Im having ongoing issues with the meijer app overcharging me and placing hold on my credit card which wont drop. On 05/26, I placed and picked up two orders from **************************************. The larger order went fine, but the smaller one wouldnt register as picked up even to this day despite calling Meijers multiple times. I spoke with bank today and discovered a bogus $12 from that day, presumably regarding the order still showing as ready for pick up. I have spent hours trying to clean up this mess. i bought 3 food items from Meijers, **** that were packaged by Meijers, **** on May 20, 2024 and ONLY ATE THOSE 3 ITEMS THAT DAY. About or within an hour of eating those items, my stomach started hurting and was getting worse as time passed. i decided to treat it myself because i dont trust hospitals anymore. (A good example of a recent death from food poisoning - Famous actress, *****************************.)So i filed a complaint with the store and they are only offering me $50 compensation for a signed agreement from me for all that trouble. I am rejecting this response because: i do NOT TRUST HOSPITALS (as far as i can throw them). Thats the reason i did not go to the hospital as i said in the original complaint. The hospital will let you DIE. And i am NOT the kind of woman that makes false accusations. If need be, i can get a character witness statement. i think ?? going through this poisoning situation deserves much more than $50.

This is for the ********* location. It was not on the selection in the drop down box. I placed a pickup order on Saturday, for Sunday pickup. I had ground beef in my order that was on sale for $1.99 lb. (5 total). The pickup manager calls and leaves a voicemail stating the sale price can not be honored because the item was no longer on sale. But when I checked out it was. She said if I still wanted the meat that I would be charged the full dollar amount, to call and let them know. A male employee in pickup picked up the phone and asked if I was calling in regards to the pop being canceled. I said no, I'm calling about ground beef. He said they were calling and canceling all the sale orders. Even though online it showed the sale price. My order total was $36 and some change. And instead I was charged $93.54. If the item shows the sale price when you check out that's what you should be charged. It should not be adjusted because the sale ad has changed the day of your pickup. The manager said they couldn't adjust the price for the pickup that I had to be charged the full amount.Business Response

On May 11, I placed a pickup order for the following day, order number **********. The order included 12 packs of Pepsi, totaling $44.94 at a unit price of $3.74. However, when I went to Meijer on May 12 for pickup, I was charged $65.71 for only 8 packs of Pepsi! Not only was I overcharged, but I also received fewer items than ordered. At no point was I informed that any items were out of stock or that the unit price had increased to $7.62.I contacted Meijer's customer service (Case# ********** and was told that the promotion ended at midnight on May 11, which allegedly affected my May 12 pickup. This is unacceptable, as Meijer did provid the discounted price when I placed the order. Meijer has a responsibility to ensure accurate billing and to notify customers of any price changes.I demand a refund of $35.79. The correct charge for the 8 packs I received, at the unit price of $3.74, should be $29.92. Instead, I was charged $65.71, resulting in a discrepancy of $35.79. This overcharge is entirely Meijer's fault, and I expect immediate rectification.Business Response

For the last 4 months I have noticed and reported to managers and corporate offices that Meijers special weekly deals 7 for 7 or 5 for 5, when paying for the items the special amount was not given. First time I complained to service desk, was helped by a nasty worker that told me they cant put all items in their registers. They are to busy. I did get my money back, *****. I complained to store director, was nice and apologized and sent me a 25 gift card. The next week it happened again. When I talked to the store director that time this director told me that corporate knows but doesnt do anything about it. She suggested i call corporate and to also put on ********* I put my complaint on ******** and was blocked. When I called corporate they took the information and said someone would contact me that has been 7 weeks and no one has contacted me. It happed 3 more times to me I messaged Meijers on messengers 3 times, was told first the would have the store director contact me, next time it happened and I messaged Meijers again and was told they would send to customer care, next time it happend I was told they would send to market director. I have not heard back from anyone from Meijers. Is this false advertising? Are random customers randomly picked out when checking out and sale prices not put in? How much money does Meijers make from unexpected customers. Not only having to watch that I get the sale I am owed, Meijers does not have the curtesy to even respond to me.Business Response

I made a meijer delivery order through the Meijer app. I had several coupons clipped and only a couple of them applied to my order. I made sure they were clipped and the promos were checked before completing my order. I get groceries delivered very frequently and this has never happened to me before. There were 6 coupons that did not clip: a $5.50 courtesy discount, a $2.50 courtesy discount, $20 off if you spend $75 or more in the baby **** (which I did), free delivery if you spend $50 in the baby **** (which I did), $6 off 1 box of Huggies huge pack diapers, and $2 off 1 box of Kind snack bars. This was a total of $43.95 that I should have received in discounts. I called customer support and she confirmed that a couple coupons did go through (ex: $0.75 off lean cuisine), and she did not understand why the others did not go through. She said she would note this error and gave me a $10.50 clipped coupon. This does not solve the problem. I depend on these savings to provide for my family and $43.95 is a large amount of money to lose out on. There isnt even a guarantee that the $10.50 coupon is going to work. However, feel as if I at least deserve a refund of $33.45 to to make up for the rest of the discounts I missed out on due to the Meijer app system error. I spend thousands of dollars at Meijer every year and I dont feel as if I am being taken care of as a loyal customer.Business Response

I placed an order for delivery and was quoted *****. Two items were out of stock and the order was delivered. I was charged ***** without any warning. I called and spoke to two employees. Both agreed it wasnt fair but could do nothing to fix the price. They took over half an hour of my time talking in circles. I went to Meijer's Pharmacy @ ********** to pick up my prescription for Lidocaine patches. When I got home, the patches were not my usual ones. I used three patches on my back. The patches didn't stick as they should and rolled up in less than 5 minutes. I took them back to the Pharmacy and was told then that they had changed manufacturers. They would not take them back. I have a ******************** light that was a gift and it came with Meijer batteries installed. One of the batteries recently leaked damaging the item and it does not work anymore. Printed on the battery is Meijer's warranty declaration. They have been notified and they keep wanting to know what store the batteries were purchased which has nothing to do with the warranty and after 4 attemps have made no efforts to resolve the situation. Print on the battery says that "Meijer will repair or replace" the damaged item. I would like to have my Radio either replaced or money paid to purchase another. I am rejecting this response because: This complaint has been filed directly with the company without any answer except they would have customer service get in touch which they did inquire about the problem but never followed up as promised. Another complaint has been filed afterwards through the BBB and the answer to the BBB was that customer service would contact me. This never happened either and was probably said just to satisfy BBB as BBB probably does not follow up on the companies promises. So I am filing a second complaint. A few months back my emergency **************** failed and as went to replace the batteries I found that a couple of the Meijer batteries leaked and failed, ruining the electircal contacts and board in the Radio. I have sent pictures of the radio and batteries to Meijer directly and through BBB without any results. The batteries are distributed by Meijer and have there guarantee imprinted on them along with a warranty to repair or replace any item damaged. It is pretty simple but for some reason they think I will go away. Not so. I want my Radio replaced or paid for due to their battery leaking. Pictures attached. How can this be denied?

On May 1, 2024, I spoke with the #*** *********** **) store manager, ***************************, about the strong cologne he wears. I expressed health concerns I had for myself, other customers, and the store staff. I did not feel that he took this issue seriously so I have sent a letter to the President and CEO; that letter is attached. I think the letter will provide sufficient detail for BBB to understand my concerns and how I have addressed them. My request is that **************** be directed to wear less cologne or none at all when he is at the store in an official capacity.Business Response
