I am filing this complaint regarding an unfair and misleading parking penalty issued by Diamond Parking Services on 3/24/2025, in Lot SQ95. I parked at this location in the evening, scanned the ** code, and paid for my parking through the online system. Later, when I realized I needed to extend my time, I attempted to do so by paying via the same website. However, I was shocked to find that there was no option to extend parking online. Instead, the website exited the payment page and that the only way to pay for additional time was to physically return to the lot, scan the ** code again, and pay separately. It forced me to interrupt my dinner immediately after I see that parking cannot be extended and rush back to the lot for parking extension, only to find that I had already been issued a citation (#**********) demanding a fine, and while I tried calling customer ********************** later about the fine, no response was given. I find it very disappointing with no clear communication on parking payment and instead sets up honest customers to unknowingly violate the rules with the deceptive system. I demand that this citation be voided immediately, as I made every reasonable effort to comply with the payment process but was misled by the flawed system. Diamond Parking Services should take steps to ensure clear communication rather than exploiting customers with unnecessary fines.Business Response

I unknowingly parked in one of Diamond parking lots. This lot was completely unlabeled as a private lot. It has a massive sign at the entrance that says Public Parking I believe to trick people to park there so they can write a ticket. There are absolutely no signs on the outside of the lot that its paid, no fee rates, no paid parking signs, nothing. The inside of the lot there are very small signs to indicate where to pay the parking, but they are hidden on the inside of the parking spots. They are impossible to see unless the lot is empty. I was only able to locate them after searching for them because I had a ticket.I have called their business 6 times in the last two days and have not been able to reach them at all. I believe the whole setup is just to ticket people for way higher rates than ************************* ticket reference # is ********** This is for their lot at ************ in ******.Business Response

I used the Park Mobile App to pay for parking at the Diamond Parking Lot downtown **************, near ***************, at ********************************************** In spite of having to pay for 2 hours parking and only staying one hour, within that one hour while paid for, I received a parking ticket for $61 as if I had not paid. I saw the parking attendant, and showed them I had paid and was still within the time period that I had paid ----- I also took time stamped photos of the ticket (attached). I was told it would be taken care of, not to worry about it. Several days later (today) I checked the ticket the number and it showed as open/not paid. I went ahead and submitted a dispute and am awaiting resolution. There were some very specific requirements for submitting a dispute and if you dont follow exactly it will be automatically rejected --- 1. You can only submit one page of evidence (yet the app allows you to upload multiple pages) 2. You must show the entire receipt (This was tricky because it doesn't print in one page and the phone was not resizing it -- it took a while but between my computer and the phone I was able to get the entire proof of payment tin one graphic to upload), all receipts must have a business name along with a date and time stamp, among other requirements. I went to ****** Maps to write a review about this experience and saw that many many many other people faced the exact same situation with Diamond Parking having had paid for parking and then being given parking tickets during the paid time period, just as I was. This was clearly a pattern for this business.Business Response

Dear ****** ******,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your parking citation at the Diamond Parking Lot in **************. We understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially since you made the effort to pay for parking and even confirmed with the parking attendant at the time.
Upon reviewing your case, we found that the citation was issued due to an incorrect entry of your license plate number when using the Park Mobile App. Specifically, the system registered a letter "O" instead of the number "0," which unfortunately caused the payment not to be associated with your vehicle at the time of enforcement.
We appreciate that you took proactive steps by submitting a dispute, and our team is currently reviewing your request. Given the circumstances and your proof of payment, we will be voiding the notice.
Thank You,
***** *****

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted. It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager. Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use.
I have reviewed both notices and see they were issued for unauthorized parking as the 2HR time limit was exceeded parked in the stall. A notice was sent out to all owners for retail and residents about the rules of the lot. There is 2HR parking for visitors/residents if you are not registered. Alternatively, you are permitted 3 OffStreet system registrations per unit per month for 48 hours each . You can contact our office for further clarification if needed. I have cancelled these notices as a one-time courtesy. Have a great day!

