  I went into Belks tonight to return about 5 shirts and 3 pair of Jenas in the mens section. The bag was pretty large. It also contained a pair of Air Force Ones that needed a larger size at ********. I took the sneakers out of the bag and took it ******** and made the exchange. I told my husband to return the items and then we would look for smaller sizes. Apparently because the bag was so big and I went in to get the sneakers out, an associate in the store said we were stealing. My husband had proof with his receipt that everything in the bag was on the receipt and I had a receipt for the sneakers that was exchanged. Anyway, we are in our 60's near 70.Some man kept running by us. Then we see a police officer. When we went tot he register to check out, the cashier told us that the manager said we were stealing. We had receipts for what we purchased and had nothing on our persons. I hold a Belks credit card. I am a government employee and retired once. My husband has retired twice. We assist the homeless and volunteer all of the time. I felt disrespected and outraged. I asked the cashier for the managers name. She said she did not know. I asked her to go and get that person and she said she did not know who it was. I got his name from another employee. I was told that he is not even a manager but an associate, I wonder why we were chosen. Is it because we are black, older, or just because this person wanted to starts something. With no proof you do not accuse someone of stealing. I would have sued Belks if the police had come over to me. I have been shopping at Belk at least twice a week for over ************************************************* my mouth. I do not think I will continue shopping at your store. I will use my money else where. By the way ****, please stop lying on innocent people. It is not a good look. +

  I purchased a vest which was described as a ********* wool vest. When I received it I found it was cotton and polyester. I was allowed to return it but still haven't received my refund. They also thanked me for making them aware of the product description error but they still continue to advertise the vest as being wool.

  An associate did a credit application, without my knowledge. She asked me did I have a credit card w/ Belk. I said no, and I did not want one. She asked for my id and phone number.This did not alarm me, since some stores do ask for your ID. I did not know she had done a credit ap on me until I checked my credit karma and discovered a hard inquiry from Belk! I was highly upset, and got the run around when I tried to clear it up with the store! BEWARE !!!!!

  i bought a shirt back in june of this year belk sent me a return label and i sent it back i paid with a belk gift card and requested a refund and got nothing as of today october 12!! i need help from the better business bureau to get my refund of $45 back!!
