      We are posting this to share our experience with this company. To begin, the first sales presentation we attended was an exhausting and terrible experience. We talked to at least three different salesmen about purchasing a timeshare and each time we were hesitant or said no. They became aggressive and kept passing us on to someone else until we finally settled to purchase. Their sales practices are concerning and we hoped that we would not receive the same treatment after submitting complaints. However, we have been going back and forth with the **************************** of Vacation Village for quite some time in correspondence to our complaints. Not once did any of their emails to us acknowledge our complaints or even try to resolve them. The only thing they could tell us was that they have a hardship program and that only certain owners could qualify. In order to qualify, you have to prove you are going through a medical or financial hardship by submitting supporting documents, as well as pay a $1,500 settlement fee. If you qualify, they will let you out of your timeshare contract. We responded to this offer by explaining that we do not feel comfortable sending personal documents to a company that has deceived us. We feel that it is completely irrelevant and disheartening that this is the only way they will let owners out of their contract. We have spent a tremendous amount of time and money dealing with Vacation Village. If these were the requirements to be allowed out of the contract, we should have been notified of this in the beginning. Have someone in management reach out to us and send information on how we can proceed with the cancelation of our account.

      I bought the timeshare with my late husband in ****. We used it 1 time in ****. I do not remember the price. It is paid off. Since my husbands passing I've been on a fixed income, the maintenance fee rises yearly and it is becoming unmanageable. I've been attempting to use Westgates program to return the timeshare but they continue to tell me the developer declined my application. I do not understand how they can do this, it doesn't seem right that they are allowed string people like me along with false promises. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could contact ******** and urge them to do the right thing. I can't afford to keep paying for this timeshare I'll never use again. Thank you

      I was led to believe that I could rent out my timeshare when I wasnt using it, and that the resort would assist me with doing that. This has proven to be a lie.I was never informed of my right to cancel or rescission time. In fact, the cancellation process was never explained in detail at all.I was never informed that the yearly maintenance fees associated with this timeshare would increase.I agreed to attend a 90-minute presentation that lasted for 3 hours. They tried to get me to upgrade what I was buying.I was not allowed to use my phone during this time. Had I been allowed to; I would have been able to do my own research and never would have bought.I expressed multiple times that I was not interested in this, nor could I afford this purchase. Instead of respecting my financial decision the sales rep went to get the manager who applied heavier pressure and better deals.I was led to believe that I did not have time to think about this. I was told that this offer was only good for today only so I needed to decide right then and there.During the signing of the documents, I was led through in a point and sign fashion.I believe that I was taken advantage of due to my ethnicity. I realized that this timeshare had been misrepresented to me the first time I tried to book a reservation and had to use points.I am on a fixed income.The high fees associated with this timeshare are causing a financial burden on **** am seeking full release of this timeshare obligation due to entering this contract under many false pretenses, not being able to use it, and the high cost of the maintenance fees. This has become a financial burden and it serves me no other purpose.

      Vacation Village has no appreciation for its customers. We have been diligent in trying to contact Vacation Village in regard to our account. It's appalling to know they charge so much to be apart of their facility. There is no compassion in their customer service. Tak your business elsewhere if you want what you pay for.

      I have bites all over my body that I fear are bed bug bites. I want the room I stayed in to be inspected and I want a copy of the inspection report. Vacation Village Resorts, ****************************************************************************, *************************** #****B. I am going to see a dermatologist today for proper diagnosis, but I may have additional expenses with possible luggage infestation and car infestation and now my home possibly being infested with having brought my suitcase in my car and home.

      We are filing a complaint against Vacation Villages timeshare due to the lies and misrepresentations made by the salesteam during the time of our purchase. We were not able to travel where we wanted and when we wanted. The places we wanted to go to had no available resorts in the area. For some of the places we wanted to visit, we had to book a resort 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from where we wanted to be. Several of the resorts were older and run-down. In one of the places, the floor sloped toward the center of the room, the sliding glass door had a wooden dowel in the track because the lock was broken. Air conditioning wasnt working in the middle of summer at a resort, tv didnt work at one resort, the pool was closed in some locations, and some of the restaurants and other amenities were open at the resort. Covid hit, and everything shut down, or if and when something was open, you had to quarantine upon arrival or return, and *** didnt have that much vacation time scheduled to be able to travel with those types of restrictions. We have only stayed in a resort once in the last six years. We converted points to hotel stays just to be able to use points, but that isnt allowed anymore. We have been paying maintenance fees for something we havent been able to use as promised. We are entering retirement years (***** has already retired), and *** will be in less than two years, and income is lower, and we dont have that kind of money to waste year after year. We have no desire to use the timeshare in the future, and it is no longer feasible for us. We have reached out to Vacation Villages to discuss exiting our ownership. Their Owners ********************** told us that since we have rented out our timeshare week, then we are not eligible for their feedback program. We are not really happy about this because we were told there was no deed back program to begin with. We haven't been successful in renting it, and it is hurting us further to remain as members.

