My son was ready for a pre-paid mobile plan. Found Mint Mobile with several plans to choose from... a few with gigabyte caps and one labeled as "Unlimited". Since he uses a lot of data, we chose this plan and paid 3 months at a time... Half way through the month, he runs out of data... unlimited... only to find out after calling that Unlimited is capped at 40 gb. What? That's not unlimited then is it? So far they are unable to resolve this issue even though they have moved to "True Unlimited" 4 days ago. Needless to say, when this plan runs out, we will be switching. Our unlimited plan previously included 40GB of high-speed data before reducing speeds, your son still have data it do not stop. BLUF: I do not recommend Mint Mobile. I placed an online order on 1 February 2025, realized it was incorrect on 1 February 2025, called and spoke to real humans who told me it was cancelled on 1 February 2025 and I would get a refund in 7 days. Instead I got the incorrect order in the mail. I then called and used the chat feature to find out HOW & WHY I even got the incorrect order. Talking to the representative was a useless endeavor. Chatting with the representative was more productive.Turns out it was a problem on THEIR end and my cancellation, that IS documented in the notes didn't go through properly. To me, that is a huge problem. How is the computer system that faulty? Or is simply a human error? Either way it should have been fixed and never happened to begin with. Bottom line: I do not recommend Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile Response

Tried mint mobile and was unhappy with it and tried to cancel it. They told me their wasn't a cancel option and to just not pay the next time. I had a three month plan and wasn't going to continue paying for it. About a week after not paying, the charge goes through anyways and when I figured out it had gone through I tried speaking with costumer service and they told me that I couldn't get a refund after the first 7 days of activation, months ago. I was trying to cancel my plan but that s***** app just won't let you and stole my moneyMint Mobile Response

To end the service, you simply need to opt out of renewing it, i.e. turn off auto-refill, or remove your payment information from the app yourself or with the help of customer support. There's NO question WHY ********** is NOT a BBB accredited business for me and MANY others I've talked to who have been unlucky enough to sign up with their services... Ive spent the past 4mos dealing with Mint. It took me nearly a week to FINALLY find an actual # for human beings. I signed up under their "7 days NO WORRIES trial" where IF I had an issue they promised I could quickly and easily return everything for a refund. Within 24hrs of signing up I had second thoughts and attempted to reverse my decision.What I found when attempting to return and refund "my mistake" after hastily signing up thinking I could save a few bucks and gain a new phone was that their WHOLE service is run by Ai bots online. The numbers on the site lead to more bots that loop around and never give answers needed for getting out from under their service but just continually lead people further and further into how to sign up and link in. Emails returned more bots w automated responses and their app was just more about staying within their services, when it worked!It took my wife nearly half a day of sitting on hold and calling every and any numbers she could get to finally find a HUMAN. Now, they were very friendly, very understanding, and seemed to HELP... Lemme just quickly recap what happened after actually finding a way to contact humans. Initial people would record the issue and then take that issue to a mgr and the mgr would sign off or take that issue to their **** board. The results overall gained an ability to return my Mint package for refund (which took a month). Upon return it was immediately sent back to me!!! Different package but same stuff. Back into the loop except NOW "I'm beyond their return/refund window" and get more pushback... Luckily I SAVED everything, names, emails, dates, every interaction... Again, after endlessly dealing w HOLD, it would go from **** to mgr, to board before a response- which, even tho they agree and "promise", I get NOTHING!!!! 4mos!Mint Mobile Response

Signed up for a promotion through email to get a lower rate. Called Mints representative who walked me through what i had to sign up for to get the promotion after which he told me it would go through. When it didnt show on my account after a week i called back and was told i had to wait until I received an email about it before the next billing cycle to have it go through as i already prepaid that month. After which when I received an email not showing the promotion i called back and was first hung up on by the representative when they were trying to transfer me to someone who could see the previous conversation. Then i finally talked to someone who told me not only should i have not received that email but that they would not honor the what i signed up for. I was only told that they would punish the other representatives i had talked too as they should have told me that i shouldnt have gotten the promotion.Mint Mobile Response

Mint Mobile customer for 3 years, 5GB per month. When first enrolled I had several service issues that took a month + to resolve. Over the next few years no serious service problems while located in several locations country wide. Depending upon location service was spotty but did get better. The process of adding GB to your plan if running low is smooth.That said customer service support, no matter any time spent with this company, is terrible. Terminated customer support calls. Complaint/Claim #s submitted w/ a verified number dropped and denied. No follow through whatsoever despite customer service verification of contact details. Any calls made to Mint Mobile **************** is using up the plans cellular data. Not worth it.Mint Mobile Response

The customer support is terrible I attempted to change to their cell service, I prepaid for the service and had tech issues transferring phone number, with no help from mint mobile customer service, attempted to switch over several times over their course of a two months and then was told that it expired and would not be able to use the service because I had not activated the service I had already paid for, tried to contact customer service but they were not interested in helping me solve the problem, was denied a refund after trying to explain Ihad issues transferring number, worst customer service experience ever, ********************** absolutely took money from me for services I was never provided if I could leave no stars I would, mint mobile has terrible service and terrible customer service. I hope this helps someone from supporting this awful companyMint Mobile Response

I chose the wrong plan initially and was told I could switch yet when I called to do that I was told I had to wait until the renewal. Since my service was only a day or two old when I first requested the change that does not seem reasonable to meMint Mobile Response

I just had the most frustrating customer service experience of my life trying to get my account number and port-out pin from ******************. This was over a phone call. I even disconnected the call and tried calling back to get another **** and got the same person. It was incredible. I was so frustrated, as they are legally obligated to give a customer this information. There was no other option for how to request it besides the call at this time.I actually had not had a terrible experience with Mint Mobile up until that exit call. Now I will never be their customer again. No one should need to go through that to switch service.Mint Mobile Response
