    Kept telling pediatrix that they didnt bill our third insurance provider and they kept sending us final bills. When I called in they said it was pending insurance review. They sent it to collections even though they never billed the third insurance provider. This is a nightmare. Why would I say I have a third provider if I didnt? Not to mention we never authorized ***** G ** to be in the delivery room.

    My daughter was born on **********. Pediatrician attended my daughter and billed $760.00 with member rate of $346.93. My *** and insurance are configured to automatically use *** funds to pay member responsibility. My insurer (*****) along with *** provider paid Pediatrix $346.93 on 12/07/2023. Subsequently, I received bill from Pediatrix in the amount of $346.93. I haven't realized that it was already paid by *****/*** and I paid it on 1/28/2024 with my credit card.On 11/6/2024, I reached out Aetna and on recorded line Aetna reached Pediatrix to confirm overpayment. Pediatrix researched records and confirmed overpayment and promised to send refund in 4-6 weeks. On 12/4/2024, I reached Pediatrix on recorded line again and agent confirmed overpayment, but told that agent on 11/6/2024 didn't request refund properly and I need to wait another 4-6 weeks for refund.On 12/12/2024, I reached Pediatrix on recorded line again and agent confirmed overpayment. Still staying that refund is pending and it will take 4-6 weeks. As of today, 12/13/2024, 5.5 weeks already passed from original outreach to Pediatrix, yet refund is still not processed and in pending state.

    I just received a text that I have a past due balance from Pediatrix Medtronic Group at ***************, **************************. I have paid all the bills we have been sent for my sons birth that was on ******, When I click on the link it is for $160 for discharge. That is ridiculous that I am getting a bill now that my son is 9 months old from a company for what, they didnt do anything for us. When I ****** this company nothing comes up on how to talk to someone and I have not received an actual paper bill in the mail, NOTHING seems like a scam!

    I gave birth on **************. I paid for the delivery up front, and afterwards paid the hospital, the doctor, and the anesthesiologist. I just received a new surprise bill for $3,174.41 (it's now December) from Pediatrix Medical Group. I called the hospital and they said I don't owe the hospital anything, that the bill is not from them, they don't know who it is, and to call my doctor. I called my doctor and they said the same thing, that I don't owe them anything, the bill isn't from them, and they don't know who it is. I called my insurance, *****************, and they said they never received any claims from them and so they can't investigate, and that it's possible it's a scam. They advised me to just hold onto the bill and see if I get another one. But the bill I received says "Final notice"I don't want to call them in case they're a scam. But I don't want this to go to collections.

    Hi, I received a voicemail from Pediatrix regarding my BBB complaint, however it was my understanding that BBB would be the intermediary and that Pediatrix was supposed to give their reply to BBB and not directly to me. I dont feel comfortable talking to Pediatrix directly.

    On 11/20/24, I received a bill stating that I owe $610.00 to this company due to Pediatrix claiming they need additional information. This confused me because my son had TriWest coverage at birth and does have coverage and we submitted our insurance through the hospital directly. These hospital bils have all been paid through TriWest and to the hospital directly. This company provided no date of service or claim to reference from, no itemization of what services I am being charged for, no patient name. I called my insurance company to inquire about this and they say they never received a claim filed from this company. This bill was a surprise given the services during his birth were performed at an in network hospital with prior approval. At minimum, I hope this company intends to contact me with an itemized bill, proof a claim was filed with my insurance company since they said one was not filed, and proof this claim was denied. If this vital and reasonable information can not be provided, I would like proof this surprise bill has been dissolved due to non-transparency from this company. Thank you.

    I gave birth to a baby earlier this year. I have insurance and paid all outstanding claims as they come from my insurance provider many months ago. Out of nowhere I received a letter claiming we have a bill due with Pediatrics Obstetrix. The bill contains no information whatsoever (not even a date of service). I cannot seem to get into contact with anyone from the company. I have tried calling and have been promised a callback but never received one. I have never heard of this company and my insurance provider has no record of a claim being submitted by this institution. My insurance provider has confirmed with me many times that they have not denied any claims with regard to me or my son. This seems to be a scam to me and I would like this to be corrected ASAP.

    I gave birth ********. My hospital, OBGYN, & services were all in network. Pediatrix is attempting to bill me $2292 for a ** in the hospital that I did not see. The only thing I can think of is the hearing test which was conducted by a woman, not a man, which is the person who is attempting to bill us. **. ***** ******. We sent in our insurance, tricare select, and contacted our insurance company who stated they never received the bill from pediatrix. Now theyre telling us we have 15days to pay them when our daughter was born several months ago. Why are we just now getting the bill in November/December. Weve already paid all the other hospital bills because they came in a few weeks after her birth. This one did not. Ive tried calling pediatrix but Im either on hold for a substantial amount of time or they never call me back. The letter doesnt state what the charges cover.

    I have received a bill for ****** for the birth of my daughter on *******. It's been 8 months and I thought we had already received all the bills and necessary done the work of making sure everything was paid. I have tried to call this group and have spent hours on the phone only to get a robot response to leave a message... which I did then it hangs up each time. Then I try the "call me back" option. This has been on going for 3 weeks and no person has ever picked up the phone or called me back. They said it's an insurance issue but my insurance has no idea what this claim is. They even spelled my child's name wrong. This is beyond shady.

    On 10/16/24 I received a bill stating that I owe $250 to this company due to my insurance not providing coverage for my newborn daughter during our hospital stay. This confused me because she did and does have coverage and we submitted our insurance through the hospital directly and have already paid our bill with the hospital that gave her the services. This company provided no date of service or claim to reference from and no itemization of what services I am being charged for. I called my insurance company (************) on 12/03/24 to inquire about this and they say they never received a claim filed from this company. This seems fishy and unprofessional. In addition- in the state of ******, I am protected by the *** No surprises act. This bill was a surprise given the services during her birth were performed at an in network hospital and I was never informed if any one doctor from out of network would be caring for my daughter or I wouldve declined had I been told up front. At minimum, I hope this company intends to contact me with an itemized bill, proof a claim was filed with my insurance company since they said one was not filed, and proof this claim was denied. If this vital and reasonable information can not be provided, I would like proof this surprise bill has been dissolved due to non-transparency from this company. Thank you.

    I visited firelands regional medical center in *************. I received bills from them. Then I received a $6000 medical bill from pediatrix. After insurance it was $1100. I called to see if I could receive financial assistance as I have from firelands and they said no since I have insurance. Just because I have medical insurance doesnt mean I can afford this in addition to the other thousand dollar bills I have. Id like an explanation and reduction or financial assistance if possible. Not to mention the ** was not great and pretty much trapped us at hospital for no reason.
