If I could leave 0stars I would!! I closed a credit card to a 0 balance. Closed the credit card. After the fact they went and charged me a late fee for not paying a 0 balance. This is outrageous, this people steal from you even when you do the right thing. Stay away. Do not use Citi cards!! Find better. Find financial institutions with better service!!

This has been a very frustrating and upsetting experience. My card was stolen from my mailbox before I ever received or activated it. I did not authorize any of the withdrawals, yet Citi has not returned my funds. This was my very first time using Citi, and instead of feeling protected as a customer, I feel completely let down. I expected better security and support. At this point, I am seriously considering closing my account.

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!! Just open an account. Deposited money. Used my Debit card ONCE and they Flagged an alert to my card for suspicious use. They did not have my correct phone number on file to verify my account, had to wait 7 days for a letter to come in for a verification file code. Updated everything once I got the letter. They fixed my account. Updated my contact information with the representative. Says everything is not good to go. I wait a couple days and then I use the *** to withdraw money. It works, I try again later that day.. ONCE AGAIN I AM FLAGGED for suspicious use. I am now on the phone with them once again, I am on with them and transferred to about 20 different department to figure out what is going on with 2 hours on the phone with them. They keep saying there's an Alter on my account and keep sending me to different fraud departments. Once this is fixed I am going to the the bank and closing my account.

Terrible business practices. Not sure how/why they are affiliated with the ******* because they should be ashamed at how they treat customers. Trying to get a hold of a real person is like pulling teeth. They should have their managers or higher try to do simple things like...what if I don't have my card number??! There should be another way to easily verify my account, especially when I'm logged in online!

Recently I opened an account with "**********************". Being out of work for almost 2 years on compensation I received money from the insurance company carrier involved. Sizable amount. I had the account for maybe a little over going on 3 months. From the gate. Every transaction was flagged as fraud. In the beginning I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But as time went on it continued to occur. When opening the account I was titled as a priority customer. Never a priority at all. Each time I'd talk to the ***resentative they never had an answer about the fraud that was to had occurred on top of never having a legitimate explanation for the situation or why my card wouldn't work. So they would tell me a ***resentative would call me and they would put the request for the situation to be handled in a timely manner which never happened. So I started taking my money out of their establishment. A few weeks ago I went to log into my account and it said my account was "BLOCKED". I was shocked. Oh I forgot to mention I live in ** where they don't even have a Citibank accessible in my area. So honestly it was an inconvenience on so many levels. So I had to drive all the way back to ** to speak to a ***resentative. When I would speak to **** on the phone they either didn't know anything, couldn't give me adequate information or conveniently the call would drop. Yea ok. When I spoke to a *** I person they advised me that they said they were closing my account with no reason at all and with my money still in the account. It's been over 5 weeks going on 6 not one ***resentative from the fraud has contacted me yet nor have I been contacted by email nor mail. Not sure what type of business practices "CITI" is up to but they're definitely not conducting business professionally. Funny is that they can't say the funds were fraudulent because the company that issued the original check was a "CITI" customer and they **************************************************** I recorded everything.

If I could give a negative 1, they earned it. Their customer service is deplorable, never apply for a credit card. I guess your suppose to call them ahead of your cash withdrawals and purchases because every transaction is fraud to them. No qualified staff can resolve any issues, your waiting for a letter with a reference number which can take up to 10 days. Now I'm waiting for the second letter because incompetent employees another 10 days. This company is garbage, I regret not checking BBB, & hopefully a class action lawsuit to join.

I am unable to log into my account. I know my ID is correct because I have confirmed it with customer service. I used my ID and changed my password. My new password was accepted. However, when I attempted to use the new password, a warning always appeared, and I was unable to proceed. I spent one hour solving this issue with the *** But I just gave up; she didn't know why I couldn't use the new password. So I told her to make sure to send me the paper statement. But she didn't do it for me (or she didn't have the authority to do it), though she said she did. I had a latepayment charge fee becuase I have never received the statement....I called the ** again. However, they don't believe me that I still have the same issue. I am unable to log in to my account. I don't want to waste time again...I will close the account soon because I am unable to access my online account.

Their practices caused me to lose a great deal on a purchase!I am moving into a new house so I have had a lot of purchases lately. Despite identifying the charges as legitimate through the Citibank app they still denied an online purchase. Even though I got the issue resolved within 10 minutes, the vendor had increased the price of the item by $368 so suddenly my purchase price of $483 had increased to $851! The vendor refused to honor the price so I lost out on the item. I think Citibank should pay me $368! I also have had issues with Citibank closing accounts that I dont use often enough, which can negatively impact credit scores. I am done with Citibank!

I was informed by Citi that my latest payment may have been duplicated. I contacted Citi customer service and spent 20 minutes on the phone with a inefficient csr. After providing my bank account information and being placed on hold for a total 15 minutes I was told the payment could not be reversed ***************** and what a way to get money from a customer.Use caution while dealing with the csr.
