For a business that claims to be there to help the elderly they certainly do something that brings them a lot of harm. If you feel inspired to join, give them the phone number of your enemy. They sell your personal information to every scam artist on the planet. Prior to joining AARP I would get 1 or 2 scam or unwanted business calls a year. In the first month after joining I literally got hundreds. I now fear loosing my phone not because of lost numbers or photos but because I would lose the block number list that has thousands of numbers. Its been several years since I dropped AARP after my first subscription and I am still getting several scam calls daily.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. AARP takes your feedback related to receiving unwanted phone calls seriously. In researching this matter, I see an account for you which started on 4/2/16 and expired on 4/30/17. AARP also provides members and others the opportunity to control their communication preferences. However, there is no phone number nor email address linked to your AARP membership account in our database. We encourage you to enter your information with the National Do Not Call Registry to help limit spam phone calls. You may do so via their website here: https://www.donotcall.gov/
