If I could give this company negative zero stars it would be too much. This is the worst company I've ever encountered. The only thing they are good at is monopolizing your time by regurgitating the lies they've been trained to expel. If you ever needed a company that excels in placing you on hold, passing you along to the next rep just to be hung up on or passed along, or perhaps you're into being fed one line of c*** after another just to be told in the end "we are expediting this" and it goes into the eternal basket linked to the black hole....then you've found your perfect home warranty "protection"! What a joke. I have 1 owner who has 5 contracts and has never received thousands of out of pocket expenses we were told would be reviewed due to being forced to use our own contractor, I have another one who's ac went out 21 days ago and 2 techs were issued and have been told "they are reviewing the techs notes", now "we are expediting matters", oh wait!..."I'm sorry it was not but we are doing that now"...OH WAIT... "I'm sorry it wasn't...."lets escalate that now"...21 days later after speaking to corporate (thanks a lot ******), still crickets. THEY ARE THE WORST and should be *** d for theft of services! I will be contacting the **************************************************), should anyone else need to know who oversees all of these home warranty companies who are all a joke. I suspect the reviews on their website is falsified and coerced. I can't submit all details here, but this company should not be in business and I am not speaking from 1 or even 2 experiences, this is a years worth of evidence and the owners should be fully reimbursed for all of the contracts they were misled due to misrepresentation of their services and terrible customer service. How do you give a company an A+ rating that isn't even accredited? I'M STILL WAITING ON A PHONE CALL FROM THEIR OFFICE SINCE FILING MY COMPLAINT AND IT'S BEEN 6.5 DAYS SINCE I VOICEED MY UPSET...RIDICULOUS!!American Residential Warranty

American Residential Warranty assured me they were better than all the other home warranty companies as they would value me and my needs. Tonight, my Freezer went out on my refrigerator with tons of meat that would go bad. The best they could do is get me service in 3 to 5 days. Are you kidding me in a time of needed income, they are going to take food from my children's mouths because they can't get someone to my home before 3 to 5 days. I will be canceling my services tomorrow as I dealt with the nastiest customer reps today who could not service my needs or the needs of my family. I am sorry that I work all day to come home to an issue at 8 pm and ARW only has people servicing the needs that can't understand me any more than I can understand them. BBB should never consider you, and I assure the ************************ will become involved. Don't ever stop with BBB. Go to the ************************ to get your concerns settled.American Residential Warranty

This company has given me the runaround about getting a refund. I enrolled in June and was told that I have 30 days to cancel without any problems. I changed my mind due to awful wait times in talking with customer service and decided I like my current home warranty company better. I cancelled the policy one week later. I was told that I would receive a refund within 30 days. It is now day 36 and no refund. Every time I call the company they try to get me to come back. i asked to talk with a supervisor and no supervisor was around. They were in "meetings." They hung up on me. This is AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. i WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! And I am STILL WAITING on MY REFUND!!!How is it that I can receive an email to CONFIRM my purchase, but NO EMAIL TO CONFIRM MY CANCELLATION??? And no supervisor to talk to? They are a horrible company you cant get to the same person twice. NO ONE ACTUALLY READS the notes from before. Several of the customer service people I had the misfortune of dealing with absolutely lied to me. It was a garage door opener that went bad they said its a replacement item not a repairable item They said it could only be purchased through them from the local Lowes every time i found a opener that was equal to mine they said it was out of stock. I finally went there and a took a picture of the 6 they actually had on the floor there Then they said it couldn't be over $300 well the unit I had was a high end unit I didn't want a cheep low end unit. In the mean time this was taking for ever to get completed then they finally said I could pay the extra so they charged m card the difference. They said they sent the purchase order to Lowes 3 times they never git it and the ** number wasn't a number Lowes ever uses it started with a letter not a number. after an aditional10 days they finally agreed to send me the money and let me purchase it this process took several weeks. 1 star is more then they deserve I am just glad I only bought the policy for 1 year AND THEY CERTAINLY DO NOT DESERVE A A+ rating from BBB I question their objectivity as well SATAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTSAmerican Residential Warranty

I signed up about a year back in July 2021. I spoke to he rep when signing up and told him please do not auto-renew the contract, please contact me and I will make the decision then. I had to call three times and finally placed a claim for them to cancel, which should have never been renewed without my consent, and they are still not sending me my money back, ****** of it. This has caused hardship and I for this reason will not purchase again due to their lack of respectAmerican Residential Warranty

ARW does not have a call-back feature for long wait times, as many premier businesses do.ARW website does not display the full account number needed by the claims ********************************* website does not provide an online claims feature.I filed a claim for my AC which was fulfilled 5/31/2022. My AC is out again as of 07/12/2022. I was not able to reopen the prior claim and had to file a new claim. The claims assistant was not able to obtain pertinent info from the prior claim. This definitely needs to be addressed by the company for improvement.American Residential Warranty

American residential warranty will not stop calling nor emailing. They say you MUST cancel in writing ONLY. With my account number, I sent to the address required, twice canceling service. I also reached out through website email address, twice to cancel account. They are playing games, probably throwing letters away and kept charging. Even a third party company is calling asking me to join back up. I did not update card info because I canceled account by letter TWICE . Sent letter in May and in June of **************************************** they would just go on charging. The emails they send you can't respond to. They also have no email address on ****** to contact them directly "easily".Thus until THEY want to cancel your stuck..not me I CANCELED AS THEY REQUESTED. They can read on BBB WEBSITE... "cancel my account". Now you have received 3 letters to cancel.American Residential Warranty

If I could give no stars and write this review I would have. This company is terrible! I have paid for their top plan for over a year ($70.71). My A/C isn't working properly so I called in a claim. ******* ************* came out and stated that I had a freon leak. This company denied my claim stating that my plan foes not cover freon leaks. When I first inquired about coverage a year ago I was told that their top plan covers everything. Now I'm being told that I don't have an additional plan that covers freon leaks. The customer service reps I encountered were rude and uncaring. I caution and will caution anyone who asks about dealing with this company. Judging from all of the negative reviews, the BBB rating needs to be changed to reflect the terrible service and dishonedt business practices for these scam artists! Do not deal with this company! I hope the *** of American Residential Warranty sees this. If I could give ARW 0 stars I would. This company is a scam. I'm just glad I didn't have years under my belt paying them before I found out their scandalous ways. To make a long story short, the first and only claim I've submitted with said company was a total disaster. Their partnered contractor didn't do anything but tell us the part required for repair was discontinued. According to ARW's FALSE advertising, if it can't be repaired it can be replaced. This company did neither. Either the contractor or ARW could've searched for a compatible part through a different manufacturer or even offered a decent buyout price. They did absolutely nothing valuable but did provide rudeness, attitude, lies and offered close to nothing as a buyout. I have been back and forth with ARW regarding my claim for over a month, and nothing has been satisfactory. They also say that you can cancel at any time... This is a lie. I called to cancel today which should be effective today or at least that's what we were told prior to signing the agreement. The "Retention Specialist" told me cancellation won't be in effect until 07/22/22 since my last charge was on 06/23/22. This prevents them from prorating your refund for the full amount due. I was also told that I might not get my full prorated refund amount due to the buyout they issued which may be deducted from the refund. On top of this, it may take up to 30 days to see it reflected. It didn't take 30 days for the company to get my money. For all consumers out there trying to protect your home from costly repairs and replacements - ARW is NOT the way to go... BE WARNED!!!American Residential Warranty
