      DO NOT TRUST OR GIVE EXPEDIA YOUR MONEY. AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES/EMPLOYEE BEHAVIOR. Ive been a long time customer of ******************** and have spent thousands through their site. One of my most recent trips we got trip protection for, and had to cancel the day of travel due to an unforeseen family emergency/issue. I tried cancelling through the site but it stated I would only get a partial refund, even though I paid for the protection plan, so I sent a chat through the online portal. The service rep told me she could get me a full refund if she contacts the hotel, since I paid for the protection plan, so I held off on cancelling through the site, which would have only gotten me a partial refund. I went a week without hearing anything, so I called and spoke with someone who said they just havent gotten a hold of the hotel. I waited another week, no response, then I got an email stating I would not receive ANY type of refund. I tried to call the hotel, they told me to call Expedia, I called Expedia, they told me to call the hotel. An employee at Expedia also accused me of lying about the chat date, stating that I waited for the day AFTER instead of the day BEFORE. I have the conversation to prove that it wasnt, but he wouldnt listen to anything I said. I filed a dispute with the bank, because if it werent for that first employee telling me I could get a full refund, I would have just gone for the partial refund and nobody at Expedia would even give me the time of day. I looked in my bank and saw Expedia just took the funds out again, since I guess the dispute was denied. Just VERY disappointed in the Expedia customer service department, everyone was either rude or didnt know what they were doing and just ran me around in a circle, and now Im out $350 because of Expedias employees. Will never be purchasing from them again. Shame.

      I booked a flight from ***** to ******* using Expedia for 1550$ per person for my parents. When my parents went to board the flight, they were told that they needed ************* as their flight goes via Europe. I was never informed about this condition while booking the flight and even while preparing for the departure email. At the airport, they were left stranded as they did not know what to do. My father is a high blood pressure patient, has diabetes; so putting him through so much stress has an adverse affect on his health.When I called Expedia asking them for a solution, all they said is I will need to pay an additional 4000$ to be on the correct flight. I feel that Expedia robbed me and now other than saying I feel sorry for your situation, they are not willing to help. As for my parents, they are left stranded at the airport without any assistance by Expedia. I am disgusted by this company as they have completely robbed me and I would appreciate a resolution for this.
