I was "ticketed" at diamond parking location A994 within 2 minutes of arriving while trying to download the app. I went inside the store to ask which app to use because there were two on the sig, both of which I hadn't heard of. Instead of helping me pay for parking the associate just said "I am already giving you a ticket." It was for 75.5. I tried to complain but he just walked away and sat in his illegally tinted car. Complete scam and I left the lot immediately.I demand this "ticket" which is actually not a ticket be voided.Business response

BBB, I recently received a parking ticket while I was going to a class at the ****. I was surprised when I received a ticket. I did have my parking permit in my windshield at the time and they also did not include that in the photo of my car. Once I looked for a reason why I was ticketed. The signage I noted was a very small 5x7 sign and from my car windshield I couldn't even read it. The only thing I could read was Diamond Parking. i did mention that in my appeal for the parking ticket. The response was that the signage was adequate. They did decrease it but didn't void it. There was no option but to pay the fine. There was no additional appealing their decision. If I didn't pay the ticket they would increase it the amount. I returned to the **** 2 days later to take a picture of the very small sign and they had been removed. They replace the small signage(totally removed) with Large signs 14x14 with descriptions of Permit requirements and in addition at the entrance of the general parking on the alley side that Placed another Large sign. I am filing this complaint because at the time of my ticket these signs were not in place at the time of my ticket. I'm requesting a total refund of the $22.75 due to the fact that the signage was not Adequate as the manager had reported. I'm also wondering if I hadn't made the point of the small signage if the ticket amount would have been reduced. I'm sure I'm not only one that parked there not knowing that it wasn't part of the **** parking. I realize that NOW the signage is obvious but it wasn't then.Thank you for the assistance in resolving this matter. ***** ********Business response

I parked in a parking lot patrolled by Diamond Parking where you were only supposed to park there if you went to Dicks. I parked there, and walked into Dicks to order food and eat and still got a ticket.Business response

Hi *****,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience and for the delay in resolving this issue.
We were investigating why the time on the receipt was modified by hand, as this is unusual. Our goal is always to provide the best customer ********************** to both parkers and our landlords.
At this time, we will go ahead refund the parking notice payment. Additionally, we will work closely with Dicks to prevent similar issues in the future.
Please dont hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you!

Thank you for your response. I can speak directly as to why the receipt was modified -- I asked the Dick's cashier for my receipt once I discovered the parking ticket on my car, and she printed out the receipt with my order. She did say that the receipt will show the time of printing, not the time of order, and before I could protest she crossed out the time and signed it, as seen in the screen shot. I told her that I wish she didn't do that. If necessary, I will contact Dicks and see if I can speak to that employee.
I can attempt to contact my bank to get the exact time of the transaction.
I have already paid the parking notice because I did not want to incur a late fee. Please refund this payment.

Good morning BBB,This complaint is with regards to the parking ticket issued to me on February 7, 2025, at 7:14 PM at *************************************** I arrived at 7:13 PM to visit a friend who is a contractor at *****. He was unreachable and he had a family emergency, as his grandfather had passed away in *****. I went to the back truck yard to locate him as front door was locked returning within 1 minute and 24 seconds, only to find the ticket. I did not walked off the property and parked my truck just to save on parking, I went to search for my friend whose family wanted to give him the unfortunate news The visibility of the parking signs was poor due to heavy snow, and the large sign indicating parking restrictions was covered, making it difficult to notice. After reading it did say that I can park if coming *****. I did not leave my car and was only trying to inform my friend of his loss also the ticket was issued just one minute after my arrival, with no grace ******* which feels unreasonable. Also, When I tried to dispute the ticket on their website, the website doesn't shows an Alberta option. I kindly request that this ticket be canceled considering the circumstances. I can provide further documentation, including a death certificate from Indian authorities, once it is issued.Below are the ticket number and License Plate Number Ticket Number: ******** License Plate: ******* Thanks KindlyBusiness response

Hello,
Our goal for parking notice inquiries is to provide the customer with the circumstances which resulted in the notice being issued and to prevent a future occurrence.
This location is private property which has parking rules posted throughout the location. Diamond Parking has been contracted by the owners and tenants to enforce these posted rules by issuing parking notices and towing to due unauthorized use issues. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed. You can park for free while conducting business on the property. Once you leave the lot you are in violation. Specifically in this case, they were witnessed by our patroller leaving the lot which put them in violation, as stated on signage, and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice.
We have reviewed the parking notice associated with this case and see it has been cancelled as a one-time courtesy.
Regards,
****** *****

At 8:58 am on October 17, 2024, I parked my blue ****** Corolla at the parking lot at **************************************************************. This parking lot is managed by Diamond Parking. I paid for parking until 6:00pm using the Parkwhiz app on my phone. When I left work at 4pm I had a ticket on my windshield stating I failed to pay and owed $83.15. When I checked the online receipt from Parkwhiz I noticed I had mis-typed the last digit of my license plate: CKH 7998 instead of CKH 7999. Any reasonable person could see this was an error and not an attempt to evade paying for parking. It would be highly unlikely that another blue ****** Corolla with a license plate of CKH 7998 was parked in that same lot the same day I was, so it is evident that it was me that parked there. On October 23, I submitted a dispute to Diamond Parking stating I had made an error, and attaching a copy of the ticket as well as a screen shot of my receipt. I asked that they cancel the ticket as I had paid for parking on that day. They replied a few days later saying they would not cancel the ticket and that I now owed $120 as it was over 10 days since the ticket was issued. I have since paid the ticket as it went to a collection agency with accrued interest. I paid $127.70 on February 3. However, I feel this is completely unfair as I clearly demonstrated that I paid for the parking. I would like Diamond Parking to reimburse me $127.70 for this erroneous charge. And at the very least, lose their rating of ABusiness response

