I accidentally missed a payment one month on my auto loan. When I realized my mistake the very next month, I made a double payment to be current. Less than 4 weeks later, I noticed a huge dip in my credit scores. They reported this the the credit agencies without ever emailing or calling me to report the missed payment. I feel this is horrible customer service.Initial Complaint

I refinanced my Vehicle through American Heritage Credit Union about 3 months ago. I provided all information asked of me including proof of insurance. After I signed the loan they kept asking for proof of coverage, which included AHCU being the lien holder. About a month ago they added about $8800 to my loan for not having insurance. I have sent them proof 4 times now and when I call I get the run around. Nobody will return calls or emails. Unfortunately now I'm forced to find legal representation to clear this matter up. This company is definitely trying to scam me. Buyer beware if thinking of doing business with this company.Initial Complaint

On 3/27/2023, 6/29/2023, and 7/21/2023, my husband and I received mail from American Heritage Credit Union (AHCU) addressed to "***********************." On each of the aforementioned dates, I emailed AHCU to remove that name and address from AHCU's marketing company's advertising mailing list because no one by that name lives at our address, nor do we wish to receive advertising mail from AHCU.In spite of these 3 communications, **** did not comply with my request and today, 9/5/2023, we received more mail from them addressed to "***********************."Initial Complaint

I recently checked my credit report and found some inaccuracies. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a federal law that promotes the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of information in the files of consumer reporting agencies (CRAs). CRAs are companies that collect and maintain consumer information, which is then used to produce consumer reports.Initial Complaint

On June 2022, I purchased a car through *************** and started financing through American Heritage Credit Union. From the beginning there was no way to see an account for this loan other than a link to make payments through. American credit union sent me a letter in August telling me that I had to pay $592 more than what my loan was for due to not having the insurance coverage that they required. I attempted getting more information from them and it was extremely difficult, the only thing they said was that they provided me the coverage necessary for the three weeks. I explained that I never agreed to that and I thought $592 was significant amount for three weeks worth of coverage when I did have car insurance. The payments were spread out and added to my monthly payments. There was an extra $51.14 added to my monthly payments, which changed from $469.83 to $520.97. I paid this 8 times which would mean that I paid $409.12 from the $592 they were charging for insurance coverage which by the way I never even saw a copy of the policy coverage. I was involved in a car accident in March and my car was a total loss. My car insurance issued a payment of $23,208.04 which left a remainder of $6,126.10. GAP inside claim was filed and approved for $5,247.12, they excluded $592 that were still being charged as insurance coverage. I have tried speaking with American Heritage representatives since March because they have been reporting miss payments to my account causing damage to my Credit History. After telling them that I would be contacting the BBB because of their lack of communication and documentation they gave me access to a customer account so that I could see my past history payments. This has caused me a great deal of stress, I do not believe that their charges are valid. I would like help in this matter because this company has taken a lot of money from me and damaged my credit history as well. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.Initial Complaint

This company is furnishing inaccurate information to the consumer credit bureaus (**********, *******, ********, etc.) I’ve contacted this company several times about this alleged account. Several of their representatives have informed me that no such account exists. I’ve asked them to remove this account. They have told me through mail that they will not remove it and that the account is accurate. Which I’ve shown them proof that it is not. I’ve asked them to mail me verification of this account belonging to me. They have not mailed me such proof, not even an account statement.
