I relied on the information on the AARP website to be accurate. AARP website shows member benefits including restaurant coupons and discounts. AARP website contains a coupon of 10% off total bill for New China Buffet on *************, **. The coupon expires 14 day from the date of printing of the coupon. Today, I printed the coupon and dined at the food establishment on the same date. However, upon presenting the coupon to New China Buffet, they declined the coupon and advised that they neither authorized nor paid AARP regarding any coupons. As a matter of fact, they stopped promoting the restaurant with coupons for quite some time. New China Buffet admits that they have had other customers tried using coupons but they do not honor them. They do not feel that it is their responsibility to ask AARP to take down the 10% coupon from their website. There is only one New China Buffet on *************. The restaurant has relocated from their old location to a new location for a few years now. This is deceptive practice of AARP advertising member benefits but provide fictitious discounts to its members.

AARP partners with a third-party provider, ******************, to source the coupons offered to our members. ****************** is responsible for managing merchant participation in the Entertainment coupon program. We will notify ****************** about this complaint so they can investigate the issue directly with the merchant. If the merchant is removed from the program, the associated coupon discount will no longer be available to our members.

AARP Customer ********************** and support of its members is deplorable. They support and have a relationship with United Healthcare, who are equally inept. I contacted AARP to help me with an issue/refund from UHC and I got absolutely no assistance whatsoever. *** told me I would receive a refund for a dental service but they lied and AARP was no help. I have UHC for my Medicare coverage now but will be leaving *** in October. I will also never renew my AARP membership. AARP does nothing but take your money. In no way are they supportive. ***, The BBB is an awesome organization, they have helped me in many ways in the past several years.

Why would AARP endorse United Healthcare when they are notorious for not providing medical treatment and coverage? Is this a joke - makes me wonder about AARP. United Healthcare's CREO got killed for their unethical business practices and AARP is endorsing them? Time to quit AARP

After 17 years of loyal membership, my AARP rewards account was not functioning properly. Spent months trying to get things resolved. Followed all of the guidance. Then I got an email saying I was in violation, implying I was gaming or using some computer program to earn rewards. All I did was enthusiastically complete as many activities as the program allows. Now they have deactivated my account and there is no way to reach anyone. They are deactivated all of the points earned over years.

Had AARP The Hartford for around 5 years and recently got rid of the auto insurance due to poor customer ********************** relating to a auto accident claim on 11-10-2024. The Hartford drug their feet on handling my hot-and-run claim auto body shop amendments and ran up my costs by over ********. The attitude of AARP The Hartford claim handlers was pathetic,