Hello,
I am sorry to hear about the frustrations and experience with us. Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property which has parking rules posted throughout the location. Diamond Parking has been contracted by the owners and tenants to enforce these posted rules by issuing parking notices and towing for unauthorized use issues.
I have reviewed this specific case and see when creating the online dispute, the attached documentation submitted was not the payment receipt as stated, but the notice issued to the vehicle. We did respond requesting they re-submit the paid parking receipt to our general questions email and sent out 2 past due notices. We now, through BBB,have received the receipt showing payment. It was determined, the plate was mistakenly entered incorrectly by the customer, as such our patroller was unaware payment was made when issuing the notice. We have requested the full refund for the parking notice payment. If there are any further questions or concerns please contact me directly at ***********************************************************************.

This morning I parked in a paid parking lot. The app into for paying was not visible from where I parked. I parked at 10:10am. My car was running and I was beginning the long process of getting my 2 children dressed for sledding in the car. At 10:12am I saw a women taking a picture of my car. I opened my door and asked if she was with parking and she said yes. I then asked her the name of the app to use. She told me the name and I said thank you. I finished getting my kids ready, downloaded the app, signed up, and paid for 2 hrs 10:25am-12:25pm. Around 11:30am, I returned to my car with cold and cranky children to find a citation on my windshield. The photo was from 10:12am when I was still in my running vehicle but the citation time was 11:09. I triple checked my information (date, time, parking spot number) and it was all the same and correct. I have called the number listed on the citation multiple times with no response. I experienced this a couple years ago and just paid the $12 ticket because it wasnt worth my time to deal with it. This time I am extremely frustrated and will not give in again. After reading many many reviews like my experience and seeing complaints here, they need to be held accountable and stop targeting people.Business response

This a City of Bend parking lot operated by Diamond Parking Service. There is simply no evidence that Diamond Parking committed an unfair business practice in issuing the notice due to the paid time. While the customer did pay for their ********************** at *******, they parked at 10:17am. The enforcement technology in the lot is set up with a 5min ***** period to allow people an allotted time to pay. If a payment is not received within that ***** period they are in violation. The system is set up this way to reduce the amount of free parking time prior to payment. However, in this circumstance the ticket should not have been issued because of how close the payment was to the ***** period. While ******* ***** did speak to one enforcement officer that morning and that officer allotted extra *****, it was a different officer who issued Mallorys vehicle the notice. This officer was not aware of the prior discussion.
******* ***** did call 6 times on Friday when the Bend Parking Services Office was closed. I did answer her phone call during office hours and discussed notice #********. ******* was informed during this call why the notice was issued, ie. not paying withing the ***** ******* and that her notice was voided. I also explained that we implement the ***** period practice to reduce the number of customers who park for hours before paying, not for people who need a little extra time to gather their belonging or children before being able to pay.
As noted above, Diamond Parking is committed to resolving any customer issues in a way that enhances their experience with Diamond Parking. I have voided the Parking Notices #******** for license plate ****** as general courtesy to enhance customer experience.

I parked in the free ******* parking lot on ********************* in *******, **, on October 12th, 2024. I immediately went inside the store and purchased a beverage from ********* first thing. When I came back to my car a bit over an hour later, I found that Diamond Parking Service had wrongfully ticketed me for exceeding time limitations (the free lot has a two hour time limit). I submitted an appeal with a receipt for proof of purchase to show it had been less than two hours, and it was denied. I am more than willing to pay for legitimate infractions, but I was wrongly ticketed. I have now received a letter from a collections agency on February 4th, 2025, stating that legal action may commence on January 30th, 2025, unless payment is received before this date. This is unethical.Business response

This is a formal complaint against Diamond Parking. On Saturday Feb.01st at 10:30pm I parked my truck and entered ************ on *********************** in *******. I registered my vehicles plate and asked if I was able to leave my vehicle parked over night, with the business indicating Yes. The only sign in the parking lot indicates all vehicles need to be registered daily between 06:00am and 05:00pm, which my vehicle was. At 01:11pm the following day, Sunday Feb02nd I was issued a $83.50 parking ticket. I have reached out to rectify this ticket with no response from Diamond Parking. I am also now seeing this is not a BBB certified company which does not surprise me. I have always paid for parking where required and always registers my plate for parking. This feels like I was being entrapped and that no one would be able to register as indicated and not be ticketed.Business response

On 2/1/25 I parked in the parking lot thinking it was owned by the *************** that is one the street facing side and has a back entrance. When I pulled in I didnt see any clear signs requiring payment other than the Seattle street ones that were across the curb so assumed this was parking for bank customers and there were no clear signs posted so I thought it was okay. It was my first time in the area and I was parked for 10 minutes at most so I could quickly withdraw cash and be on my way but when I came back I had a $75 ticket. I paid the ticket immediately because I didn't want there to be an issue but when I reached out to customer ********************** to dispute the ticket following the link from Diamond Parking's own website that I had reached the US Appeals and needed to contact the Canadian one. That didn't make sense to me since I wasn't even in ****** but I reached out to them anyway and was told I needed to talk to the US Appeals desk so neither have been any help what so ever which has only added to my frustration.Business response
