1. I purchased a new tire from Town Fair Tine, **** ****** ***** ********* ** on 4/10/23 2. On 6/2/23 the tire failed wile driving the highway. There was No road hazard or any issues with the tire till that moment. 3. On 6/2/23 the tire instantly went flat for no reason wile driving. I managed to get the car to the breakdown lane. The Low tire pressure was not on. The tire appeared to come apart. The tire tread came apart and the tire immediately went flat. 4. On 6/2/23 I stopped at the first Tire Fair on my route. The person I spoke to agreed ordered the tire to be installed the following day. 5. On 6/3/23 I returned to have the tire installed but was told by another Rep that I would have to pay $269.07 to replace the tire because I did not have the road Hazard insurance. I again explained it was Not a road hazard issue. The rep's reply was " so you say". I had no choice so I paid the invoice. 6. There also is some body damage to the inside of the wheel well caused when the tire delaminated. I understand what a Road Hazzard is. I previously had Town Fair replace the tire that I believe was defective at my cost because I hit a pothole. This tire was one of a set of 4 I had purchased from Town Fair. I believe this is a defective tire and should be replaced at No cost to me.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern;
We sincerely apologize for the issue Mr. ****** had with the tire and any inconvenience this has caused him. This is the first this office is hearing of his issue. Form the pitures thit is very difficult to tell whether the damage was frim a road hazard or tire defect. With how new the tire was the store should have offered some form of concession. Even under the workmanship warranty the tire would be covered prorata per the manufacturer's warranty and he would still have to pay for the labor. However given the age of the tire the store should have just taken care of it. With that said as a one tme courtesy we will refund the entire invoice for the 1 tire. We will mail the refund to address provided to the BBB.
Sincerely,
Rich A****

I brought a set of rims into town, fair tire in ******* ************* to have them balanced before bringing them in I called and spoke to someone and asked if that size wheel that I had that needed to be balanced could be balanced without any issue they have for me yes they could balance that size wheel and bring it in. I dropped them off. They called me about an hour later and told me that they will be ready to pick up so I went and picked him up and upon getting them to my truck I noticed damages to both of the rims. I spoke to the sales representative that took the rims from me and asked to show him the damages on the rims. He immediately got defensive and said that those there’s no way that they could’ve done that and that the damage looked old. I told them that these damages were not here before I dropped them off and asked how that this could’ve happened when I called beforehand to be sure that they could balance this size wheel without any problems, and I was told yes I also said that when you guys sell wheels like this, I’m pretty sure that you take good care of them that so they would not be damaged upon installation, I told them that I am a frequent customer of this establishment and I don’t appreciate how I’m being treated. When I have a discrepancy he again was defensive and said that there’s no way that they could have done that and when I ask for a manager, he told me t* ** * ****** ** ** *** *** * **** **** ***. I asked for his manager again. He told me the managers name and refused to give me his name, and again told me ** ** * ****** ***** ****** **** ** **, I went and got the manager Doug and explain the same problem to him and he informed me that I would need to call the corporate office in *********** and he took a picture of the damage. I asked him what we will do about the sales representative, that just told me ** ** * ******* and I also asked for the techs name that worked on wheels which you refuse to give me the name and said leave.Business Response

**** *** ******** ********** *********** I went in to the Towns Fair Tires shop in ********** ** to get a tire change the other day, I told person working at the desk I didn’t want an alignment, because I already got one earlier this year, and that I had ***, so that got me some kind of discount. They said, don't worry about the *** discount, we already had one on file. With that in mind, I was pretty upset after the tires were finished that there was no *** discount, but more so that I had been charged for an alignment. I’m a college student and money is pretty tight for me, so this extra strain on my wallet has put me in a bind. (The alignment was 124.00 dollars) I went to reach out to customer service and submit a complaint on their website, but after looking at their HTML, their submit button on their page doesn't even link to an actual way to submit my complaint. The invoice number ********** My mother set up the appointment; therefore the name is under ***** *******. To reiterate, no one authorized this alignment and, at least on the invoice, my *** discount does not appear to have been applied. I looked around online, and it it is possible that there is not an applicable *** discount; but my main concern is the alignment. Thanks, **** ******Business Response
Date: 06/02/2023
To Whom It May Concern;
We sincerely apologize for the confusion and poor response in store. This is the first this office is hearing of Mr. ********* issue. The *** discount is taken directly off of the tires or wheels and there will not be a line item for it.The *** discount is 5% off of the regular advertised wheel or tire price. Unfortunately it does not discount any other products or services. The tire price he was charged was $149.00 per tire and the regular price is $179.00. So the tire was discounted well beyond the 5% and may have included the discount. As for the alignment if Mr. ******* did not want the service the store should have honored his request. We will be sure to address this with the store and we will gladly refund him for the alignment which was $69.00 with purchase of tires as indicated on his invoice. The $124.00 is the list price. As an additional courtesy for the confusion we will also refund 5% off of the tires along with the alignment and round the refund up to $100.00. The refund will mail out next week to the address provided to the BBB.Sincerely,
Rich A****

