      I paid AARP for a 5 year Membership and received my card as proof of Me
      Membership. I was later advised by AARP that I am a non member. I asked how is that possible since I had paid for membership and was sent a my Membership card to prove it. They never replied back after sending them 3 emails. AARP is a scam!

      They lie one lie after another. I have been trying to get my credit from a stay in Richmond VA on Aug 13, 22 and have called 12 times plus.
      Each time they say we are working on it and have to call the property for wavier before you can get credit. Each time they say we can't get them on the phone so we will have to email them.
      The property has agreed to give me credit they just won't give it to me.
      They are the worst people to deal with ever. They take your money and they don't want to do anything to help you.
      They think I am going to forget about it. Well it is no change that will happen.
      If you are member CANCEL.
      I and going to keep calling until I get to the top and my credit is given.
      The BBB should close them down.

      Fleeced AGAIN by AARP. For an organization supposed to safeguard its members, they sure do a lousy job. A while back, I had opted for one of their annuity plans. BIG MISTAKE! Instead of pointing out both sides of that move (pluses and minuses) they focused on that aspect which would give them (AARP) the most dollars . That left its members (like me) stuck with a bad choice.
      I want out of AARP and will NEVER again rely on them for anything!