      I have not gotten any kind of response from Vacation Villages regarding my desire to cancel this timeshare. I just keep getting spam regarding points and usage. I want to know what this company is working on for me to get a cancellation. We havent been acknowledged by this timeshare which is very offensive. This company has made accusations about me working with someone to get out of my timeshare which is weird and confusing. Not only is it rude. Its abusive and wastes time while they keep billing me. If I ever have a friend or family proofread my letters to make sure I get grammar right its because I like to have a little self-respect. If thats what they are picking up on then good for them. They are not answering or acknowledging my need to cancel this timeshare because I cant afford it. Honestly, they sound like more of an abuser who is gaslighting instead of a big company trying to force someone to stick to a contract that is a trap.I have to take care of my parents physically and financially. I cant handle all these extra fees and expenses. Its mean and abusive to force a caregiver to spend their limited income on their company instead of household and medical expenses. I dont use this timeshare and I want it canceled. I want a refund to. They put me in this position and its not my fault.Please help me cancel this timeshare, its a waste of my desperately needed money.Thank you,*********************

      Vacation Villages has the WORST customer service. I have reached out multiple times wanting to cancel the timeshare that I don't even use. ********************* has escalated me to Corporate Relations and they have not acknowledged anything I've sent. This is very unprofessional and makes me even more skeptical of this company if this is how their CORPORATE employees handle business. I want my timeshare membership canceled and a refund of the money I've wasted on this scam.

      To whom it may concern,I am thoroughly frustrated with the way you all are handling this situation. I think that it is time for your sales management, and someone higher up in the company to step in at once to get this fixed immediately. *** asked nicely for you all to remove me from this ridiculous contract, but youre steadily hounding my pockets for more money. You all did not make it clear that maintenance fees would continue to go up year after year. You also led us to believe that we would have the ability to resale our timeshare and that it would be an ease of use and scheduling vacations We have only accessed this timeshare ONCE in the 17 years that we have been owners! This experience has just been awful and I do not want to burden my children with this. You make it seem like its a good investment but in my eyes this was the worst thing I might have ever spent money on. My family and I could plan vacations without this timeshare and we would be able to go wherever we wanted to go whenever we wanted to. I would never recommend Vacation Villages, not even to my worst enemy. Unbind us from this contract and we will be out of your hair.*************************** ***********************

      I was notified last month (10/2022) that I won a raffle at an event in ********** ** that I attended 8/6/22. I won a free vacation to Williamsburg and an additin 3night 4 days stay as a bonus vacation along with my $99 deposit being returned in the form of the **** gift card that would be given to me at the end of the tour. The final gift card amount would be $349 including my refund for holding my spot for the tour ($99). I went to the tour on November 7th I was told the tour would be ninety minutes and after well over three hours I was finally driven back to original office where the tour guide told me I would collect my gifts right away. I was then hounded again by a man who claimed to be from corporate in mismatched business attire, sloppy dressed I politely told him I did not want to sign up for the timeshare again. He then told me he would take me to the window where I can claim my gifts finally. I went to the window and was immediately asked my last name and given a blank envelope that had shorts written on the front and $349. Once I returned home I opened the envelope and thought it was weird that the paperwork inside had no value amount for the gift card or personalized information regarding the card. The next day I went to the gas station and remembered I needed to activate the gift card before use. I called the number on the card and was asked to enter the 16 digit card number, I did so and was then asked for the three digit security code on the back of the card I entered the three digits and the system told me I had entered in the wrong information. I was then connected to the representative who told me the car was locked and I would not be able to use for 24 hrs. My gift card does not work and I believe I have been scammed. I have contacted the card company and resort for my full refund and an active gift card!!!
