      They denied me my MRI, delaying my treatment by 2 months. The condition is now worse. I had to appeal and eventually got the denial overturned. What more can be said about a for-profit company overriding my doctor. They also cannot update my address, despite calling and changing 9 separate times. Thankfully, I can cancel them, which I will.

      02/03/24 @ 9:53 am *******, **. I had called this morning to speak with a manager/ supervisor regarding coverage with my insurance that was not what I confirmed with the male I spoke with in December of 2023. So when the agent got on the phone, I asked him to transfer me to a manager or supervisor, he put me on hold and came back and said he needed more information. Once I gave him the information, he proceeds to tell me that he will transfer me to the prescription coverage department to let me know why my medication isn't covered as much as I said. I stopped him and said I wanted to speak with the manager and not someone to go over my benefits. Because I already understood it wasn't what the male in December explained. After going back and forth, with this agent just repeating what he said last and continuously putting me on hope while not trying to fix the issue, I asked for his name. And he started mocking me. Making up some names. And put me on hold. Why on hold, somehow the agent took me off of hold not realizing it. He starting talking to out agents laughing, saying oh I told her I'd tell the manager. Then someone said in the back, do you have her on mute or hold, he replied yes. But he didn't , so quickly he put my call on hold. Once he returned on the phone I did let him know I heard everything he was saying. And he mumbled something and put me on hold and never returned to to call. I don't appreciate the someone mocking me when I'm trying to get medication while I'm recovering from cancer. How is this even allowed. I definitely think this agent is not someone that there to actually help. And i definitely think he shouldn't be working at a company that does so. I would for this to be handled correctly so that no one else goes through this.

      If I could use a negative star, I would. I worked with BCBSIL for a new vision coverage policy they were offering in 2023, I bundled with health and dental insurance. The BCBSIL team never clearly explained that they have a different platform to pay that policy, they never sent any letters or notifications to us that we were late in payment (we expected our monthly payment covered the eye insurance). In July we received the only notification that we were late in payment. We immediately addressed and they said the policy was fine. The platform they said provided all information NEVER sent any notifications, never notified us that we had a pending balance and didn't send us a letter about our next payment. However, they did send information to the Broker. They canceled our coverage and never notified us in mail or through the platform. When I asked that they reinstate the policy due to their lack of communication, they refused and said they already did it once. The sheer incompetence and lack of communication with a customer that was clearly willing to pay the bill when ACTUALLY notified, is disappointing. They could have sent is notifications through email but never did, they could have sent a letter in the mail but never did until it was too late. We NEVER agreed to ONLY have communication through the platform - which by the way never actually did anything productive and never notified us when there was a message or bill for our account. I have asked my broker and BCBSIL to figure this out and reinstate us. And BCBSIL refuses to respond and they have removed all record of our account on the platform (which also sounds like they're hiding something). This experience with BCBSIL has been terrible and I will continue to share it with regulators and other insurance entities, your first year providing vision insurance has been a complete failure, you should show at least minimal competence in communicating and engaging with your customers.       If i was able to leave a 0/5 review I would. This company raked in $12 Billion last year and I truly feel as though they are operating in ways to figure out how to not cover/insure individuals. I submitted a $5K claim July 3rd, 2023 and still has NOT received any word that my file is done processing. Getting the complete run around BS and its impossible to speak with someone who knows what's going on or has the ability to truly help. *** made well over 100 plus phone calls, spent over 48 hrs of talk time on the phone with them and have had to submit my claim 16 plus times. By no means should ANYONE go through such an experience when we ******* a premium for coverage. Circling back to the fact they raked in $12 billion makes sense now that they're complete frauds and scumbags who do not care about helping people although this is the business of "helping" people. Please, I urge you that if you are reading this, think twice before paying for this scam these fraudsters call insurance.

      Terrible, lost coverage from their billing mistake. They took ******** for payment over the phone, I asked if it was the correct amount, they confirmed it was the correct amount. Only to find out a month later that it wasn't. got an email saying they cancelled my policy. I called to figure out why, turns out they took the wrong amount. It was supposed to be ********, asked why it took them over a month to notify me of this, no answer. I asked why I didn't receive a confirmation of payment, no answer. I asked them to reinstate my policy and they refused. They then told me I can sign up for a new policy. So, over 100 dollars, they cancelled my policy. They took the wrong amount, and they cancelled my policy. They took over a month to notify me of this. This is just sickening. Reading these reviews, I'm sure they're going to say "Thank you for your inquiry. We are reviewing the case and will reach out to the member directly with a resolution." They wont. And if they do, it wont be a good resolution. Or they'll take over a month to send a notice.

      About 3-4 months ago, ******* sent a large payment intended to go to my provider to the wrong address where it subsequently fell into the wrong hands and was cashed by someone else. ******* refuses to issue a new check to the correct address and says it's on my provider to deal with her local police about this matter. I am hopeful the company will uphold their mission to provide affordable insurance and swiftly resolve this matter, which they have the means to do on their end, before their own member has to literally start paying the price.Some background: ******* verified in writing it was indeed not my provider who signed the check that was cashed. One message from a customer service rep read: "We have obtained a copy of the check in question and have confirmed that the provider did not sign the check prior to deposit. This is now a matter that the provider will need to continue to pursue with their local police department, as no further action can be performed on our end."Now, a police report might be a feasible option if ******* offered up a copy of this proof or literally ANY details on which bank cashed this check and seems actually at fault for this unauthorized payment. We also live in ************* so it's laughable to think the **** would file anything with such minimal details, and with the involvement of an insurance company that should have the means to manage this issue on their end. As of now, its been months since the check was sent to the wrong address by ******* and ultimately cashed. They haven't been able to prove who or what caused the address error. Part of me wonders if they're letting the clock run out on having to deal with this.*******, through various customer service reps, is providing mixed messages - it's a situation that is completely out of their control to fix, or they need to further investigate and we will need to wait several more weeks or possibly months to get clarity. Which is it? We're still waiting.

      THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS-- After logging in to the blue cross blue shield app to find a provider. I get to the dentist appointment and sure enough, that's when I find out they are not taking my insurance. Blue Cross have been in their portal / app for PPO when I have **** I called them to ask for help, and to understand why I only have the option to see the PPO provider list and not the **** The nastiest, most unprofessional agent ****** explains that I can't not see the dentist because I have HMO, I told her I understand that but that when I log into the portal it does not show me the option for an HMO provider. She became repetitive repeating the same thing over again. I then told her simply that the portal is F broke ! ****** says in Spanish "pedazo de ****** " which is translation for " Piece of sh*t" then places me on hold. Never came back to the phone and no she did not call back. I called back to speak with a sup, it seems that they do not take calls, nor call back. At the end of the day I call back in hope to speak with one, and *********************** finally took my call. She began to lecture me on how she did not see anything wrong the rep did. She began to tell me how she is the manager and sup over her department. Classic !

      Spent 2 hours on the phone to just confirm if a provider is in network and still no resolution. Bought the insurance through marketplace and did not even the subsidy. Ridiculously high deductible and my doctors and specialists are out of network. They defaulted me to a ************* that is 50+ miles away and will not allow me to switch my medical group. **************** made me spell 'PHYSICIANS URGENT CARE' BCBS needs to examine every single aspect of their service including system capabilities, network data, customer service, supervisors who are willing to take calls when their front line employees are struggling. Just collecting the premium and expecting employees to be so frustrated that they give up and not see their doctor timely is putting the Americans health at RISK!!!!
