Diamond parking is currently posting charges to my debit card $11.00 at a time, for services that I did not use. I did not park in any diamond parking lots (or any other lots). This morning I had zero charges from them. At noon, I had one charge for $11.00. By the end of work I had three charges for $11.00. I called the company directly and they said they couldn't do anything about it, nor could they look up my card and verify or cancel the charges. At this moment it is December 31st, 2024 and all three charges are dated January 3rd, 2025. I expect that they are having a problem, but the charges keep coming in and taking my money. I have no way to stop them at the moment other than canceling my card.Business response

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. It appears that these charges are possibly payments made through one of the payment apps that we utilize. Unfortunately, from the information provided we are unable to verify the exact source of the charges. If you could provide the last 4 digits of the ** as well as proof that the charges have actually been processed, we will be able to do further research into this matter.

I went to register for parking and it kept saying code usage reached everytime I tired so I went in and asked my mother in law to try, it gave her the same code on the app. we couldnt figure out why it kept saying that I was last parked there on the 24th of December. We took screen shots and my mother in law sent a message to the board about it. I appealed it and it was denied and could not figure out why it was denied. So I called and I was told it was denied as they do with everyones ticket from what I keep hearing. so I asked the reason why it was denied and she told me cause the code can only be used 3 times a week. No where does it explain that or even explain why it was not working at the time and my mother in law didnt even know about this rule and she is a little shocked and upset now. I was told if it doesnt work you can not park there which I had no idea of but if it stated it on the webpage with a clear explanation I would of brought my bf to help and would of dropped him off and came back to pick them up, but I wasnt about to walk blocks to get to her house and help when there was parking right outside of her place They also said they gave me a 10 min ***** period which is complete BS cause I got the ticket at 9:44 and parked at 9:41 its a $83.15 fine!! I find this very unfairBusiness response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer,is to provide the reason the notice was issued to prevent it from happening again in the future. This location is private property and has the parking rules posted. It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use. All tenants have received communication from property management regarding the rules and limitations. If the usage limit is reached, tenants can request to have additional sessions. All this is the responsibility of the tenant to share the info with the visitors. As a one time-courtesy we will cancel this notice, in the future, if they do see the same message and cannot obtain extra sessions, they would need alternative parking for their visit.
Thank you.
Regards,

I am writing to file a complaint against Diamond Parking of Tacoma for issuing a parking ticket that I believe was unjust and unfair. On 12/27/24, I parked my vehicle in a 2-hour parking zone in ******, but was ticketed and fined $59 for allegedly violating the parking regulations. The parking space I used was clearly marked as a 2-hour parking zone, but there was no signage indicating that I needed to obtain a parking validation from a local business to park there. Furthermore, the company's representatives marked my tires at 12:21 PM, just 15 minutes after I parked, and then ticketed me at 12:59 PM, just 38 minutes after I parked. I believe this was an unreasonable and excessive enforcement of the parking regulations.I attempted to contact Diamond Parking to dispute the fine, but my efforts were met with complete disregard. I called the company on 12/27/24 at 4:00 PM and left a voicemail with my contact information, but did not receive a response. I then sent an email to the company on 12/28/24 at 10:32 AM, and followed up with another phone call at 1:05 PM, but again, I did not receive a response.I was forced to pay the fine to avoid additional charges, including a threatened $30 late fee and potential collection actions. I believe that the fine was not justified, and I am requesting a refund.I am also concerned about the lack of signage in the parking area, which I believe is misleading and confusing to drivers. I urge Diamond Parking to take steps to improve the signage in the area, including clear indications of the parking regulations and any requirements for parking validations.I would appreciate it if your office could investigate this matter and take any necessary action to address my concerns. I have attached a copy of the parking ticket and my correspondence with Diamond Parking for your reference.Business response

Parked in a lot to take wife and I to dinner at ********* in ****** for our date night in October. I paid for 2 hrs parking (about $20) and as we were leaving, almost exaclty two hours later, a meter lady walked up as we were approaching our van. She looked up at us as I unlocked the van and she said out loud that we just made it and that otherwise it may have been a ticket. One month later I get ticket in the mail (today) totaling $83 of which $35 is a late fee. This is absolutely ridiculous. I could see if I was actually late on the meter by more than 32 seconds and i could maybe anticipate a ticket if I was late and the meter lady didn't tell me we were good. The city of ****** needs to get this business out of town. I want my "ticket" canceled/cleared.Business response

