Last year we were on a trip that had a long flight delay. The delay lead to many parts of our trip falling through. In hopes of being covered I research and found that Seven Corners was a well regarded insurance agency -- I was wrong.Our claims were submitted and for months did not hear back. After many, many escalations our claims was denied. Multiple escalations later we were denied again.It is not clear to me why an insurance company, who's purpose is to cover the expenses of a trip lost due to travel delays does not cover the very same. And while my friends who insured for less with Allianz were paid out.. Seven Corners still will not. Not a company anyone should use, nor one I'd ever recommendBusiness Response

On March, 16, 2023 I ************************* Purchased travel insurance from seven corners **** for ****** dollars for my plane tickets to *****. Cost *******, Travel dates 4-6-23 - 4-16-23. On April, 15, 2023 Me and my husband was 4hours early to abroad are flight to ***** ***** that's when our problems started the flight got delayed for 6hours due to shortage of staff members and bad weather .We got stranded at the airport for 8hours due to inclement weather and staff storage we miss our fight to GO BACK HOME TO PHILADELPHILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DUE TO NO HELP FROM AIRLINE WE WERE FORCE TO PURCHASED AND ADDITIONAL ONE WAY FLIGHT BACK HOME FOR *******. ALSO I MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE MATTER WITH SEVEN CORNERS, IM GETTING A HARD TIME FROM THAT COMPANY. ME AND MY HUSBAND WAS STRANDED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. I filed a claim # ******** over two months ago with seven corners. On Aug 8th they requested additional documentation which I immediately provided that day. On Sept 28th I followed up about the claim. On October 1st I received a generic email asking for the claim number. I have not heard anything sinceBusiness Response

We have reviewed *************************** refund request of the premium paid for the purchased Roundtrip Choice (AOS) plan.
Please be aware that the Roundtrip Choice (AOS) plan has a 14 Day Free Look Period from the date of purchase.
Plan language is noted below:
"14 Day Free Look Period
If You are not satisfied for any reason, You may cancel this policy within 14 days from the date of purchase by providing Us or Our authorized representative the cancellation notice. We will refund Your premium provided there has been no incurred loss; You have not departed on Your Trip or filed a claim under this policy. When so returned, all coverages under this policy are invalid from the beginning."
****************** refund request was made outside of the 14-day free look period and she filed a claim under the policy.
For these reasons we cannot honor the consumers request.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Seven Corners **** in relation to my travel claim- Certificate Number: 1TPB23-AOS-103909. My complaint arises from the denial of my claim by Seven Corners ****, and I firmly believe that my appeal merits a reevaluation due to the extenuating circumstances surrounding my trip cancellation.I received a letter from Seven Corners **** informing me of the rejection of my travel insurance claim. This decision has left me deeply disappointed and concerned. I would like to take this opportunity to outline the events and circumstances leading to my appeal, in the hope that you will consider the validity of my claim and the compelling reasons for my dissatisfaction.At the outset, I would like to emphasize that I made every possible effort to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in the travel protection plan provided by Seven Corners **** When I was forced to cancel my trip, I engaged in a conversation with an airline representative just two days prior to my scheduled departure. During this conversation, the airline representative explicitly informed me that my ticket was non-refundable, rendering any cancellation unnecessary. I relayed this information precisely as it was communicated to me during the initial claim filing process.Furthermore, it is essential to highlight the significant challenges I faced in attempting to communicate with the airline, mainly due to language barriers and other unforeseen circumstances. Despite these obstacles, I diligently kept Seven Corners informed throughout the claims filing process, providing detailed accounts of the difficulties I encountered while trying to secure cooperation from the airline.During the initial claim submission, I made it a point to discuss these challenges with Seven Corners' customer service representatives. Following their guidance, I embarked on a mission to obtain some form of documentation from the airline that could serve as tangible evidence of our decision not to take the flight. The objective was to furnish concrete proof of my adherence to the cancellation requirements.I am fully aware of the policy's terms concerning the Cancel for Any Reason benefit and the stipulation that cancellations must occur at least two days before the scheduled departure date. However, it is my sincere belief that my case merits an exception due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the cancellation and the subsequent difficulties I encountered.I kindly request that my appeal be subjected to a comprehensive review that takes into account the challenges I faced during this process. I appreciate their prompt response regarding my travel protection claim under Certificate Number: 1TPB23-AOS-103909, and I understand that they are addressing both my complaint (********) and appeal (********) in this communication.In response to their request for additional documentation, I would like to highlight that I have included a Doctor ***** Summary that clearly demonstrates our trip cancellation due to my sick baby, *****************************. This summary confirms the diagnosis, the date it was received, and the treating physician's advice against travel. This, in my view, qualifies for trip cancellation due to family illness under the policy terms.
I understand their review found that I was deemed a no-show by the airline on the scheduled departure date. I must clarify that this was a direct result of my adherence to the treating physician's advice against travel due to my baby's illness. Unfortunately, I had to prioritize my child's health and safety.
While I empathize with their need to uphold policy terms and conditions, I firmly believe that the circumstances surrounding my trip cancellation, supported by the provided documentation, warrant a reconsideration of my claim under the Trip Cancellation provision. I kindly request a thorough reevaluation taking into account these circumstances.

