Money owed Cannot speak to anybody willing, or capable of telling me my cancellation date. Phone answer says I am not a member , but NOBODY seems to be able to tell me when I cancelled or explain why I am still being charged $28 a month. Help!!Business Response

I needed a legal real estate question answered. I saw an ad online that you could sign up for a trial for $5 and would not be charged the monthly fee as long as you canceled your subscription before the trial period was over. I asked two questions and was charged the trial fee of $5. I cancelled the subscription right after I asked my TWO questions. I was then charged $46. I called JustAnswer to complain and was told that I signed up for a subscription. I tried to explain that I was just signing up for the trial that cost $5. All ******* could tell me was I signed up for a subscription. If I had known they were going to vharge me over $50 just to ask two questions, I NEVER would have contacted them. I could have gotten a FREE consultation from an attorney's office. VERY disappointed in this false advertising!Business Response

I went onto their website because it says you can connect with a Lawyer for $2. When you start the chat, the representative states the same. When you go to the form, it is designed to be misleading and does not clearly show a summary of charges for you to ask your question and get an answer. I was charged the stated $2 and then an additional $66 without proper disclosure. This company hides behind shady web design and legal loopholes to take advantage of people in need. Their representative clearly states you will only be charged $2 and then the website design hides the actual fees. Unethical misdirection is not okay and when I called the company out on this practice, they still refused to refund my money.Business Response

I was attempting to resolve an issue with my Linkedin account and this site came up indicating that they could help for $1. I input my credit card and then I was charged an additional $46 indicating that I signed up for a monthly service fee of $46. This is a bait and switch scam - this hidden fee and enrollment was deceptive and not transparent. I indicated my concern by email, but all they did was cancel future $46 monthly charges and did not reimburse the charge I did not authorize. I paid 5 dollars for a question I had about a problem concerning my oral health. I got a good answer and I trust the doctor was legit. The service was fast and he was assuring that I had no serious problem. The REAL problem is that I was charged 46 dollars for a membership I DID NOT want when I was told it was ONLY 5 dollars to speak with a doctor. I should not have to pay nearly fifty bucks to get just 10 minutes with a doctor! I was told I'd only be paying the 5 dollars.Business Response

JustAnswer charged my credit card $5 which they said would be refundable and $40. I did not know what the $40 fee was. I canceled my "membership" immediately after I got one response about the problem I was having with my clothes washer. I never requested a membership and do not want one. On Aug. 12, 2023 I asked Just Answer "Expert" to give me an idea of the value of a painting. They said it was a $5.00 fee for me to talk with an expert. I said that was ok and charged my credit card. I just received my credit card statement and they charged me $65. I didn't sign up for anything. I want my $60 back.Business Response