I arrived at the Diamond Parking lot on the corner of ******** and Ali'i Drive in ****, ****** at 11:04am. I used the ** code on the posted signage to access ****** Pay on my Android cell phone to pay for parking. Unfortunately, my cell phone continued to ask me to log into my work account. I searched online for several minutes for a way to get ****** Pay to access my personal account. Searches suggested that I download the ****** Pay app on my cellphone. However, there is no ****** Pay app in the ****** Play Store. Signage needs to be changed to something other than ****** Pay since this app doesn't exist. There was a parking lot attendant monitoring my struggles to get my payment to be accepted while my family waited. At 11:13a, the attendant came up and instead of helping me pay, issued me a ticket for no advanced payment. Perhaps the attendant didn't know how to use Android phones to pay. If so, it isn't surprising that others don't know how to use the Android phones to pay. Unfortunately, this is a prime example of "customer no **********************". Rather than help me pay $16.76 for one hour, she issued me a ticket for $62.50 (#**********) and suggested I use another mechanism to pay. We were unable to stay longer than 12p since we needed to catch a flight. We paid for parking at 11:18a (ticket #*******) and left the lot at 11:51a. As a result, we used the parking space for 38 minutes and it cost us $79.26 in parking and ticket fees. Unfortunately, this is very poor business practice when you have a parking lot attendant watching the lot closely and unwilling to help the consumer. This business model is anti-consumer and unfortunately without a large sign like "ProPark", "PPTC Parking", or "Diamond Parking" to advertise the business, it is unclear to the consumer which business to use for parking and which to avoid based on anti-consumer practices. The free enterprise "dollar vote" to highlight consumer choice is obscured and the consumer is harmed.Business response

Thank you for contacting us regarding your legitimate parking notice.
Upon review, we see that you received this notice whilst parked at Diamond Parking location on the Corner of *********************** parking lot.
The parking lot is paid parking, and all posted signage exceeds the requirements for compliance.
The large 36x18 clear sign at the entrance in print large and in reflective, high visibility, print is larger than 2 and posted additional large signage throughout the lot indicating it is paid parking.
The electronic pay box on property, that you used to pay for the hour was conveniently located in the only designated walking area.
We also have multiple signs posted for two additional mobile payment vendors, ParkMobile, and park whiz, AND there is a direct phone number to enhance our customer ********************** if there were any issues with your transaction, or you could have called after and explained the situation.
We apologize that our patroller did not assist with your phone but did let you know that there were alternative ways to pay. Our team is unable to remedy the technical issue you experienced using ****** pay as they are not our vendor.
We see that you paid the parking for an hour that was due after the parking notice was issued, and then paid the parking notice fee while awaiting a response. We will issue a refund for the parking notice fee and void the parking notice.Customer response

I read over the articles about unfair parking ticket from Daimond Parking. Unfortunately, I got one on Monday Dec 23 just before Christmas at the location ***********************. ****** is my wife's birthday so I parked my car in the parking lot behind the bakery shop call Daily Delicious Bakery to pickup the cake. After 10 minutes when I get back to my car, I found myself a parking ticket saying "This vehicle had been parked within a reserved stall at the time the notice was issued. At the time the notice was issued, there had not been a permit displayed to indicate the vehicle was permitted to park."I went back to the parking lot and checked there is no sign showing the parking stall is a reserve stall. The sign I saw is showing 3 hours parking limit. I tried contact Daimond Parking and they denied my appeal and just request me to settle the payment ****. I'm here to seeking help for these unfair issue. I'm a careful person. I always check the parking rules and paid after I parked. This is my first parking ticket in my life.Business response

I paid for parking at a Diamond Lot on 9/14/24 advertised at $40 for a football game. I paid via the Wiz app and the total ended up being more than advertised ($50.29 total). I arrived back at my car within 5 hours of the game start time and had a ticket on my dashboard. The ticket total was for $65.60 and I was charged $66.50 after paying the ticket. I have included 1) a copy of my ticket, and 2) both credit charges for the parking and the ticket. This company did not properly advertise their parking fees and they practiced predatory behavior against their consumers by seeking additional fees via parking tickets. I believe my initial payment should have covered me for the duration of the game. Given the distance to walk back to my vehicle there should be a grace ******* This is not the first experience I have had like this with Diamond and have heard the same from many others. Thus, I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB. I am requesting a refund of the ticket fee ($66.50) and hope that the BBB can ensure Diamond Parking is no longer able to take advantage of consumers via this ticket and fee practice.Business response

They are hunting people down in the parking lot for briefly parking in a free parking designation. I submitted an appeal and they replied extremely rudely and said that my Apple Pay receipt doesnt count as real proof. What else am I supposed to give them? They assumed I was sleeping in my car, which is just not true because I was eating in the backseat, and either way not grounds for a parking ticket either. They are scammers and only ever target people they believe look vulnerable because I am a young, Asian woman. When I have been in this parking lot with other people, specifically older people who look to have more authority, I have never gotten this kind of treatment. It is completely wrong for them to specifically target students who are more easily scared into paying their outrageous fines. On top of that, after I first parked, I was tying my shoelaces and I saw the parking lot manager heading to my car with his scanner out. I had not even left my car and they were ready to ticket me. I was clearly targeted and victimized by this predatory man, and this ******* has completely lost a customer because of this ********************** corporation. None of their payment processes are explicitly explained and are clearly designed to exploit people for more money. I submitted an appeal and did not get any reply for 11 days. They then tried to close my appeal today, and I emailed back within 3 minutes, and only then did they respond with very deceiving and gaslighting information. I truly do not believe this business has fair practices, and charging me $113 for simply parking somewhere for less than 2 hours is outrageous. If they will absolutely not issue a refund, then I want a significant reduction of my ticket because this is outright exploitation of innocent civilians, and to police a small ******* parking lot is ridiculous.Business response

