1 starI booked a room through Expedia that listed it as double room 1 king bed. The price of the room was $50 more than a single king bedroom listing, I called the hotel and Expedia prior to booking this non-refundable room in order to confirm that this reservation was in fact for two rooms that had king beds. Both ***resentatives confirmed, from the hotel and Expedia, that it was in fact for two rooms. After the booking was confirmed I was informed it was IN FACT not for two rooms, it was for a one king bed room. Of course, I was rung through the wire of no one being able to assist with my non-refundable room. The advertising for a double room was obviously taken down right after my booking was made but I still have the receipt showing what the ad listed the room as. I was charged $211 for one king bedroom listing when an actual king room was listed for $160. Which if I was told the correct information when I initially called bother the hotel and Expedia I couldve just booked two separate rooms which was more cost efficient! I have asked every *** I spoke with for corporates number and supposedly they have no contact information nor can they provide the info. Im extremely upset and frustrated that I received incorrect information for a falsely advertised room and no accommodations were made!Review fromJudy A

1 starI lost over $2000 using Expedia for 1 round trip flight to *****. I pur*****d my original ticket on April 4th, & on April 27th noticed return flight from ** to *** was the wrong flight. Called Expedia immediately and had to pay again for a round trip ticket the 2nd time and was told they would refund me for the April 4th trip. 3 days later April 30th, I received an email from Expedia cancelling my April 4th trip. I viewed my trips in the Expedia mobile app and saw that I didn't have ANY trips to *****. I waited until May 2nd to call Expedia just in case it could have taken a few days for the 2nd payment and flight to be processed. On May 5th I was told there wasn't a booking for the 2nd trip I paid for and that my April 4th trip had in fact been cancelled. I immediately put a dispute in with my ***** credit card for the 2 trips I paid for & did not receive any services from Expedia. I then had to pur***** a 3rd ticket but went through ***** directly. This ticket cost me $713.03 more to pur***** at that time due to Expedia's negligence. Although the first trip was eventually credited, to date I have still not received $1368.51 of the 2nd trip payment I made to Expedia on April 27th. I have tried on numerous occasions to resolve this, even spoke to a person that said she was a supervisor and have not received any recourse from Expedia. I am out a total of $2081.54. I will never use Expedia ever again! If I could leave a negative star I would!**** AReview fromAmr S

1 starI booked a vehicle through Expedia. This was my first booking. I was given a final amount to pay for the rental. My rental had unlimited mileage and I was only given 2000km. I also had to pay $12 daily for insurance even though its covered by my credit card. I left paying more. My previous rental outside of Expedia did not require any additional costs. This is a misleading practice by Expedia. In speaking with customer service, they make you feel like it's your fault because of the fine details and information not available to you. I won't book through Expedia again.Review fromAmy G

1 starI'm a new traveler with Expedia I punched in where I was traveling what dates I would need how many travelers and then it sent me to what hotels were available I booked on a hotel that I thought was really reasonable I booked it got the confirmation and noticed the dates were wrong I quickly canceled not thinking so I could correct the dates only to find out Expedia is now keeping $352.17 from me because it was non-refundable I did not want to refund I just wanted to change the dates they wouldn't work with me they kept telling me it was the hotels issue and the hotel kept telling me it was expedia's problem after days of going back and forth with Expedia I begged to reverse the cancellation and take the dates that were wrong in the first place and they would not even do that with me I sat on the phone going from agent to manager to supervisor for 2 hours only to get hung up on then I get a generated email stating we're sorry we couldn't help you but we hope you have safe travels I absolutely think this was the worst company the worst experience and how they can keep people's hard-earned money when they just wanted dates changed I lost a lot of sleep over this I now cannot take the trip very very disappointed I even stated if it takes more money to book the correct dates I was willing to do that too they absolutely wouldn't help me in any way other than keep my ************************************************** the world they weren't able to just correct the dates for me so I could enjoy a trip with my husband I hope to God my $352 at least went to charity or a needy family instead of in pockets of scammersReview fromJuan R

1 starHello,Here is my experience with Expedia. We have booked a day vacation with Expedia. The day before or 24hrs before the start date of vacation ,we have realized that we can't locate the passport so we called and asked for modifying the dates.Expedia advised that we will need to pay the charges in the amount of 1 night stay and taxes. We have also called the hotel and hotel advised that Expedia is the only one who handles the reservation thus they are responsible for making any changes. Also, the hotel advised that Expedia needs to send an email to the hotel.for any changes....We have called thousand of times in the period of 3 days and were still not able to make any changes....So, Expedia has charged us 2 nights that we didn't use because we couldn't come earlier ....Even thought we called 24hrs in advance to move the ******** my point js this, if you are able to make reservations through the Hotel ,do it....Because Expedia will nickel and dime you for every single thing. And they will blame the Hotel for not budging but in reality it is them who doesn't want you to succeed...You know why? Because every single night you are not in place where you have to be it is a FREE MONEY FOR THEM....THEY WILL CREATE TON OF EXCUSES NOT TO GIVE YOU MONEY BACK..."Our back office is working on it""They will get back to you in 72hrs,when you have to fly out in less than 12hrs""Upon checking we regret to inform you""The Hotel hasnt come back to us""You can call the Hotel and see" even though they already know the Hotel will follow only what Expedia will say since it is their reservation....To make the story short: book your stays with the property directly, because if there is any emergency and you need to cancel or modify the trip ,you will not be in the middle of the game ,where Hotel is waiting on Expedia and Expedia is waiting on the ********* can find the best deal maybe on Expedia and take your business directly to the Hotel....EXPEDIA SUCKS!Review fromKatrina C

1 starExpedia is all about making money and not the customers. They have shady businesses on their sites and they don't care if they lose customers because of the lack of integrity. I am no longer planning on using Expedia or any other associated platforms for travel.Review fromDominique S

1 starI booked my trip through Expedia departing 6/21 and returning 6/23. My flight departing was canceled after receiving several delay emails from the airport. Through my booking I paid for the flights and car rental package. Because my flight was cancelled it through a nightmare in my plans. I had to cancel my hotel reservations and car rental. When I called the car rental company (same day my flight was canceled) they told me because I booked through a third party company, I would have to reach out to them. I reached back out to Expedia and was told they have to call the car company. They put me on hold for awhile then returned saying no-one is answering and that they can open up an investigation and keep me in the loop. Cool, that was yesterday. This morning I received an email saying unfortunately I cannot get my money back because the car company has a no refund policy. This was not stated anywhere in my booking. I responded to the email asking to appeal this as this was not mentioned on the booking nor my receipt. No email was sent supporting this policy. I don't believe this was ever stated and this is fluff expedia is saying to close the claim. I personally spoke to the car company and they asked for my booking number as they tried to help but was told to talk to Expedia since I booked with them. This is theft and mistrust and I am owed more than a casual I'm sorry email. I purchased trip protection and still going through h*** to get refunded for a cancelled flight that was out of my control. Expedia you have to do better. Where is my supporting documentation?
