Subject: Deceptive and Predatory Mailer from American Home Protect, LLC Complaint:I received a misleading mailer from American Home Protect, LLC warning of a Potential lapse of warranty coverage at my address. The letter is marked as a second attempt and creates a false sense of urgency, implying that I may lose existing warranty coverage if I do not respond within 10 days. This communication is deceptive for the following reasons:1.False Implication of Existing Relationship: The letter implies that I already have a policy with their company or that my current home warranty is expiring, which is not true. I have never done business with American Home Protect.2.Fear-Based Marketing: The use of phrases such as potential lapse of coverage and warnings about being liable for repairs are intended to intimidate recipients into calling the number provided.3.Misrepresentation and Lack of Clarity: Nowhere in the main body of the letter does it clearly state that this is a solicitation or advertisement. Only in fine print at the bottom does it vaguely indicate that dates are estimates and that not all consumers have existing coverage. This type of mailer is misleading, predatory, and borders on scam-like behavior. It is clearly designed to confuse homeownersespecially elderly or less informed individualsinto thinking they are about to lose coverage unless they act.I request that the BBB investigate this companys marketing practices and take appropriate action to prevent further deceptive communications being sent to unsuspecting consumers.Requested Resolution:I ask that American Home Protect, LLC cease sending misleading mailers to consumers and revise their marketing materials to clearly state that they are unsolicited advertisements, not urgent coverage notices.

Keep sending annoying letters about my home warranty expiring and that I will be liable for all cost associated with home repairs. Im a homeowner, I have been responsible for the cost on the repairs at my home. You just seem fraudulent when you send these official letters with misleading wording.

I keep receiving letters in the mail from this company, with fraudulent wording about how my "coverage is expiring" on my home. All lies, geared towards scaring people into an insurance coverage they don't need. Companies like this that lie and scare should not be trusted with ANYTHING. DO NOT CALL of give them any business!

Kept getting papers saying that my policy has lapsed and I have 10 days to renew it. NEVER HAD A POLICY with them. Fraudulent marketing trying to catch someone. If they are like this when I don't have a policy with them, hate to see how they are once they get you.

Keep receiving letters as others complained with strong threatening language my home warranty will expire soon which I never had. It implores me how the BBB can give this company an A+ rating and the State Attorneys Office allows these scammers to stay in business.

Predatory mailingsofficial looking mailers with strong language about 10 days to respond, SECOND NOTICE mailers about my Home Warranty about to expireI have lived in my home for 15 ********* never purchased a Home Warranty NOR has my lender ever purchased a HOME WARRANTY for my property. When I called customer service for this company (AFTER 15 years of mailers) I was told they needed the reference numberwaited for the next mailing & called with the reference number & was told They would tell their office that I was CHOOSING NOT TO RENEW MY AGREEMENTwhen I REPEATEDLY explained I NEVER had an agreement I kept getting the same line repeated back at ****** I was CHOOSING NOT TO ******** does state on their notice that This is a solicitation, not a bill BUT I feel for some senior or elderly person this type of mailer could lead them to purchase something they may not need. It is a FEAR driven solicitation.I wonder how the BBB gives them an A+ rating? I have contacted my State Attorney General to see what they think.

Very misleading direct mail solicitation, says "second notice" on envelope and the offer is printed on pink paper like an overdue bill.. stating home warranty policy could expire soon...talk about walking the line between outright fraud! I would NEVER do business with a company with such deceptive business practices!! Clean up your act!

Thus business does not honor its agreement and makes numerous excuses why it cant. It is not worth the money I paid for the policy. I want to warn others.

Scammers! They send out unsolicited bogus mailings telling you that your Home Warranty policy could be expiring soon. I am savvy enough to see through their scam. I dont have any policies with them. It is clear they scour recent real estate transactions and try to trick people into buying coverage with them. I feel sorry for people who fall into their lying trap. I looked them up on the internet and could not find anything positive about this company. It is a shame that these scammers are allowed to even use the word American in their name.