Hi ******,
Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention regarding notice **********, we are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience as it is our goal at Diamond Parking to create happy and repeat parkers. As a courtesy, we will be refunding the $112.00 notice amount to the card ending in 2631.
To ensure that all ******* customers have available space to park while shopping at this location, we use a license plate tracking system that times the duration that vehicles are parked in the garage. Notice ********** was issued after your vehicle exceeded the 90-minute time limit for ******* customers as indicated by the posted signage in the garage. Your vehicle was first logged into the vehicle inventory by our attendant at 4:47 PM. The 90-minute interval expired at 6:17, leading to your vehicle receiving the notice shortly after when it was seen at 6:34PM.
Seeing that you are a resident of the HERE apartments, I understand the confusion in this instance; especially considering that you did make a purchase in the ******* store. However, the upper-level customer ********************** for ******* and the lower-level parking for HERE residents are two separate entities; thus, the 90-minute rule applies the same to both residents and non-residents. ******* purchases would in no instance constitute a validationas mentioned in your appeal. The customer ********************** section of the garage is for ******* customers only while actively shopping in ********
Your show of goodwill by paying the notice is appreciated and in the interest of avoiding this situation moving forward, please limit your parking session to 90-minutes or use the HERE resident parking on the lower level of the garage. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we hope that you will consider parking with Diamond in the future.
Best,
Grayson Glass

Very deceptive business, issues parking violations without even looking for the parking pass and then when you dispute it with PICTURES they say it wasn't displayed in the lower left side of the windshield. My wife is 5'1" and putting this pass in the lower left of the windshield would obstruct her vision which is illegal.Business response

I am filing a formal complaint against Diamond Parking Service regarding an unjust parking fee charged on September 8, 2024, at **************************************************. On this date, I parked my vehicle at the lot, unaware that it was designated as a "Seahawks Event Day," which supposedly required a $65 parking fee.The Incident:Upon parking, I followed the instructions displayed at the parking lot by scanning the provided QR code. This action led me to the PayByPhone app, where I attempted to pay the parking fee. However, the parking location was not listed or appeared incorrectly in the app, making it impossible for me to pay through the provided method. There was no clear sign, notice, or visible indication that the parking fee for that day was $65 due to a special event. Additionally, no alternative payment method or updated information was made available on-site or through the app.The Issue:After failing to pay through the app due to incorrect information, I assumed parking enforcement might not be active or that payment was not required. To my surprise, I later received a parking violation notice (#**********)stating that I owed $65 due to the special event fee. This fine was imposed without any visible signs or notices informing customers of the increased fee or alternate payment methods. The lack of clear communication appears to be a deliberate attempt to trap customers into fines, as many would naturally expect correct and up-to-date information to be provided through the official app or visible signs on-site.Requested Resolution:I strongly believe that the fine was unfairly imposed due to misleading and incomplete information provided. I request a full refund of the $65 parking fee due to the companys failure to provide accurate, visible, and updated information at the parking lot and in its associated payment system.Business response

Hello,
My name is ***, and I am an Area Manager for Diamond Parking and manage this lot.I wanted to take a moment to respond to you regarding your notice from September 9, 2024.
For reference, Diamond Parking manages this parking lot for *********************** in the International District.(C-ID) This location is Reserved during Banking hours and is a paid parking lot at all other times.
On Event Days, we have an A-Frame sign with the Event Rate posted, at the entrance of the Lot.
After reading your comments, I understand that you were trying to pay using Pay By Phone. That is not a payment option that is available at this location.
We offer two different mobile payment options for your convenience (Park Mobile and ParkWiz). There are multiple payment signs throughout the lot showing our mobile payment options. We also have our Terms and Conditions for parking posted as well.
The Event Rate for this days Event was $50.00 plus taxes ($62.43)
I do see that this is your first notice with our Seattle Office. As a courtesy,Diamond Parking is going to waive the notice, and refund your payment.
Please note that when parking, you are responsible for making payment if you decide to park. More importantly, understand the rules of the lot, as parking in any unfamiliar place can put your vehicle in jeopardy of being towed by the owner of that property.
Please keep my information handy and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns in the future.
Have a great rest of your day,
