This company I had a payment arrangement with to take out a certain amount every two weeks from my bank account. Today is my last payment being made and this Company "East Line Lending" took out two payments. I called them and they are denying this but my bank is showing two pending payments for the same amount from this company. If they do not refund my money today, I'm going to file a complaint with the courts. This is Fraud!!Business response

Date of transaction: March 28, 2022 Payday loan in amount of $800.00 East Line Lending ************************************* t ************ I signed a contract for an $800 payday loan but was not totally aware of the details of the loan. I was paying it back every second week and I thought they told me payment was over 12 weeks, but now they are saying it's 12 months totaling 26 payments. I have already paid back more than twice the amount of the loan and they are saying I signed a contract and were unwilling to talk when I said the terms were way above state and federal law. I made the following payment amount and date:4/8/2022 ****** 4/22/2022 ****** 5/6/2022 ****** 5/20/2022 ****** 6/3/2022 ****** 6/17/2022 ****** 7/1/2022 ****** Total: $1625.98 Even after those payments, they claim I only paid about $4 of the principalBusiness response

During the loan underwriting process, customers are made aware of certain charges or fees related to the loan, as well as the APR. Under the Federal Truth in Lending Act and other applicable regulations, we are required to provide an accurate and comprehensive fee disclosure..
Before funding a loan, customers are advised of the total cost of their loan and the fees along with different plans to pay the loan back, which we believe are competitive with other lenders.

This business is opening fraudulent loans of people who have never applied in the first place. Then they send a letter to your employer to garnish wages. Simply put they are stealing money from whomever they can. I have called the ****Business response

I have been trying to contact them for weeks. Their website is down and won't let me log in I called them on April 4th to opt out of my loan and they did me they would opt me out once the money was deposited into my account. Once it was deposited, they never answered their phone and deleted the emails between us. My log in information takes me to an alternate page and won't allow me to see ANYTHING.Business response

Eastline lending sent garnishment papers to my work. I have never heard of this company before. I believe someone is using my information and getting things on my credit. I looked this up and it is a payday lone. I have never and will I never get a payday loan.I believe someone did this and has my information.I am not paying for a loan I did not take out.Business response

I took out a loan with east line lending a few months ago. It was only a 225 dollar loan. I made about 4-5 payments on the loan that were ALL on time and paid in full. Now, the company keeps taking out money from my account even after my debt has been repaid! I want to receive my last to payments back!Business response

Please be reminded that East Line Lending offers you 3 different payment options and one of them is to pay the loan in full as soon as possible because this is the best way for a customer to avoid paying more than what you needed to pay because the finance fee of your loan is being calculated on a daily basis. So, the longer you pay your loan in full, the higher interest you will also be paying.

I have two issues with this company.1.) I am unable to access what is supposed to be my account. I get an error page like I saw another comment spoke about just this month. I have been trying to refresh and log in but every time I still get the error page. Its very concerning that there is no account page that is supposed to give me information on my loan payments, payment history, and how much I owe to fully pay it off all at once. Not providing this information is worthy of the scam label.2.) If you dont have cell service at home but cant sit on the phone at work then you are out of luck to get in touch with these people. I have emailed them at least twice between today and December. The only time email communication was great was when I was processing the loan. Of course. They get you where they want you and then cut communication. I have yet to receive any response through email and wont have the time until next week to sit on the phone. I want to pay off my loan in full and because I cant get ahold of anyone they are forcing me to continue to pay until they get $6,000 more than the actual loan.Im lucky to be able to have the money to pay off the loan before I pay more than I should but if you know that you cant do NOT give these people a chance to contact you. They want you to pay $7,000 on a $900 loan. They depend on you not being able to pay it in full and hope you just stay with the payments.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The site has been down since august according to other complaints and the most recent one, other than mine, was reported on the 4th of January, 2022. All I get with an email is a scripted response that states the same thing every time. That someone will contact me within ***** hours. I never receive a response and its been two months since Ive been trying to see my account info to pay you guys off. I am including screenshots of the login page and what I receive when I put in my information. An account page doesnt exist.

They sent me an email stating that they are in receipt of my inquiry and state that if I have an questions to call or log onto their website. I have included the email. I did receive a call this morning at 5:22am PS. However, as I stated before, I am unable to take phone calls at home due to no cell service and I am unable to call while Im at work. My only option for communication is through email at this time. I would appreciate it if I could actually get communication through email to discuss my account. I am still unable to log into my account due to the website since they have no account site.

Hello I am asking for a refund that was taking out on 11/24/2021 in the *****. This company sent papers to my job for a garnishment after a month of me receiving this loan for 300 and they are asking for ******, way more than what was borrowed. They sent papers stating this was a voluntary wage assignment demand notice after a month. I didn't get any papers from the courts nor did I receive anything they abuse their position under the ************************* I am asking for you to help me with this and investigate! [Please type your response here.] My check was garnished from this company it states this on my check stub. They fraudulently sent papers to my job! I only had this loan for a month they didn't give me a chance to pay, sending a wage form of me voluntary taking money out my check is ridiculous. Under the Federal Trade Commission this is (abuse) they are asking for way more money then I received; again which is illegal. I DID NOT AGREEE TO THIS VOLUNTARY WAGE ASSIGNMENT.
