On January 29, 2024, I parked my vehicle in the *********** parking lot at ************* to visit the mall for shopping and breakfast. I parked in a designated small car spot near the far end of the lot.I entered the mall, walked around to browse stores, and then went to the food court, where I purchased breakfast from A&W using my ******** card (proof available). While my bank statement does not show the exact time, it confirms my purchase at the mall on January 29, 2024.After finishing my meal, I exited the mall and walked briefly (approx. 10 minutes) to a nearby lab to pick up a package before returning to my vehicle. When I arrived approximately 10 minutes later, I found a parking ticket issued by Diamond Parking on my windshield. Why This Ticket Is Unfair:I was a legitimate mall customerI can provide a bank statement proving my purchase inside the mall on the same day.I followed the intended use of the parking lot, as I was actively visiting businesses inside the mall.I reached out to Diamond Parking via email twice at ************************************** to dispute the ticket, as well as on their website, but received no response either time to my emails. The website people only offered a reduced fine of 50%, ignoring my evidence. The lack of response and refusal to acknowledge my legitimate presence at the mall is unfair and unacceptable.Resolution Requested:I am formally requesting the full cancellation of this parking ticket due to my legitimate use of the mall facilities. I have attached supporting documents, including a photo of the ticket, my bank statement showing my mall purchase on January 29, 2024, and copies of my previous emails to Diamond Parking.I can forward the emails I've sent to you as well if I receive an email address to forward them to I expect a response from the company regarding this issue.

      Hello,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property, and Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce parking rules posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed.  You can park for free while conducting business on the property.  Once someone leaves the lot they are in violation and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice.
I do see the bank statement submitted and have cancelled this notice as a one-time courtesy.  Enjoy the rest of your week!

I am rejecting this response because: I was conducting business on that property during hte time of my ticket.

I've also stated that I have physical proof in the form of my bank statement proving this.

Either you cancel this ticket or provide a court date for me to provide this proof.

I'm tired of you guys constantly repeating this pathetic excuse while ignoring my evidence.

Either you cancel the ticket, or give me a court date to fight it.

This is the reason why I reported Diamond to the BBB, your outright refusal to listen

Failure to either cancel my ticket, or provide a court date will guaranteed 100% result in being sued for attempted theft under the guise of protecting private property.

A judge will listen to my evidence proving that I was doing business in ************* at the time your officer issed me a ticket saying I'm not allowed to park in the Mall parking lot while conducting my business there.

Govern yourself accordingly, or I will govern you with a lawsuit

Diamond parking service has falsely given me a ticket for parking over the time limit (60 mins) in a business specific parking stall. Their ticket shows that they "chalked" my vehicle at 9:08am on Feb 18/25. They came back later, claim they still saw the chalk marks and placed the ticket issued at 12:03pm on the same day under my wiper blades. This is nearly 3 hours in a 60 minute stall. My comments in their online "notice disputes" section was that I was at home at 9:08AM and my wife was home to testify. I did park in the 60 minute business specific parking stall around noon to enter the ************* business. They have me signed into the centre (assigned a tanning bed) at 11:59AM with a tanning time of 7 minutes. I left the premises after dressing and left in my vehicle. My total parking time would be 20 minutes tops. I feel that I was targeted by a Diamond parking service employee as they waited just long enough to make sure I was staying in the tanning saloon for a few minutes, before issuing a ticket. This happened in ******* at the ********************* location

I was "ticketed" at diamond parking location A994 within 2 minutes of arriving while trying to download the app. I went inside the store to ask which app to use because there were two on the sig, both of which I hadn't heard of. Instead of helping me pay for parking the associate just said "I am already giving you a ticket." It was for 75.5. I tried to complain but he just walked away and sat in his illegally tinted car. Complete scam and I left the lot immediately.I demand this "ticket" which is actually not a ticket be voided.

BBB, I recently received a parking ticket while I was going to a class at the ****. I was surprised when I received a ticket. I did have my parking permit in my windshield at the time and they also did not include that in the photo of my car. Once I looked for a reason why I was ticketed. The signage I noted was a very small 5x7 sign and from my car windshield I couldn't even read it. The only thing I could read was Diamond Parking. i did mention that in my appeal for the parking ticket. The response was that the signage was adequate. They did decrease it but didn't void it. There was no option but to pay the fine. There was no additional appealing their decision. If I didn't pay the ticket they would increase it the amount. I returned to the **** 2 days later to take a picture of the very small sign and they had been removed. They replace the small signage(totally removed) with Large signs 14x14 with descriptions of Permit requirements and in addition at the entrance of the general parking on the alley side that Placed another Large sign. I am filing this complaint because at the time of my ticket these signs were not in place at the time of my ticket. I'm requesting a total refund of the $22.75 due to the fact that the signage was not Adequate as the manager had reported. I'm also wondering if I hadn't made the point of the small signage if the ticket amount would have been reduced. I'm sure I'm not only one that parked there not knowing that it wasn't part of the **** parking. I realize that NOW the signage is obvious but it wasn't then.Thank you for the assistance in resolving this matter. ***** ********