My step son bought tires from town fair tire a few months ago. Then about 3 weeks ago. He took the car in for a free tire rotation. On his way home the car was shaking horrifically, and his brakes were making loud noises. We took the car back to Town fair tire and asked them what they may have done. They drove it around the lot and said that it wasn't their fault. I took the car to my mechanic and explained to him what had happened, and his response was that Town Fair Tire employs younger unexperienced mechanics and that when the tires were put back on, he over torqued the wheels causing the rotors to bend and destroyed the calipers. I had to have the brakes and rotors and 2 front calipers replaced. The employee at Town Fair Tire said it wasn't their fault and that I couldn't prove that the damage was caused by them. Not a very professional response from them.Business Response

April 24, 2023 ********* ****** Had an appointment to purchase new tires and have them installed. Employee (later known to be the manager) told me he was adding a wheel alignment into the work. I asked if that was free, he said no, but I will get no warranty (on work or the tires) if I didn't get an alignment. I explained that I'd had one 2 months ago (when getting a service) and he told me it was too bad, either pay for an alignment or get no warranty at all. I've later been told (by their corporate office) that there is no requirement to purchase an alignment, if you can prove there has been one in the last 12 months. The manager at the ********* ****** is scamming customers, making them pay for a service that does not need to be done, threatening no warranty if they don't agree.Business Response

We sincerely apologize for the issue Mr. ***** had with the store. This is the first this office is hearing of this issue. There is no such policy that customers are required to align their vehicle with us. As long as the tire maintenance and alignments are done in the proper increments it doesn't matter where the service is done. There also is no way for any employee to void warranties. The only thing that can void a mileage warranty is uneven and or rapid wear due to lack of maintenance. This has been addressed with the store and will not be an issue in store going forward.

Rich A****

I purchased 4 brand new tires from Town Fair Tire in *********** ** and paid extra money for each new tire for Road Hazard Insurance. They advertise "Don't you just hate when you get a flat tire? As a valued customer you are entitled to the Town Fair Tire Road Hazard Guarantee. In other words, we will repair your deflated or flat tire at no cost to you. If your tire cannot be repaired we will simply replace it, no exclusions. The Road Hazard Guarantee is only available for select tire models, but if you are covered you will be protected against: Run Flats Sidewall Punctures Glass Cuts Curb Damage Stone Damage Pot Holes Well, my tires were leaking air so I brought it in to be checked and they found a nail in one tire so they removed the nail and plugged the tire. Seeing I paid extra to insure each tire for road hazards I was led to believe there would be no cost. They gave me a bill for $13.00 saying I had to pay for the labor cost which I paid and left out of there an angry customer. I feel there should have been no cost to me and the insurance coverage should have covered the cost to remove the nail and plug the tire. $13.00 is a small amount of money but I should have not been charged anything. I am requesting Town Fair in *********** ** to give me back the money paid to fix this insured tire.Business Response

To Whon It May Concern,
We sincerely apologize for the confusion and Mr. ********* inconvenience in store. This is the first this off ice is hearing of Mr. ********* issue. The tire repair itself per our advertisement is completely free. Since we repair the tire internally we recommend that you rebalance the wheel and service the valve stem to start a new seal. The balancing normally ranges $14.95 to $22.95 per tire depending on the wheel diameter and the TPMS reconditioning or standard valve replacement is normally $7.95 per tire. As a courtesy for returning customers we discount both services down to $7.95. If the vehicle also needs a TPMS reset we normally charge $19.95 for that service it is discounted down to $4.95 for returning customers with the flat service. Though we recommend the additional services they are not mandatory and if you do not wish to have them done there is no charge. The troad hazard covers the tires if they cannot be repaired due to aroad hazard damage. That warranty covers the tire tire itself 100%. However it does not cover the balancing and/or the valve stem/TPMS service.This all should have been explained in store at the time of purchase and again when Mr. ******* returned for the repair. We will be sure to address this with the store and we will gladly refund Mr. ******* for the charge. We will send a check to the address provided to the BBB.

I had an appointment on 3/29, for a quoted $59 mounting. When I brought my vehicle into the shop after two hours they handed me the keys with a 120 dollar bill. I drove off the shop lot and not only is my car pulling to the right, it's wobbling all over. Took it back and they refused to fix it. They said I needed all 20 lug nuts replaced that they broke from over torquing. I'm now without a drivable vehicle. Balance is so out you bounce in the seat. Nothing was wrong when I brought the car in the first time and they didn't ask about aligning it first before charging me. The model of the car is even incorrect on the work order.Business Response
