I should have looked reviews before wasting money with "Adept Powersports"
After trying to submit for a return and missing the dead line but 14hours due to the way "Adept Powersports" designed their web site for returns. It cycles you through a an on going loop, to discourage returns.
After finally getting an email to request a return. The following is the email responce/ communication.
My email request:
[I am requesting a return for one item from my last order. It did not fit my application.
Order:
Adept Powersports responce:
((This item is no longer eligible for return. The 30 day return window closed on (Shipped and delivered
Furthermore, we do not accept returns on most OEM electrical items such as this.))
My email reply:
[This is unacceptable, I urge you to reconsider.
-When purched the item was eligible for a refund.
-Your web site is designed defer returns in an endless cycle to discourage returns.
- The 30day was missed by less then 14 hours.]
Adept Powersports responce:
((We never "discourage" returns. We accept tons of returns daily from customers within 30 days.
30 days is plenty of time to decide if you want to keep something or not and it is a rather standard return policy.
Accept it.))
As it goes business is survival of the fittest. With the amount of poor reviews
Adept Powersports has on the web, they will fall victim to their own shot comings. They will have choice but to "Accept it."Adept Powersports

Yes, 30 days is plenty of time to decide if you want to keep something or not. It's the standard return policy pretty much anywhere. We appreciate you letting everyone know that our return policy is 30 days. We do not hide that, and hope everyone is aware. 14 hours or 3 days - there has to be some kind of cut off, otherwise why even have any kind of a limit on a return policy. It's 30 days. Not 31 days, not 32 days, 30 days.Martin A

A quote from Adept Powersports latest unsolicited harasment email.
(("What a grandiose piece of **** you are. No surprise - we knew it was coming after you claim it's "unacceptable" to have a return policy with a set number of days, or "unacceptable" to not make an exception for you - what a delusional piece of ****.
You were politely told you cannot return after 30 days - standard return policy anywhere. Yet you chose to lie about it in a review. Well it's not a "bad business practice" to have a 30 day return policy. It's a standard business practice on almost EVERY website and it is actually an excellent practice - to avoid shitheads like you.
Your email is blocked is spam so you don't waste any more of our time. Not only will we not be making an exception to our return policy, you will never be able to order on our website again.
Good luck."))Review fromTony B

Horrible!!! Stay away! Very unprofessional customer service. This lady needs to be fired. "I ordered a part nearly 2 weeks ago. Never received the part. Ended up selling the bike, so I no longer needed the part. Kind of forgot I ordered it. Never got any info/email that it was back ordered or being shipped. So, I Called to cancel the order, and the lady that works there tells me it's out of stock and I can't cancel it lmao. She says if I want to cancel it I have to pay a restocking fee for a part that they don't even have in stock. Lol. She hangs up the phone on me and starts sending me emails about. How that's their policy hahah. Who does that, what a psycho. I told her I plan to report her and my credit card company is going to refund me.so she responds with this : "You are wasting your time. We have NEVER in the 10 years of business had a credit card company decide against ** in a case like this (and believe ** you aren't the first to make the stupid threat). It's not going to happen. But good luck nontheless. Oh and yeah, please post this everywhere, we have a restocking fee on special order OEM parts. Not even sure why you need to "post" it somewhere as it's on our website in plain English, so you can just link to our policy page. " Long story short my credit card refunded me lmao. And I sent them the emails. Guess she lost."Adept Powersports