Date of transaction: Feb 12, 2025 Diamond Parking has been contracted to police the ************************* parking lot to ticket vehicles remaining longer than 3 hours. I had an indoor golf session booked at the **************************, which has a location at the *************************, from 2:30 until 5:00 pm on Feb 12. I received a parking ticket falsely claiming my tire was chalked at 10:06 AM, and that I must pay a minimum of $83.15 for the violation. I used the instructions on the back of the ticket to file a dispute via the Diamond Parking website, including the receipt from ********* with the timestamp, and I told them they must be incorrect about the chalking time since I arrived just prior to 2:30 pm to park and left by 5:00 pm. I received an email the next day saying my appeal was denied and some boiler plate text about the 3 hour rules and instructions to pay the ticket. It is a no reply email, and there is no way to easily contact Diamond Parking to provide additional evidence. It appears to me from further research that appeals are automatically denied in the hopes you will pay. This seems like a predatory business practice to **** have a dashcam with video evidence/timestamp of my arrival/departure (arrived 2:04, departed 5:00 pm. Note this is exactly 4 minutes less than the minimum stay required for a parking violation. I did not visit the mall earlier in the day where the vehicle tire could have been chalked, and in fact between 10:00 and 11:00 that morning I was in *********** at the ********** and ****** (verified by both dashcam video/timestamp and receipts from both stores). There is no way to submit additional evidence due to the apparent "dispute denied" process in place.I would like the ticket cancelled by Diamond, and an apology from the company for falsely claiming they chalked my tire. I would like to point out that their appeal process is sadly lacking as well, and should be amended to be more fair.

Thank you for your response. I can speak directly as to why the receipt was modified -- I asked the Dick's cashier for my receipt once I discovered the parking ticket on my car, and she printed out the receipt with my order. She did say that the receipt will show the time of printing, not the time of order, and before I could protest she crossed out the time and signed it, as seen in the screen shot. I told her that I wish she didn't do that. If necessary, I will contact Dicks and see if I can speak to that employee.

I can attempt to contact my bank to get the exact time of the transaction.
I have already paid the parking notice because I did not want to incur a late fee. Please refund this payment.

I parked my car on a side street next to a construction site surrounded by a hurricane fence. When i came back in a couple hours, there was a parking ticket on my windshield. Since there was no designated parking lot, I looked around for some indication that this was a restricted spot. Eventually I found a sign with a parking logo posted on the hurricane fence with a bunch of other signs. It was very inconspicuous, especially since I exited the car on the driver's side and walked along the street to my destination so the car was between me and the sidewalk. The late fee was exorbitant given the lack of adequate notification and the fact that it was just a side street with a few parking places marked out. I would like to have the fee waived.

Good morning BBB,This complaint is with regards to the parking ticket issued to me on February 7, 2025, at 7:14 PM at *************************************** I arrived at 7:13 PM to visit a friend who is a contractor at *****. He was unreachable and he had a family emergency, as his grandfather had passed away in *****. I went to the back truck yard to locate him as front door was locked returning within 1 minute and 24 seconds, only to find the ticket. I did not walked off the property and parked my truck just to save on parking, I went to search for my friend whose family wanted to give him the unfortunate news The visibility of the parking signs was poor due to heavy snow, and the large sign indicating parking restrictions was covered, making it difficult to notice. After reading it did say that I can park if coming *****. I did not leave my car and was only trying to inform my friend of his loss also the ticket was issued just one minute after my arrival, with no grace ******* which feels unreasonable. Also, When I tried to dispute the ticket on their website, the website doesn't shows an Alberta option. I kindly request that this ticket be canceled considering the circumstances. I can provide further documentation, including a death certificate from Indian authorities, once it is issued.Below are the ticket number and License Plate Number Ticket Number: ******** License Plate: ******* Thanks Kindly

      Hello,

Our goal for parking notice inquiries is to provide the customer with the circumstances which resulted in the notice being issued and to prevent a future occurrence.

This location is private property which has parking rules posted throughout the location. Diamond Parking has been contracted by the owners and tenants to enforce these posted rules by issuing parking notices and towing to due unauthorized use issues. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed. You can park for free while conducting business on the property.  Once you leave the lot you are in violation. Specifically in this case, they were witnessed by our patroller leaving the lot which put them in violation, as stated on signage, and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice.

We have reviewed the parking notice associated with this case and see it has been cancelled as a one-time courtesy.

      Regards,
