In July 2023, I entered into a contract with ZoomInfo, signing under the impression that I would first receive a trial period as stated in their agreement. The website prominently displayed an option for a trial, which led me to believe I could evaluate the platform before committing. However, selecting the trial redirected me to schedule a meeting with a sales representative. After the meeting, I was rushed into signing the contract and paying $7,786.75 to begin onboarding without ever receiving the promised trial. The **************** Trial," as outlined in their contract, was never facilitated. Instead, I was pushed into onboarding immediately after payment, depriving me of the opportunity to assess whether the platform suited my needs. If the trial had been provided, I would have quickly realized that the platform was unsuitable for my business and would not have proceeded.Onboarding was prolonged and burdensome. Once I began using the platform, I found the filters and functionalities intentionally inaccurate and outdated, leading to wasted resources and credits. In September 2023, I requested a downgrade in services, as certain features (such as TalentOS) were entirely unused. My request was denied, and I was forced to continue paying for services I couldnt ****** December 2023, overwhelmed by financial and operational strain, I again requested a freeze of my account. Then, I faced repeated harassment from their collections team, despite my pleas for a reasonable resolution.ZoomInfos refusal to offer any flexibility, combined with their failure to provide the promised trial period, forced my startup into financial distress, ultimately leading to the closure of my business in June 2024. Their practices caused significant losses, and I feel trapped by a contract that was misrepresented from the start.I respectfully request a refund of $7,786.75 paid made under the false pretense of receiving a trial and the platforms failure to meet my needs.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
While I appreciate ZoomInfos response to void the remainder of the term and unpaid balance, it does not address my primary concern: the refund of $7,786.75 that was paid under the false pretense of a trial period. The trial was never provided, and the platform proved to be unsuitable for my business needs, resulting in significant financial and operational harm. I respectfully request that this matter be re-evaluated to include a full refund as part of the resolution.
Sincerely,
**** Ramesses

Complaint: 22594653
I am rejecting this response because:
ZoomInfos response fails to address the core issue of their contractual misrepresentation and the lack of a trial period, which was promised during onboarding. Their offer to void the remaining balance does not compensate for the financial and operational damages caused by their misleading practices and refusal to accommodate my requests for service downgrades or account freezes.
My complaint remains unresolved as I seek a full refund of the $7,786.75 paid under false pretenses. I am unwilling to accept a partial resolution that overlooks the harm caused to my business.
Sincerely,
**** Ramesses

Complaint: 22594653
I am rejecting this response because the company continues to demonstrate dismissive and unreasonable behavior, falsely denying their clear mistake in my case. From the start, ZoomInfo failed to provide the promised trial period that would have allowed me to evaluate their platforms suitability for my business. Instead, I was rushed into signing a contract under false pretenses and paying $7,786.75 for services that failed to deliver on their advertised capabilities.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter, including requests to downgrade or freeze my account due to the platforms ineffectiveness, ZoomInfo repeatedly resisted and forced me into a financial corner, ultimately leading to the closure of my business. Their current refusal to issue a refund only adds to the frustration caused by their neglectful and high-pressure practices.
This behavior is not an isolated incidentmany other users have shared similar experiences, highlighting a troubling pattern of misrepresentation and resistance from the company.
I have already filed a formal complaint with the *********************************** regarding their practices and will continue to escalate this matter through additional regulatory and legal channels if their resistance persists. My request remains firm: I seek a full refund of $7,786.75 for services that were not delivered as promised.

I am submitting this additional message to provide more clarity and evidence regarding my complaint against ZoomInfo. Despite their claim of adhering to the terms of the contract, the invoices they have sent to me directly contradict their earlier promises, including the trial period mentioned in the contract.
I have attached the invoices for reference. In their correspondence, ZoomInfo repeatedly ignores their contractual obligation to provide a trial period, as stated in the agreement. Instead, they rushed me into signing a contract and made me pay an upfront fee of $7,786.75. Their failure to deliver on the trial period and refusal to address my refund request constitutes deceptive practices.
Additionally, I am being pursued for payment of the remaining contract amount, which is unacceptable given the platforms failure to meet expectations and the harm caused to my business.
I urge the BBB to hold ZoomInfo accountable for their misleading practices. I am open to resolving this matter amicably but will escalate further if they continue to ignore their contractual obligations and my request for a $5,000 refund.
Thank you for allowing me to provide this additional evidence.
Sincerely,
**** Ramesses

I just noticed my personal information on zoominfo from a company I worked with years ago, and that company is now defunct. The way zoominfo has for removing personal information won't work because the email associated with that company is no more. Furthermore, how can they still be selling these outdated information as their 'product'? This is unethical to say the least, the whole idea of this company!Business Response

