AARP was supposed to deduct premiums from my wifes account for her policy and my account for mine. I have talked to aarp reps 4 separate times and they still take all the money out of one account. These people would put a screen door on a submarine.

Paid to to become a member of AARP for the rewards purchase gift cards that were never received. My credit card has been charge multiple times with over ***** dollars in charges when asked to speak with a supervisor and escalate my concerns I was told they would generate a message to tech support and management and I would receive a call back . Customer ********************** was of no help ,had no answers and were rude. I have not heard back anything from anyone from aarp. I would never recommend this company and now have to involve my credit card company with this mess!

      Dear **************,

One of our ************* Ombudsman team members emailed you on July 5. There appears to be a mis-match in your credentials (name, address, etc.), prohibiting the charges and purchases from being completed. Your cards were never charged. You can respond directly to the email from our teammate.

      Thank you.

      Sincerely,

If I could give 0 stars I would. AARP travel overcharged us for our Alaska Cruise. It took months, hours on the phone and email to get our $ back. Now we are on the cruise and our on board credit that we were promised when we booked is not on our account. We've called twice from the ship and today was told to call when we get home to get our credit. What?!? Never again will I use AARP to book anything. Terrible customer ********************** and lying employees!!!

AARP article on chronic pain contains (Bulletin June 2024) contains misinformation. Any attempt to post accurate data from the *** or other websites is blocked. The article tells the patient to accept pain. Shameful and wrong. I quote "as a human, you want pain. pain is a protector it's good for your in certain situations. Ultimately the goal is to live well despite your pain status. It's not resigning to the fact that you are in pain but focusing on priortizing other aspects of your life and what matters most." As a chronic pain sufferer these words cut like a knife. These statements blame the patient for being in pain. AARP is preventing pain patients from receiving legitimate care. Check out their statement on TENS then read that there is no proof that TENS works.

We regret that you have elected to cancel your membership after 14 years. The message being conveyed in the article is that there are new ways to treat and deal with chronic pain, and AARP stands by the reporting in the story on a very important and complex issue for our readers. It also provides valuable service by outlining the primary non-surgical approaches to pain management and how to access each. Please accept our apology if you were offended by the article. AARP promotes companies like ****************** and Affinity cellular. Both of those companies are horrible! AARP isn't much better. I save $2 per month off Consumer cellular and the only other time I get to use my discount is at *******. Big deal. Most of the free gifts they give you for your membership are cheap junk.

I was tricked to believe that I got 6 Fair air round trip tickets if buying a package deal to ******. I am 76 years old and I was rushed by the timer to book and did not have time to compare but believe and trusted that AARP was getting Seniors a fair cost of airline tickets. Not so. When I printed the itinerary it only showed package cost no break down with only 24 hours to cancel. When I received my hard copy credit card statement the following billing cycle, I saw that the cost of air fare per ticket exceeded mid range normal cost to hawaii which is $500 to $550. Could be less at times with specials. I was charged the highest cost of $816 per ticket and I purchased 6 for me and my family. I was outraged and felt scammed by AARP to believe I got a decent fare. If AARP is really looking out for seniors rates should be negotiated so Airlines charge us mid range or less. I feel AARP should issue a refund of $200 per ticket to my credit card since Airline is not responding to my request to get a lower fare. I would be OK if cost is reduced to $616 per tickets which is still above medium price. I have been a member for 27 years and I am disappointed to have been taken advantage in such a way. I hope AARP will do the right thing as I am struggling but this was to be our last chance to travel as a family together. This was my first time using your travel services and was trusting your agency to get seniors fair cost of travel. It wasn't and my itinerary doesnt even show the flight # only confirmation #. This is totally wrong not to be transparent when issuing itenuary for us to review immediately the breakdown cost. Please you should accept some responsibilty for this injustice and unfair practice. I pray that this will reach a person that care about seniors and understand the harm this is causing me financially. It is so unfair that Hotels can be refunded but Airlines locks people in. I hope you agree to refund $200 per ticket
