30 minutes and 2 hours later no show. I call him, he said I was at your house but you weren't there and when I called you told me you didn't want service. Well that wasn't me he called. He was at the wrong house. So, no show on follow up treatment due in February. I receive an email on 03/05 that they won't be able to service my home as planned but will notify me once the appointment has been rescheduled. I have heard NOTHING!Now, I am fed up and call to cancel and they want to charge me a cancellation fee. Unbelievable!!This has just been a big ole mess from the beginning. Shame on me and shame on them!!Buyer beware!

      ****** completed the quarterly maintenance of pest control of my house on 25 February 2025. He came to my door and explained what he was doing and the reasons for it. He came inside to treat the unfinished basement and garage areas in addition to the outside and explained that Moxie would return if we were unsatisfied with the results of this treatment.

      ****** was very friendly, polite, and professional. He addressed my concerns about getting to places in spite of all the snow we have had. He managed to trudge through all of it and got everything taken care of. He did a great job. He de-webbed my garage door, and this makes me VERY HAPPY! Kudos to ******! Thank you, Moxie, for always keeping a good schedule with me and addressing my concerns.

      Do Not Sign Up!! They do a terrible job. The back of our home is 3 stories and next to *****. We were promised cobweb removal to reduce spiders, that never happened. We were promised a reduction in stink bugs, that didnt happen. We were promised effective treatment for ********* Ants, that didnt happen. We ended up treating the ants ourselves. They would show without notice and wouldnt reschedule because they only came to our area once a month, therefore the inside of our home was once. And the best part of this atrocious company if you cancel service early, they charge you 127$ for breaking contract. Big ****** learned on my part. So dont answer the door if they show up in your neighborhood!!

      First and foremost I was totally mislead by the salesman that came to my door. He stated that several neighbors on my street had already signed up and he was able to give me a great deal (I live on a private street with 10 homes, none of my neighbors signed up). He offered to do a pest control application and a follow-up in 1 month for only $176... good deal, right? Wrong, what I got was a 1 year contract for 5 visits with this company totaling over $800.On the initial application I told them I have 2 large male Rottweilers and would have to set up service while home, I made the appointment and they needed to change it to a different day, I told them that wouldn't work and gave them a new date that would. They showed up on THEIR date and were only able to do the front of my property (approximately 1/3). I called, they apologized and never came back out to do the other 2/3's. On the 1 month follow-up I again set it up for when I was home, again they came on their time, again servicing only 1/3 of the property. At that time I figured oh well, I completed the initial and follow-up and decided not to bother with them to get the back done.Uh oh, 3 months later I get a message about my "quarterly" visit????? What quarterly visit, that's when I found out I was in some kind of contract. SCAM ALERT!!!! I called to cancel and was told I would have to pay 80% of the remaining 4 visits. After explaining the situation about the deception and getting nowhere I decided to follow through.This all started April of 2024, it is now January 2025 and I'm contacted yet again by the company to tell me I have 2 left that I have to complete, I called to explain everything AGAIN and told them I only received 1 full service and I was extremely disappointed with the company, he told me just complete the "contract" and they won't call me again.I am a business owner for 40 years (*****), I would NEVER handle something that way. BEWARE, I will be spreading the word among our 650 clients!!

      Thank you for your feedback. I was able to confirm that some of your neighbors, including the Tylers on your street, have signed up for Moxie. While we understand that this is a private community, we can assure you that Moxie followed the proper protocols and obtained the necessary licenses to offer our ******************** in your area.
      When customers sign up with us, they always receive a copy of their agreement. Additionally, a customer may cancel their agreement without incurring a cancellation fee if they do so within the first three days of signing.

      Do NOT sign up! They will automatically take from your bank account. What they charged me IS NOT what was presented. The forms were electronic & I swear I did NOT sign up for quarterly installments over $200. I was presented a service for $230, along w/ free inspections. They charged for inspections, had a hard time coordinating them too. When I discovered they kept charging my account I tried to cancel. They automatically took 80% of the remaining, would be service fees Directly from my account, that day. My Experience was horrible. I will never again sign up for any pest or other services with my bank account. If needed I will use a pre-paid card so they cant steal from me. I feel this is REALLY SHADY practice & simply dirty. I'm glad there is Karma.

      Per our policy, customers have three days after the service is completed to request cancellation. Since the agreement was not canceled within that timeframe, it remains in effect, and the cancellation fee applies.