We paid for a one year contract for access to Zoominfo starting on 6/12/2023 and ending on 6/12/2024. I spoke with our account representative on 3/7/2024 and said we would not be renewing our contract for a second year. I have multiple emails to and from Zoominfo verifying that I canceled our account well before the automatic renewal date. However, I still continue to get invoices demanding payment for a second year. I have sent multiple emails to Zoominfo asking them to fix this and they have failed to do so. I feel that this is harassment and predatory. Fortunately, the invoices have been coming to me instead of someone unaware of the situation, who may mistakenly pay the invoice, not knowing that the account had been canceled months ago. I want the invoices and harassment to stop. Please help.Business Response

In 2023, I signed up for an annual ZoomInfo subscription. When the account came up for renewal in March 2024, it was automatically renewed without my authorization. I immediately emailed them, requesting cancellation and stating that I had not approved the renewal. They informed me that the renewal had already been processed and could not be canceled, offering a discount instead. I declined this offer and reiterated my request for cancellation, which they ignored. Since then, Ive been receiving monthly emails demanding payment of the outstanding balance. Today, I received a legal notice via email regarding this matter.Business Response

I have been receiving calls from people who state they got my information from Zoom Info, and wish to speak to me about my place of business.I have explained to them that what they have called is my personal line. Contacting BBB once again because I am once again receiving multiple calls a day, every day from companies who have obtained my number from zoominfo. My number is on the National Do Not Call List. It is a private number. I want this number removed. I don't want to hear another "Oh, we've already removed your number". Obviously not, as the people I have talked to (20 minutes ago) have stated they received my information within the last week. This is a dishonest and morally lacking group. Their BBB status should be F-. Additionally I will be contacting the *** and a lawyer to review my options. This is several years ongoing and I am tired of it and the lip service I receive with no actual resolution.

We signed a contract with ZoomInfo based on a sales call using high pressure sales. We didn't have adequate time to research the company as I usually do with any decisions that greatly affect our company. They made false claims saying they guarantee that they will 20x our business sales and it is a very useful tool to do so. This info is not accurate what so ever. I have not once got a call back or email back from any of the info they provided. Most of the time the numbers are not working or I received bounce back emails. I contacted my "account manager" and expressed concern in the first month and they said they would schedule a meeting to see if they could help. The meeting was a complete waste of my time. After 3 months I received an invoice for ***** dollars and was so disappointed with the value I get from this so called "tool" more like a scam this is just nothing but a phone book. We are a low-voltage electrical company and have been in business since 2015. We are preferred vendors to some big companies and to prove a point I went through the "intent" list and found a few of our customers on there. Since we are a preferred vendor with them I have met the CEO of the companies and many others executives. and they said they had no future plans on our "categories" that came up in the "intent" at "rating" of 96. What is the rating based off of? They sure had no "intent" on the category that had a rating of 96 when speaking with them. Since then we received a $1***** invoice that was sent to collections because we refuse to pay for a service that is not what they say it is. The high pressure sales person said "the only way it doesn't work, is if you **** use it" well I tried to use it over 150 times and got no response from all of them. I am noticing several others on here that have had the same problem. What data I would be interested in knowing is the renewal rate. That is, if they ****t get caught in the sneaky renewal clause.Business Response

My complaint is related to the misrepresentation of the product's functionality, return on investment, and other key features, as well as the use of high-pressure sales tactics. Misrepresentation of ROI and Platform Capabilities During the sales call, the representative stated that we could expect "a 34x increase in engagement" and a "huge increase in win rate" due to the platform's buyer intent data. He also implied a guaranteed return on investment, saying, "you'll be coming back... they always do," and that failure to generate results would only occur if we didnt use the platform. However, after hundreds of emails sent, we have seen minimal engagement and almost no tangible results. This contrasts directly with the assurances provided during the sales process and constitutes a negligent misrepresentation of the platform's capabilities.High-Pressure Sales Tactics There was significant pressure to close the deal under an end-of-month promotion, with the representative offering a "two-year price on a one-year term" and emphasizing that this was a unique opportunity. The pressure to commit quickly, without giving us time to thoroughly evaluate the product, was a key factor in our decision, and we now realize the product doesnt meet our needs.Failure to Deliver Promised Outcomes The representative emphasized multiple times that the platforms success would be guaranteed if we used it, saying, "only way it doesnt work is if you dont use it." Despite our efforts, the platform has not delivered the expected results. This failure to meet the promised outcomes violates the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, which requires the product to perform as reasonably expected.Business Response

I got a cold call from a sales person. I asked how thay got my number and they said Zoom and LinkedIn are connected. I did some research and found that they must be talking about ZoomInfo. My number is not listed on ******** or Zoom. I'm wondering how they got my phone number and if this is ethical or legal. ZoomInfo somehow scours the internet and finds peoples phone numbers and sells your personal information!
