I made a purchase of crypto using coinme via a coinstar kiosk on April 1, 2025 at the grocery story Luckys on ************************************************************ I purchased $900 to setup my initial crypto wallet. I then was notified to create a coinme account to gain access to the wallet. I created an account and tried to verify my ID via the app. I had difficulty completing the verification, contacted their support and created a ticket (Ticket #*****). A month later, and multiple attempts to verify my ID and still no assistance. I contacted coinstar support, since coinme said the transaction hasnt been transferred and basically was told by coinstar support that since coinme is 3rd party, they are responsible. Ive been getting the run around from coinme from the get go. I understand there are scams and whatnot, but I spent my money to get crypto and all I did was pay a kiosk $900 to waste a month contacting an email that wont do anything but tell me try again. After contacting coinstar support again for a refund, they told me all they can do is verify I made the purchase and its valid. Basically coinstar support cant do anything to help with getting a refund from coinme but verify the transaction is legit, not my ID. I find it frustrating that a company can say verify your Id, and just take your money claiming anything they want by not verifying and racking up money by claiming bad ID or whatever they say. I basically paid coinme to contact them, and pay their support salaries because they dont do anything but tell you GO F YOURSELF. Please assist. Im very ****** off and dont have any other options, $900 to me is a lot of money and Id like to get my money back and not support scammers claiming theyre a company. Please help. Ive patiently tried to simply verify my ID to get access to my own God **** money and just want my money back.Initial Complaint

On 03/21/2025, I received $770.95 in BTC. That amount was credited to my Coinme balance. My next transaction, I sent $41.12 of BTC and next, I withdrawal $668.00 in ***. I should have a remaining approximate balance of $61.83. My remaining balance of approximately $61.83 is not in my BTC balance or in my Coinme balance anywhere.I have created support tickets through the Coinme support chat, I attempted to call Coinme direct, and I have sent numerous emails. All of which, I have received no responseInitial Complaint

On 10 5 2021 I made the mistake, I admit, of putting cash into the coinstar / coinme machine to buy Bitcoin. It seemed like it would be a cool thing to do and was easy to buy. It has been over 3 years and I still have not been able to speak on the phone to an actual human being, or even just by email to actual human being, to be giving directions on how I can verify my identity so that I may access my coin. I put 540 into the machine. When I went to the website to access the coin it needed verification with my ID. But unfortunately my ID had just expired so they couldn't accept it. I got a new ID and I tried again, but it errors and says contact us. Their website is horrendous, it takes almost 3 hours to decipher how to actually be able to email them or contact them about an issue like this. I finally got the ** bot that allows you to file or open a support ticket, to let me create a ticket by choosing "report a bug." I finally was able to communicate a little bit with somebody via email they told me they would escalate the case. That was an early December over 2 months or so ago. I tried talking to them a long time ago as well to see if my mom could use her ID and our phone number we put in the machine but they simply did not even reply to the emails. The way that it takes hours to figure out how to even reach somebody, and the way they just avoid emailing even, is a sign that this is some kind of fraudulent activity. What I'm wondering is how many hundreds of millions of dollars are being held (or stolen in this case?) up by this company from similar transactions? I was told by my boss that I should call the ****************** in ****** to report them. If this doesn't get resolved very soon I will do that, as well as consider legal options.Initial Complaint

I sent $79.66 worth of crypto(polygon) from my personal wallet to my coinme wallet. I can clearly see the funds have arrived, the block chain stated this as well within 5-10 minutes of that being sent. You can even see four yourself right here (******************************************************************************************). The funds still have not been dispursed to me as I am writing this complaint and I have not received a single valid reason as to why I do not have access to my own funds that I can clearly see we're transferred correctly and are literally sitting there waiting on me I have been ignored multiple times I have filled out all necessary paperwork about this transaction to have an expeditious resolution and have not received any explanation as to why it's an issue for me to receive my funds.I have offered for them to refund it back to the original wallet I have offered anything I can think of. I am fully ID verified I've never had any issues of this sort before whatsoever.Initial Complaint

I was involved in a scam by people pretending to be Bail Bonds and they told me I hade a warrent for failure to appear for jury duty and I had to put up bail money into a Coinme machine and return to the ************* to pay me back. When I refused , they would transfer to the ******************** with the number coming across my phone.Initial Complaint

On November 30, 2024 at 8:12 PM I sold $63 worth of $XLM to pay for a haircut. *** never had a problem buying or selling crypto in the past with the company CoinMe but for the last month Ive been trying to obtain my $60 from their ATMs and they have refused to help. They opened a case about my issue but have not responded in adequate time. They also dont have a phone number where customers can reach out to which I think is on purpose because they previously had a number. The CEO is unreachable and Im starting to think this company is a scam they were using the *** 360 technology on their ATMs and they switched to ReadyCode ever since they switched to ReadyCode these problems have occurred. I live two blocks away from two ReadyCode ATMs and neither of them work which means I have no clue which ReadyCode ATM in my area works and the next one is almost 3 miles away. The process for selling your crypto and picking up your money should be as fast as buying it. Im still waiting for them to release my money.Initial Complaint

This problem has been ongoing since 2021 with no success of getting worked out. I bought 2 different vouchers of bitcoin for the amounts of 820$ and 570$ and redeemed them on a Coinme account that was locked for security reasons before I was able to redeem the vouchers. I contacted their support chat and was assisted to get the account unlocked which they allowed me to sign into after I confirmed all their identity requests and proved the account was mine. After logging in successfully and redeeming my vouchers successfully I got logged out of the account after about 5 minutes and after trying to log in once again I was immediatly locked out of the account and the account was locked for security reasons once again. As of today the Coinme account email that I registered the account to got renamed to a outlook username since it was originally a Hotmail account and Hotmail no longer exists. For this exact reason I am not able to log in or reset my Coinme account password because the email to change the password gets sent to a email name that doesn't exist. The email name is *********************** I would like to change the accounts registered email to ******************** but after opening more then several support tickets over the past 5 months, no help of doing so was provided so more then 2 and a half weeks ago I completed the reimbursement form and opened up another ticket asking support to help me with this issue instead of sending me an email back saying that they are very busy and can't assists over email and I need to contact their support chat which is impossible since the bot only allows to send in a support ticket. I have not received an answer and the status of both tickets has not even been read yet and I would just like to get my money back for the amount that the bitcoin is worth at this time since being bought back at the end of 2021. So after waiting for over 3 weeks, I got a reply stating that they are too busy to assist over email once again.Initial Complaint

I deposited money in a Coinme Account. It has been there for around two years. My account is now inaccessible. I receive an error every time I try to log in. I receive the same error when I try to change my password. I have no one to call. The chat requires log in which I cannot do. I emailed and have gotten the runaround for two weeks. I just want my money out of this companies hands. It feels like a scam or the company is not financially able to close my account.
