This particular travel firm is no good and is not reliable and trustworthy. I tried to make a reservation for a rental car and airline ticket. I am a VIP Platinum member. When trying to make a reservation, it declines valid payments, using a debit or credit card. I called my banks and was told that there is nothing wrong with any of my debit and credit cards. It is, thus, just an issue with Priceline. I called Priceline for an explanation of this issue. It could not provide me with an explanation and assistance. No answer could be provided. It does not and will not take and/or let one make reservations by telephone. The people working the telephone customer service line seem dumb founded and helpless. I understand that Priceline tries to get the best deal on travel. However, it does not help when one is asked to pay upfront and his debit and credit cards are declined for no reason or explanation. To save time and hassles, it is recommended that travel be booked with other online travel agencies and companies, even if the costs are greater.

NEVER STAY HERE. See pictures. It’s been over 3 months and nothing from them to fix issue. The outlet shocked my daughter.
Parking was over $100- no fridge in room- no AC- horrible!!! Free breakfast was a stale bagel……

Priceline booked us at the wrong hotel. They have no customer service. They can’t give us an answer on getting our money back because they didn’t pay the hotel. So they STOLE money from me at this point.

If I could put in a Negative star review, I would. We did our travel plans through Priceline.com and of course, they messed up Everything. Hidden costs, and can't fix something that THEIR site did. We did a trip for this July from the 1st to the 7th and put the dates in at the start of the trip planner. Low and behold, the date for the hotel dates were WRONG! The Customer service agent kept stating that "No Changes" could be made. We tried to call the hotel, but since it was a 3rd party service, they couldn't do anything. Their customer service agent could hardly speak English and kept reiterating that "No Changes". If you need to book at trip stay FAR AWAY FROM "Priceline.com" They are 100% a SCAM site!

I booked a king luxury suite at **** luxury metro in ********* ***** ***** *he room they actually reserved for me was.a 2 twin bed normal room. I paid double the price for that room and they never said a thing. I only saw the issue because I double checked. I called Priceline for a resolution but they had 0 customer service reps available and I could wait 24 hours for a call back. I called the hotel myself to confirm their mistake. The hotel cancelled. Priceline has given 0 options to make good on their issue. I still don’t even know what happened. Only that now the room wanted is sold out. This was my first and last experience with Priceline. Do not use them. If you need third party Expedia has good service but always better at the hotel. Only used Priceline for the price but instead it bit me in the arse.

Priceline’s “Travel Protection” is a worthless trap with no accountability
I booked a rental car through Priceline, assuming—naively—that they vet the companies they partner with. I also purchased Priceline’s recommended collision and damage insurance as part of the booking. Big mistake.
When I arrived at Routes Car Rental in ****** (another disaster—see separate review), I was told that the insurance I purchased through Priceline was not accepted. Full stop. The counter agent refused to honor it and tried to upsell me their own overpriced policy. I declined and instead used my personal insurance, but was shocked to find that Priceline refused to refund the useless protection plan.
Here’s where it goes from infuriating to downright absurd:
When I called Priceline customer service to explain the situation, they informed me that I had to cancel the insurance at least 72 hours before the reservation started to qualify for a refund.
      Let’s break that down:
I didn’t know the insurance was useless until I got to the counter.
By then, it was far too late to cancel.
And apparently, because I didn’t cancel something I didn’t know I needed to cancel, I’m out the money.
This is nothing but a predatory fine-print policy that preys on travelers who reasonably assume the insurance offered at checkout is valid. Priceline passes the buck completely—they take your money, offer “protection,” and then shrug their shoulders when the rental agency refuses to honor it.
No accountability. No transparency. No refund.
I’ve used Priceline for years, but after this experience, I will never book a rental car through them again—and I strongly recommend others think twice before doing so. If their partners can deny services you paid for, and Priceline takes zero responsibility, then the whole system is rigged against the customer.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, book elsewhere.

I had planned a business trip from ******** ** ** **** **** ****** ** for three nights at the end of April. I booked my hotel through Priceline in early March, selecting a property within walking distance (about 5 minutes) from the convention center. The total cost was approximately $600.
About a week before the trip, I began receiving calls from Priceline indicating that the hotel could not locate my reservation. They offered to move me to a different hotel located about 15 minutes away by car, which I declined as it was not acceptable for the purposes of my trip. After several calls, a Priceline representative eventually reassured me that the issue had been resolved and provided a new confirmation number.
However, on the day of my trip—just as I was heading to the airport for my red-eye flight—I received another call from Priceline stating that the reservation could not be honored. I checked directly with the hotel and confirmed that rooms were still available, but the nightly rate had tripled since my original booking.
I continued speaking with multiple Priceline agents until boarding. The last representative promised that a manager would review the situation and follow up the next morning. That call never came. I arrived in ******* with no accommodation and eventually had to follow up myself around 1 or 2 PM. At that point, another agent told me the only option was to cancel the reservation for a full refund and receive an additional $94.59 as compensation for the inconvenience.
Ultimately, I was left stranded on the other side of the country with no place to stay. Due to a convention in the area, the only available hotels nearby were priced around $600 per night, which I was forced to pay in order to secure a room.

They allowed us to book a car so we switched airlines so we can drive home just to show up and there are no cars are on inventory. That should be illegal, the car agent said its an open booking service but no inventory.

I booked a hotel stay with priceline on April 26 2025. Priceline server said the transaction didn't go through please try again. So I did and it said, Appoved. I got to the hotel and they said you have 2 reservations for today. They canceled the 2nd reservation but priceline is making multiple excuses of why they can't refund my money. Never again.