On January 29, 2024, I parked my vehicle in the *********** parking lot at ************* to visit the mall for shopping and breakfast. I parked in a designated small car spot near the far end of the lot.I entered the mall, walked around to browse stores, and then went to the food court, where I purchased breakfast from A&W using my ******** card (proof available). While my bank statement does not show the exact time, it confirms my purchase at the mall on January 29, 2024.After finishing my meal, I exited the mall and walked briefly (approx. 10 minutes) to a nearby lab to pick up a package before returning to my vehicle. When I arrived approximately 10 minutes later, I found a parking ticket issued by Diamond Parking on my windshield. Why This Ticket Is Unfair:I was a legitimate mall customerI can provide a bank statement proving my purchase inside the mall on the same day.I followed the intended use of the parking lot, as I was actively visiting businesses inside the mall.I reached out to Diamond Parking via email twice at ************************************** to dispute the ticket, as well as on their website, but received no response either time to my emails. The website people only offered a reduced fine of 50%, ignoring my evidence. The lack of response and refusal to acknowledge my legitimate presence at the mall is unfair and unacceptable.Resolution Requested:I am formally requesting the full cancellation of this parking ticket due to my legitimate use of the mall facilities. I have attached supporting documents, including a photo of the ticket, my bank statement showing my mall purchase on January 29, 2024, and copies of my previous emails to Diamond Parking.I can forward the emails I've sent to you as well if I receive an email address to forward them to I expect a response from the company regarding this issue.Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property, and Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce parking rules posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed. You can park for free while conducting business on the property. Once someone leaves the lot they are in violation and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice.
I do see the bank statement submitted and have cancelled this notice as a one-time courtesy. Enjoy the rest of your week!

I am rejecting this response because: I was conducting business on that property during hte time of my ticket.
I've also stated that I have physical proof in the form of my bank statement proving this.Either you cancel this ticket or provide a court date for me to provide this proof.
I'm tired of you guys constantly repeating this pathetic excuse while ignoring my evidence.
Either you cancel the ticket, or give me a court date to fight it.
This is the reason why I reported Diamond to the BBB, your outright refusal to listen
Failure to either cancel my ticket, or provide a court date will guaranteed 100% result in being sued for attempted theft under the guise of protecting private property.
A judge will listen to my evidence proving that I was doing business in ************* at the time your officer issed me a ticket saying I'm not allowed to park in the Mall parking lot while conducting my business there.
Govern yourself accordingly, or I will govern you with a lawsuit

Diamond parking service has falsely given me a ticket for parking over the time limit (60 mins) in a business specific parking stall. Their ticket shows that they "chalked" my vehicle at 9:08am on Feb 18/25. They came back later, claim they still saw the chalk marks and placed the ticket issued at 12:03pm on the same day under my wiper blades. This is nearly 3 hours in a 60 minute stall. My comments in their online "notice disputes" section was that I was at home at 9:08AM and my wife was home to testify. I did park in the 60 minute business specific parking stall around noon to enter the ************* business. They have me signed into the centre (assigned a tanning bed) at 11:59AM with a tanning time of 7 minutes. I left the premises after dressing and left in my vehicle. My total parking time would be 20 minutes tops. I feel that I was targeted by a Diamond parking service employee as they waited just long enough to make sure I was staying in the tanning saloon for a few minutes, before issuing a ticket. I was "ticketed" at diamond parking location A994 within 2 minutes of arriving while trying to download the app. I went inside the store to ask which app to use because there were two on the sig, both of which I hadn't heard of. Instead of helping me pay for parking the associate just said "I am already giving you a ticket." It was for 75.5. I tried to complain but he just walked away and sat in his illegally tinted car. Complete scam and I left the lot immediately.I demand this "ticket" which is actually not a ticket be voided.Business Response
