Horrid customer service, they lied and repeatedly said my PIN, my EMAIL, my PHONE NUMBER, my CUSTOMER # was all WRONG this was a blatant lie because I verified everything was exactly what I told them. I was trying to get a refund on there horrible overpriced and now it turns out scam and liar service. They obviously have no integrity and just want more more money and will lie, steal, scam to get it from you. Now in a few days I am calling the credit card company to reverse the charges to this scam company I have all the texts saved from there scam service. If I dont get the money back ill be sure to be involved in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT soon I hope.AVOID!GoDaddy.com LLC Response

GoDaddy is a SCAM. Here's how it works:GoDaddy UI captures domain addresses being entered by site visitors and secures them as "domain taken" if their algorithm id's them as worthy. The user is then forced to either abandon their domain idea or pay thousands to GoDaddy to secure it back. This appears to be a known issue among user forums. For me personally, it happened three times today alone and a few months ago. After the first instance I then tested them and applied for their negotiation services to pursue a domain I was already familiar with and knew the history of--it was my dad's. They attempted to get thousands out of me for a domain that I already knew the owner and its value. They went on to claim they couldn't even get started with anything less than $2500.GoDaddy.com LLC Response

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback.Domains are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.GoDaddy does not and has never participated in domain name front-running the act of registering domain names after a registration search is done in an attempt to profit from the domain. We encourage our customers to purchase any available domains they desire at the time they show as available for registration. The ********************* (DBS) enlists GoDaddy's Domain Broker Agents to attempt to contact a current domain name registrant and potentially negotiate a sale of the domain name registration. While DBS is an advocate for the potential buyer, depending on the domain name they may seek approval from the potential buyer for a higher offering price (near or at market value) than what the potential buyer prefers in order to get the potential sellers attention. Offers lower than market value tend to be ignored. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you in the hopes of resolving any outstanding concerns and can be reached at ************************************************Review from Lisa B

I have spent 4 days, over 10 hours, and over 2 months to try and get this resolved. All the company does is transfer your calls overseas to people who cannot resolve the issue. I had to call and ask to add a service until I got to speak with someone in *****************, who then transferred me back to offshores. DO NOT GET SERVICES WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Once I tried to cancel my hosting they charged me, then shut down the site, and then put it on auto-renewal for a site that did not exist for the next day!! This rate should be a ZERO!!!GoDaddy.com LLC Response

Retired from bus. over a year ago. Cancelled my website with Go Daddy. Two months ago got a charge to my credit card for website renewal. Called Go Daddy. filed a complaint and response that they had cancelled my renewal. Fine. I did that over a year ago.Two months have passed and the charge of ****** still on my credit card. Called Go Daddy again today to complain. Had to file another request for a credit. Supposed to take 7-10 days for review.Meanwhile I have contacted my credit card com. to report this bad service by Go Daddy.Go Daddys phone representatives sound like they have taken care of the problem but obviously someone who handles the credit procedure is unable to do their work. This company has very poor handling of customer service problems.GoDaddy.com LLC Response

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We have no record of our customer contacting *********************** Care Team to turn off the auto-renewal of their hosting plan, and those records also indicate the most recent renewal for that plan is outside of GoDaddys refund policy. The person who was maintaining our website with godaddy let our website dillonstorage.com lapse. We caught it a month later but unfortunately godaddy put it in their expired domain auction process. There was no way to reclaim our website without going through the auction process. I started bidding and within 3 bids it was at $60. I then did research on the auction process and found that there are companies out there who use algorithms to bid on auctions. I checked it the next day and it was at $2300. We had to let the site go and now the website is available for sale through godaddy for an exorbitant price of $5,000. Godaddy uses extortion against their customers. Warning to all! If I could choose no stars, I would.GoDaddy.com LLC Response

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback and empathize with the situation you described. The process GoDaddy uses to handle expired domain name registrations may be viewed by visiting the webpage at: ******************************************************************************* A public Whois lookup on the domain name in question suggests it is registered by a third-party which has listed it for sale. Extremely poor customer service and products. Hard to navigate because they are always trying to sell you something else. I canceled after 2 weeks of phone calls trying to get my bill correct and trying to get on my purchased domain to build a site. My domain and money gone. They are the biggest scam. I will never get a refund although they say you can. Run. Never ever use these crooks.GoDaddy.com LLC Response

They use dark patterns to scam people, they refuse refunds and try to upsell you during the process. This company should be shut down. All they do is scam and park domains. The world would be better without them.GoDaddy.com LLC Response

I do not know what to say except that they stole our clients after having a 3 - 4 year business relationship as a reseller. Notified our customers that their accocunts were no longer managed by us. And get this, we had another 24 or more hours to renew the reseller account.I was told that Wild West Domains, Domains Priced Right would own them. It left a salty taste in my mouth especially after removing all domain email accounts including a 5-pack business email block I purchased, that had not yet expired. Who do these guys think they are?Time to cut the loose. Do not wait for what happened to us, to happen to you.Cut the GoDaddy Reseller or Domain usage loose, do not think twice about it, trust me, do it now!GoDaddy.com LLC Response

Terrible service. Never respond to customer help emails in any reaasonable amount of time. Zero recourse or method of talking to a higher up about disrespectful employees. Will hold your business hostage because they have teams only working 2 days a week. DO NOT RECOMMENDGoDaddy.com LLC Response

I wish I could give negative stars for UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. We bought a domain and set it up, built the site in their site builder and were ready to go. We saved everything and left for the evening, planning to launch after connecting a new email in the morning. All of our work disappeared over night. We called to see about recovering it and ALL THEY TRIED TO DO WAS SELL US MORE SERVICES WE DIDN'T NEED. We refused all the upselling, then they lied and said they couldn't recover our data without charging us $119. We repeatedly said we ONLY wanted the monthly charge of $16.99. We challenged them on the site recovery without paying yearly. Finally, we insisted on speaking to a supervisor because the supposed support tech was only interested in selling us. Eventually, they agreed to restore our data without a charge and promised to call when our data was restored. Instead, they sent an email telling us we could use their help articles to restore our data, a complete and total lie, and to also let us know they had charged us $137 but were giving us a store credit for $119 with $87 of which they applied to the services we had repeatedly declined! SO, ANOTHER HOUR+ ON THE ***** WITH BILLING, them making every excuse, telling lies about terms and service - which we were never told about, and trying to muddy the water the whole time, and repeatedly asking us to let them call us back (not falling for THAT again), they finally agreed to refund the UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES THEY MADE TO OUR CARD, within 5-7 days, even though the transaction was just a few hours old and they could have easily cancelled it from the batch (yep, we know how credit card processing works, so no need to tell us more lies about that). So, now we won't even know if they actually do the refund for a week. CHARGING CARDS WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION IS A CRIME AND I HOPE THE ********* AND CLASS-ACTION LAWYERS RIP OUT THEIR GUTS.GoDaddy.com LLC Response
