      I have an account of 14 years with PayPal. Ive used the account multiple times and have recent changes the password March 2024. I have recently made an attempt to log in. I may have possibly used the wrong password at attempt to log in. It stated the account is temporarily locked for trying too many times. I call PayPal. They state I cant log in nor will they resent my password due to an alleged $11 negative balance. They refuse to even let me login to the account to see a transaction or the account within itself. There is currently money being sent to the PayPal as well. They refuse to send me a temporary passcode. To not give someone access to an account yet they have access to my banking information, bank card and social is insane to me. I need assistance or Im filing multiple complaints. Currently still on the phone with the representative. With no assistance whatsoever.

      This company is total garbage when it comes being used as a payment processor for an online business. Every few months they suspend my account and hold my funds so they can 'review my business'. This forces me to stop using them until the review is done. I have to upload a picture of my drivers license and information on what I sell and how I sell it. Nothing changes, I have to keep uploading the same information over and over again. This process is usually done in 5 days. At 5 days I was sent an email saying it will now take ***** days. Mind you nothing about my business has changed. This process was started on 6/15 and it is now 7/25 and still no money. i have contacted them multiple times and each time I am given a canned response saying some reviews take longer than others. I try to explain that it has been weeks so something is wrong and they tell me there is no way to contact this department like they are in a bunker somewhere and nobody anywhere in PayPal country has the ability to reach them. All they can do is send an 'escalation form' to them which they say has been done multiple times. There is no communication from them, you get no answers except the same cannne responses over an over again. They have over $300.00 of our money for product we sent to customers over 5 weeks ago and we cannot get any of it back from them - we are borderline theft from PayPal at this point. Once this is resolved, if it ever is, I will never use this company for business or personal use. Im at the point where I will need to take them to court for the money. Total garbage company.

      I filed a complaint/fraudulent charge in February. Before they shut down our PayPal account, we sent over paperwork from our bank, showing them which charges we were disputing, along with bank letters and bank statements. In addition to that, we had a three-way call with PayPal and our bank, still not resolving anything and the bank confirmed what we were disputing. We won the dispute from our bank regarding the fraudulent charge. However, PayPal continues to send us from person to person dealing with multiple different people, staying on the phone for hours, only to start back at square one. PayPal support has no idea what they are doing, repeatedly asking the same account information. At one point, we were on the phone for 4 hours and transferred to 8 different support staff, all saying we were sent to the wrong department. They have since sent us to collections and shut down our PayPal account. Weve tried to send them additional information but they no longer have an email. We called them back to ask them where they want us to send the information , they were supposed to turn on our PayPal account so we get the information sent to them even though they already have a copy of it and they have not done so. Nothing has been resolved. I will never use PayPal again and will never recommend it to anyone they do not support the customer against fraudulent charges . I would rate them a zero if I could, but lowest rating is 1. I am so frustrated.

      I had unauthorized devices on my account along with an unauthorized transaction. I removed the devices and disputed the transaction. PayPal denied the dispute and said it was within my normal history. Clearly no one looked at my history or they would see that I only use PayPal to receive payments. I have never used PayPal for purchases. I have NO faith in PayPal when it comes to fraud liability or fraudulent transactions. I can no longer do business with them.

      poor customer service. ********************** Credit balance paid in full, was told I would still get charged interest over a month later. how is there interest if the balance is paid in full. no answers from customer service. all giving me conflicting wrong information. no help. I feel ripped off.

      Forced me to add my bank account to get my money from an invoice. The online rules/requirements state you have to add a bank account OR a credit/debit card. I added my bank card but PayPal still refused to let me receive money that was sent to me! Straight from PayPal:How do I verify my PayPal account?We only ask you for essential information when you sign up to PayPal, but as you transact with us, we're under a legal obligation to know more about you. When you verify your account, you're proving that you own the financial details added to your account.To get verified, go to your account to add and confirm your bank account or, if you prefer, add and confirm your debit or credit card.

      I hate that I have to even give 1 star. This entire situation took me a month to handle, and I was ultimately the victim of PayPals incompetence. I woke up to find suspicious activity on my PayPal account. It was actually money someone sent me and I had never met this person or sold anything. I immediately filed a suspicious activity claim. They ended up giving the person back their money (great newsI dont want money that doesnt belong to me) leaving me with a processing charge for $8.57. I spent hours explaining this to them. They continued to say I was responsible. AgainI filed the claim for getting money that was not for me and I got penalized. I filed numerous complaints, no one cared at all. It was truly baffling that not 1 person (after getting past the miserable AI experience to get a human) could see what was right before their eyes. I finally gave up, paid the amount to get my account to $0 (all while worrying my bank and CC info was at risk), and then closed my account after 5 days of waiting for it to clear. I would not trust this company with anything. *** never filed a complaint before, and the dollar amount is so small, but this was unbelievably frustrating. It felt like I was trying to explain something to an entire team of 2 year olds. Stay away from PayPal.

      Dear PayPal,I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with PayPals services and to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I have received. My experiences with your company have been nothing short of appalling, and I believe your company engages in unethical and fraudulent business practices.Firstly, I have encountered significant difficulties in ordering a new PayPal card. The customer service representatives I have spoken with have been unable to communicate effectively, consistently talked over me, and failed to address my concerns appropriately. Their lack of understanding and unwillingness to listen has made resolving this issue impossible. THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE!Secondly, I purchased a PayPal prepaid call for $60 and paid in cash. The card was subsequently blocked without explanation, preventing me from activating it or gifting it to someone else. When I inquired about the reason for the block, I was only provided with vague information about a problem with Net Spend and denied access to any details that would allow me to dispute this action or verify the security of my identity.I spoke with Net Spend and they had no records of any restriction and even added a note with reference # to the account for **********************. The PayPal Agent was still rude and dismissive.It is evident that PayPal has a severe problem with customer service. Your representatives are incapable of providing adequate support, and your company's policies are designed to confuse and frustrate customers. The arbitrary blocking of a prepaid card that I purchased with cash is a clear indication of unethical and potentially fraudulent business practices.I demand a full investigation into these matters and immediate resolution of the issues I have raised. I expect PayPal to provide clear and transparent explanations for the blocking of my prepaid card.Sincerely,***********************