I purchased a vacation to ***** in Feb of 2021. I was supposed to travel in late September into October. I had to delay that trip and was then scheduled to travel late April into May. Meanwhile my orthopedist (**************) informed me that the knee which had been replaced could not be improved. I realized that I could not maintain the level of activity required for a trip to *****. My insurance guaranteed a refund for any reason. This company and the travel company itself have been giving me the runaround ever since I canceled my trip in late January. I am still owed $2805.50 which they refuse to give me. I have several emails and have had some conversations over the phone. The travel insurance people (Seven Corners) tell me to go to the travel company *********** for a resolution and vice versa.Business Response

They still are stonewalling ** with ridiculous and redundant requests for more substantiation of claims. My encounter with Seven Corners *** gives the impression of an entity operating beyond regular oversight. They appear unresponsive to complaints lodged with the BBB, the ************************** and even channels as high up as the ***************** in *******. It leads one to wonder if this company enjoys protection from influential figures within the authorities. This lack of acknowledgment for numerous complaints, resulting in closed cases without resolution, raises significant concerns. Perhaps there's a need for collective action, as I have claimed since January 2023 upto now after submitting every required document then no response as only seven corners can respond to reviews as pain-killer messages, not constructive solutionsBusiness Response

I have had a terrible experience with 7 Corners Insurance and am extremely upset. I purchased a trip for almost $5,000.00 with ***************** and elected to get travel insurance. Never did I realize that it is essentially impossible to receive coverage on this trip! Although last minute, I had to cancel my trip as I had a skin condition that was starting to spread. I was planning on going to ******, ********, and ****** where spas were a major attraction. I was legitimately only looking out for my fellow travelers with ***************** as what I had was starting to become contagious. Can you imagine if I went anyway, and I got everyone sick? The amount of money 7 Corners would have to pay would be astronomical! I was trying to do the right thing and figured I had insurance and could get something back. My claim was denied stating my condition was pre-existing. True, I went for a visit to my doctor before the trip just for a consultation, not for when this problem occurred where I needed further medical treatments after the trip was booked. It only became urgent later on. I don't even want the money back-I just want some type of agreement to be reached or settlement where I can go on a trip. No one from 7 Corners is helping me, and I find it completely unreasonable and not good business. This isn't how you treat your customers! I am asking for help and to see if there can be some type of agreement reached-unlike others, I am not even asking for the full amount. I don't even need it to be in cash! I do not accept spending almost $5,000 on a trip that took me YEARS to save as a college student, and to then be punished when I was just looking out for my fellow travelers. Please help! I have been awaiting forever from EF TOURS AND THIS VENDOR for a refund From my son's tour. And they keep giving me tge run around.
