Very misleading about the lapse of a home warranty coverage. It stated that based on my purchase date that my Home Warranty could expire soon. Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse of coverage could result in me being liable for all cost associated with any home repairs. Contact our firm within 10 days of receiving this letter to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage. I never had coverage with them. But is I was aware of that fact, I would think I had to call right away..

Predatory Tactics Toward Seniors Refused to Confirm Cancellation in Writing Review:My 91-year-old mother received a misleading letter from American Home Protect that alarmed her into calling and signing up for a home warranty plan. She was never clearly told the total cost over $3,700 and was enrolled without full understanding. We called within the 30-day cancellation period and spoke to multiple representatives, including a supervisor. They verbally confirmed the cancellation and refund, but flat-out refused to provide any written confirmation by email or postal mail. This is a major red flag.I documented the entire 40-minute call and have submitted a dispute through the credit card company due to their refusal to send proof of cancellation. These kinds of vague, fear-based tactics targeting elderly people are shameful.I strongly urge others to be cautious and read all the fine print. If a company refuses to give you documentation, something isnt right.?

I am not a homeowner, but this company has sent two notices worded as if they were urgent to my house in an attempt to get me on the phone to buy their coverage. Again, to be clear, I DO NOT OWN A HOUSE. I am no legal expert, but in my opinion, this is extremely predatory.

I receive mailings all the time, including from American Home Protect. But they've added the element of threats and fear. The latest is a letter with a Second Notice in pink on the envelop and inside on pink stationery is a letter telling me that I'm in danger of losing why home protection policy, etc. This is shameful--using threats and fear to ****** business. They shouldn't be allowed to have a BBB rating with such tactics.

THEIR ADDRESS IS A PO BOX IN A *** STORE - MOST LIKELY A ************ THE WORDING OF THE LETTERS PLUS ITS PRINTING ON PINK PAPER IS A LIKELY ATTEMPT TO SCARE ELDERLY HOMEOWNERS. MY FAMILY MEMBER (85 YEARS OLD) GOT SEVERAL LETTERS TRYING TO SCARE HER WHICH IT DID AND THE ADDRESS THEY WANTED TO WARRANTY WAS HER PO BOX (SHE LIVES IN AN ASSISTED CARE FACILITY). I WONDER WHO IS RENTING THAT BOX?

Subject: Deceptive and Predatory Mailer from American Home Protect, LLC Complaint:I received a misleading mailer from American Home Protect, LLC warning of a Potential lapse of warranty coverage at my address. The letter is marked as a second attempt and creates a false sense of urgency, implying that I may lose existing warranty coverage if I do not respond within 10 days. This communication is deceptive for the following reasons:1.False Implication of Existing Relationship: The letter implies that I already have a policy with their company or that my current home warranty is expiring, which is not true. I have never done business with American Home Protect.2.Fear-Based Marketing: The use of phrases such as potential lapse of coverage and warnings about being liable for repairs are intended to intimidate recipients into calling the number provided.3.Misrepresentation and Lack of Clarity: Nowhere in the main body of the letter does it clearly state that this is a solicitation or advertisement. Only in fine print at the bottom does it vaguely indicate that dates are estimates and that not all consumers have existing coverage. This type of mailer is misleading, predatory, and borders on scam-like behavior. It is clearly designed to confuse homeownersespecially elderly or less informed individualsinto thinking they are about to lose coverage unless they act.I request that the BBB investigate this companys marketing practices and take appropriate action to prevent further deceptive communications being sent to unsuspecting consumers.Requested Resolution:I ask that American Home Protect, LLC cease sending misleading mailers to consumers and revise their marketing materials to clearly state that they are unsolicited advertisements, not urgent coverage notices.

Keep sending annoying letters about my home warranty expiring and that I will be liable for all cost associated with home repairs. Im a homeowner, I have been responsible for the cost on the repairs at my home. You just seem fraudulent when you send these official letters with misleading wording.