No idea who this "she" is this person this customer named Paul is referring to. There are many ladies and gentlemen working here, and we can guarantee not a single person will get fired because of you. The only reason you'd get hung up on, is because you were either rude or won't take the answer given you and keep pestering our customer service for no apparent reason. And no "she" is most definitely not emailing you - get your head out of the gutter - whoever this "she" was, all our agents talk to hundreds of people every day and she doesn't know you from Adam. Sounds like you are having some weird customer service wet dreams. We have different people answering phones and answering emails in two completely different teams and it could have been a "he" not a "she" that answered your emails. Stop imagining this is something personal - as it is for you. Or some weird kinky fantasy you are having. We don't know who you are, why you are going nuts, or why you decided to call people "psycho"s who are just trying to answer your questions. And just to clarify - at this company, we care more about employees than we do about some nut customer. It's a very simple choice and in fact most companies do it exactly the same way, they just lie to you and make you think you will get someone in trouble by complaining. No one ever gets in trouble at any company because of an unreasonable customer. So although you have a wild imagination Mr********, you are living in some weird fantasy.
Now to the rest of the lies. No, the item ordered was not "out of stock". It was in stock when you decided to cancel it. When the order was placed about 2 weeks ago, you were well aware that the item was on backorder. You then waited 2 weeks for the backorder and when the item became available you called and asked to cancel. This is not a coincidence of course, we see this happen all the time with OEM parts... What some people do, is they order the same item that is on backorder from multiple places, because they think they are very clever and they are somehow going to "outsmart the system" (by ordering an OEM part that is only manufactured by one company and every dealer gets from the same exact warehouse) and somehow get the item faster that way. Then when they get notification from one place that it's available, they call around all the other places the ordered from which ALL have the item available and cancel the orders. Of course all the places have the item available around the same time. Let us be clear - you or anyone else CAN CANCEL ANY BACKORDER ANYTIME before it's ready to ship. In your example you had from 9/12 to 9/26, two whole weeks. And of course our website clearly shows if an item is on backorder BEFORE you place the order, so there are no surprises. You decide whether you want to order or not. Once its ready to ship, as in it becomes available, the manufacturer ships it to our warehouse for your backorder, YES we most definitely have a restocking fee, it is not a secret, the policy is very clearly posted on our website for everyone to read. So actually we thank this clown Paul from NY for letting us clarify our policy for everyone once again.
And please everyone - stop threatening us with credit card disputes - you can't win those JUST because you don't like our policies. We respect credit card issuers policies, and they respect the merchant's policies, that's how it works. Making these threats is a dumb thing, it doesn't get you anywhere, and it just makes you sound ridiculous. What you can do if you don't like our policies - simply don't order from us, and find a place where they have policies that work for you. There are different websites offering different options. We do a lot of things very well, and we'll never please everyone, just 99.999% of our customers. It's too bad those 99.999% never leave reviews, so they can drown out these 0.001% unreasonable clowns that are given too much of a voice on websites like this for being such a small minority. This website and every other review website is literally a collection of complaints. That's all it is. This is not a restaurant, people don't leave a review after having a good experience, they simply place the order, get their stuff and go on with their life. And then there are people like Paul ******* from Coram, NY.Review fromJared B

Ahhh... Jared Baker, the guy who received an item which was mislabeled from the factory, and was fully refunded for it.
Of course the first thing we did is offered to fix the issue and replace the item (at absolutely no cost to Jared), but Jared, decided to be an ******* for some odd reason, and told us "I'll gladly take my business elsewhere in the future". He claimed we "belittled" him by saying he doesn't need to explain what happened, we'll just replace it. This was "belittling" to him, the fact that we said you don't need to jump through hoops, we will just replace the item for you was belittling!
So we decided there is no point trying to fix the issue for this person who is going to "take my business elsewhere", instead we simply refunded him for the incorrect part, so he can take his business elsewhere not in the future, but immediately.
We notice a lot of these "upset" customers, seem to have a lot of pre-conceived notions and seemingly issues of their own, and for some reason they take everything as "offensive" to them. That's the world we live in now. Everyone is offended by everything even if it's not offensive in any way. These people "feel" so "hurt" that they take the time to post reviews and comments that no one will ever read, but they've been told they are very special and important that they go on believing it.
Good luck Jared.Jared B

Look at the **** reviews on here and Google! Who is the ******* here? How do you stay in business... I'm sorry your life is so bad that you have to call out your customers all the time. Good luck in the future on your next business name change in hope of getting rid of bad views.
Here is my initial email to them upon receiving my parts...
Hello. I had 2 parts in my order. In looking at the diagram the part I needed is # 46092A which is the "LEVER - GRIP, STARTER" and is the lever for the choke. When I looked up that in the list, it maps to 46092 - 1116. However my package came in the mail today and all that is in the bag for that part number is a tiny rubber o-ring that is about the diameter of a pencil. This is not the part that is detailed in the diagram so I'm a little confused. Also, $8.09 seems a little steep for a tiny rubber o-ring so that also leads me to believe its the wrong part. Was the wrong part picked and shipped by chance? Thanks so much! The other part on my order is perfect and just what I was expecting.
Thanks,
Jared Barker
Here is the response I got. Who the **** responds like this? Speaking of *******....
Hi Jared, I think you are overthinking this - we don't need the lengthy explanation of what maps to what or what costs what. It could simply be a mislabeled item. Simple as that. Kawasaki's warehouse (where this came from) does this once in a while unfortunately.
P/N 46092-1116 is not a small o-ring, it's a part that should look like this...Review fromLa A

This company is a joke. They hold up the entire order because of a back order. The customer service is very aggressive. The agent told me they don't care about a random customer, and they do not feel the customer is always right. Buy your parts elsewhere.Adept Powersports

We do not hold up anything - if you don't want an item that is on backorder, simply don't order it. We show all availability BEFORE you place the order right on our website. We'll gladly make as many shipments as you like, but if you want to qualify for free shipping the offer is orders over $99. Unfortunately we are not able to offer both free shipping and multiple shipments at the same time. If you'd like things to ship separately, simply place separate orders.
