1 starI was approached by GoDaddy about their SEO services. The salesman was very friendly and convincing, promising me results and locking me into a six-month contract at $600 per month. He told me everything I wanted to hear, so I gave them a chance.
Every month, I received reports saying they were “doing a lot” for my business and that everything was going well. After five months, I discovered nothing had actually been done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and explained I wanted to cancel and get a refund. Instead of helping, he offered me two additional months for free. I agreed, hoping they would finally deliver.
During those two months, I continued to get calls with the same story. That everything was going great. But in reality, my business saw no improvement. After eight months with them, I wasn’t receiving calls or emails from customers, and to make things worse, all of my ****** reviews disappeared, reviews I had built up over many years.
When I raised my concerns again, the company’s tone shifted. They became dismissive and rude, claiming they weren’t responsible for my lack of business inquiries — even though their entire job was to advertise my business. When I asked again for a refund, the supervisor flatly told me they don’t give refunds and that my account would simply be closed after the final month.
At this point, they had taken a total of $3,500 from me with absolutely nothing to show for it. My business was left worse off than before I signed up with them.
This company has been nothing but damaging to my business. We’ve been in business for over 30 years, and somehow they managed to wipe out all of our positive ****** reviews. I trusted them because I had worked with them for over 20 years, but they completely failed me this time.
I do not recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the frustration, the financial loss, and the damage to your business. They are unprofessional, misleading, and not to be trusted.

1 starGoDaddy is charging me for services I cant access, then trying to upsell instead of fixing access. The core problem is broken two-factor authentication. SMS one-time passcodes often arrive up to six hours late and are expired on arrival. Despite acknowledging the issue, GoDaddy wont provide working alternatives (email/app codes or manual verification). Account recovery still demands the same OTP, so recovery is a dead *********** follows a script: Ask for screenshots, then claim they arent received. Put me on long holds to check with tech support. Return without a fix. After 4560 minutes, pivot to selling website security add-ons before restoring access.Result: Im billed for domains/hosting I cant manage, lose time and productivity, and face pressure to buy add-ons unrelated to the immediate access failure. This is deceptive and predatory.Requested resolution:Provide alternate verification when SMS fails (email, authenticator app, or live verification).Restore access before any sales discussion; no upsells during outages or lockouts.Refund or credit for the lockout period.Investigate whether this scripted stall-and-upsell pattern is a systemic *********** company should take payment, deny access through a broken login system, and then exploit the situation to sell more products.GoDaddy.com LLC

1 starNot only was customer service rude, they did not resolve my issue after contacting them three times. They refused to refund me for a product that they have you pay that you cannot use on your active domain (airo). I will not do business with them again. If I had known paying out route meant I gave up a refund I would not have done it. It was a waste of money for a frap product.Review fromMya H

1 starThe worst service you could choose from several others. **************** absolutely non existent. I made the bad choice of choosing GoDaddy to open my business website, and It has been 5 years of pure nightmare. 1 starGoDaddy Access Issues When I tried to log in to GoDaddy to restore the email or manage the domain, GoDaddy stated that my account was cancelled because the email expired. This makes no sense, since I have already paid for my domain until late 2026 and email expiration should not terminate access to other paid services.I offered to pay to reactivate the email, but GoDaddy is blocking me from accessing services Ive already purchased.GoDaddy.com LLC

We thank you for sharing your candid *********** you have been repeatedly advised, your GoDaddy account, as well as the domain name contained within, are both active and in good standing. 1 starI've been with GoDaddy for over 20 years. I'm now looking for the exit ramp. Their customer service was what attracted me, and now their diminished customer service is what will make me look for another host.Roughly 1 out of 5 calls I make to customer service, I get lucky and land someone in the ******. Last week I had a good call with a gentleman. He helped me move some emails around and delete a few others. He gave me the good news that I would have a refund coming back, since I downsized my emails and had just made a large payment 2 weeks earlier. Great a refund!Until...until GoDaddy sent an email denying my refund. ***. They tell me I have a refund and then I don't? And they can't explain why. I'm done.GoDaddy.com LLC

1 starI have been a GoDaddy customer for several years and have relied on their services to maintain my businesss online presence. The platform has provided a variety of tools that supported my operations, particularly in earlier phases of growth. However, a recent experience raised concerns about the level of support available to small businesses during times of financial hardship.During a difficult period, I anticipated a delay in renewing my domain and reached out via GoDaddys chatbot to request an extension. At the time, I was informed that no options were available, and the domain would need to be renewed by the deadline.About a month later, I received an email related to the renewal and followed up by phone. I was informed that an extension had actually been granted, but it had expired the day before my call. By then, the domain was no longer ************ a subsequent call to customer service, I was told the domain could still be recovered but only at nearly triple the original cost. While I understand the business model and domain lifecycle, the inconsistent communication and lack of transparency during the process were disappointing. This experience highlights a broader issue: What support systems exist for small businesses facing temporary challenges? GoDaddy has been in the industry for over two decades and has grown significantly. But like many large platforms, there appears to be a gap in support for smaller businesses that dont yet have dedicated teams or ***************** be clear, Ive had positive experiences with GoDaddys products and appreciate the role they played in supporting my business. However, based on this recent experience, I believe it is important to explore providers that are more aligned with the evolving needs of small business owners, particularly those seeking reliable and responsive ********** thankful for what GoDaddy has offered over the years, but at this point, Im considering partners and not just platforms.GoDaddy.com LLC
