On April 24, 2024 at 8:52:30 PM, I entered my mobile number as instructed and deposited $131 cash into Coinstar Kiosk at Food 4 Less store on ******************************************************************************. Coinstar Transaction: #*****. I purchased ********** BTC (Bitcoin crypto Currency.) The instructions say to download the Coinme mobile app to access your purchased crypto. I downloaded the app, and entered the requested details: name, phone number, email address, and social security and the app says "We're sorry we are unable to offer you an account at this time." I tried many times to use their customer support, which is automated. It is horrible and I tried calling and you can only leave a message. I sent the details of the receipt and not the whole receipt. I replied by attaching the entire receipt as requested and that was rejected saying I need to file another ticket. I submitted a second Customer Ticket #***** which referenced the first ticket, along with all of the necessary information to verify the account. However the response is that the same. and they closed the ticket. They are keeping my $131 and not allowing me to withdraw or access my money. This is awful. They have a Submit Reimbursement Ticket with a fake button. I mean it says it's a form to submit a reimbursement ticket but the button is only a graphic, it doesn't actually function, you can't press it. This company is a scam.

Transaction date: 6/13/2024, Thursday last week Amount paid through this business: $2,000 to a scammer under threat, of that was a transaction fee of $80.00 (4%) that went to Coinme (Coinstar)We were told on the phone from a phone number: ************ ********, ******, that this was the Washington County *************** Deputy *********, saying that there was a warrant out for the arrest of my wife, *********************************, for not showing up for jury duty. This caller said if we didnt pay $2,000 in fees, they would arrest us. Extremely threatening, called 5 times, and left text and voice mail regarding this, had both our phone numbers and our address. The caller, impersonating a police officer we later found out, said we needed to use the Coinme business machine in ******* to pay this fee. The caller knew all about Coinme locations and its services. We found out we had been scammed that same day on 6/13/24 by this caller with the Coinme machine and immediately called the ********************** and they filed a case # GO 53 2024-11672, incident report. On June 13, 2024, same day, we also contacted ******** to tell them that the transaction had been performed under duress and that it was a scam, so we wanted them to stop payment to the recipient, a scam, the incident number as #******, and the customer incident report as #*****. But there was never any live representative this complaint went to. Coinme sent an email today after a whole week, saying that voucher codes were swiftly directed to external wallets immediately upon entering the phone number into the kiosk, even though we notified Coinstar of the scam within an hour of the transaction. We filed an incident to the *** at Ic3.gov. We believe Coinme to be in collusion with the phone scammer, who impersonated police, to get money for their business, and accommodating scammers, with no live service to stop large transactions. We want live communication from ******** and the $2,000 back, and investigation.

I created a coinme account and bought $4,000 in bitcoin. I have been locked out of my account with no access to my money or my account. ********************** keeps giving me the runaround with their automated system and i have not been helped to resolve my problem by anyone

Hello my name is *************************. I filed a complaint with you about coinme  and how im locked out of my account.  I have tried repeatedly to contact coinme support.  Unfortunately, every thing in that department is only handled through automation and it is impossible to get any live support from coinme. Furthermore, every time i try to connect with live support, the chat bot is useless and a waste of time that accomplishes. Every help ticket i have created with coinme always has the same response.  I fill out a help tocket form online. I fill it put completely and thoroughly. It is always the same.  The reply is always the same also. It notifies it is unfortunate that they are not able to help me because they need more details.  Like i said this has gone on for longer than three weeks with no resolution. I would like to get my momey returned to me immediately if possible.  I would also like to complain to the government who oversee coinme operations.  Would it be possible to get assistance from you or office regarding that issus.  Thank i advance for your time.

Sent in a ticket on May 16th to coinme support to redeem a voucher I received from a coin star in 2021. My number I used to buy the voucher is no long net active and the voucher was not able to be transferred into my bitcoin wallet without a verification code. I cannot send a verification to my old number because it doesnt exist anymore.I am contacting customer support to change my previous number to my new active number in order to redeem my voucher into my bitcoin wallet. Coin me has not processed my support ticket in nearly 30 days. It seems that they have no representatives working on my issue. Attempting to verify my identity through proper ID and other methods that can prove my identity. No one has processed my tickets any further after I submitted a 2nd ticket today.

I purchased crypto currency from a coinstar machine. I paid $900. I still have the receipt. When I tried to make an account to redeem the money through Coinme, their website, I was told I needed a California ID to process it. I had a ******** ID at the time. They told me to give them my information and they could process a refund or get a California ID. I gave them all my information and after exchanges of emails and them calling one time and an answered call, they stopped all contact with me except for automated responses. Then I got the California ID and sent them that. Still nothing. I send numerous emails. I told them I would contact the BBB and the police if they dont help me refund or process my $900. They never contacted me. So now all I have is a receipt from coinstar for $900 with the exchange fees and no money and no crypto. Just a worthless coinstar receipt. They dont contact me back even after a dozen emails from myself and my son. I have tried contacting them for a year now because my son went to ****** and wasnt able to help me with it until he got back. Im in my 70s and this was my first time buying crypto from coinstar and they stole my money. Could you help me get the exchange processed ? I would like them to process the receipt and help me get the crypto put into my Coinme account but now they have made it impossible to log into the account anymore and I cant change my ID on there to a California license there to process it because they stopped all contact besides automated responses after sending them the California license. I still have the same phone number. I would prefer they process the transaction as the crypto I bought has doubled in value but all I have is a receipt. So they should not be able to keep that. If they want to give me a refund for the current value of the crypto purchased in dollars, that would be fine too. Thank you.

I was contacted by someone claiming to be a ******* from the Arapahoe ************** on 5/30/24. The officer stated I had 2 offenses for missing Jury Duty, and if I didn't pay the fine I'd have an active warrent. To pay the bond he instructed me to use a coinme machine, I paid 8000$ in trying to resolve this problem to then immediately realize I was being scammed. I promptly contacted the people at Coinme to try and stop the transaction. The coinme people directed me to send an email and file a fraud form in which I did. I was responded to today 5/31 almost 24 hours later and was told the transaction had already processed and they wouldn't assist me. I've filed a police report in regards to the situation. Clearly coinme has no intention of helping me with this situation and are perfectly OK having their machines be used for criminal activities/scams.

On 5/17/2024 at between 4-5pm, I was contacted that there was a bench warrant for my arrest for not attending Jury duty. They stated that I had signed a paper stating I would attend Jury duty and did not show up. I told them I never signed such a paper. They told me that I needed to post bond or else be arrested. They stated, that if my signature was cleared I would get my money back. They sent me to a Coinme machine (which I am completely unfamiliar with), and stated that if I put the bond money in there I would get a certificate stating I had posted my bail. Half way through the transaction I stopped and tried to cancel the transaction . THE COINME MACHINE HAS NO WAY TO CANCEL OR REVERSE TRANSACTION ONCE IT IS STARTED. I called coinme within 10 minutes of this occurence, and they told me that the transaction is immediate (there is no "safety delay" in processing the transaction.

Ticket #*****, Cash Code ********** On February 24, 2024, at 11:25 AM, I attempted to withdraw $360 from my wallet using one of their ATM terminals, but received an error message stating, "there was a problem, please try again." Despite multiple attempts at different ATM locations, I was unable to withdraw the funds. I contacted support, but my outreach attempts have been ignored for over three months. The voucher expired after 30 days, with a promise that the money would be refunded automatically, yet I still have not received the funds. Two more months have passed without any response from customer support, leaving my tickets unresolved and my funds in limbo. Consequently, I have ceased using Coinme services until the issue is rectified.
