BBB took a complaint over the phone. Below is the voice to text voicemail description

Yes, my case number is ********** and that's my complaint ID number and I'm calling to complain because this company has taken money from two accounts that one does not belong to me, and they refused to stop. And I've sent them all the information that the order was canceled. And I don't have but one order with them, one thing with them. And they keep taking money out of my account and my daughter's account. And I've sent them copies of where the order was canceled. And I've sent them, I know it's terrible, but I even recorded them because they keep telling me they're going to fix this and they've been saying it and saying it. And they've not fixed anything and they keep taking money out of two different accounts, my daughter's account and my account. And I want my money back. They're stealing from me. But I guess I became obsessed with it, too. Hello? Yeah. I'm pretty much an expert on changes in the science of society, to bring about a role with all. And originally, there wasn't going to be about each, but there was going to be about a change. But all ****** could say is he thought that Peaches was special. Thank you very much. What could have been called ***** and the Giant Chick? I found a line better than that. Excuse me. Wondering if my wife would want to name our son *****.

I used them to purchase 2 cell phones. Was told the payment was $50.03 a month. That it was due the 21st of the month. Two weeks later they tried to take an unauthorized payment from my account. I called immediately in which they said that it was going to be $100.06 a month. They also told us that the price was $1230 when I only agree to $550. Then switched the payment date to match my paychecks since I now had to pay $100+ a month not agreed upon. They stated the date was changed and it was the 27th of the month, they gave now tried to take money as of 25th unauthorized again. In calling them they are charging extra fees and refusing to accept the agreement of our terms when I signed up. This is bait and switch.

I was approved for leasing on a guitar through guitar center. Signed the lease, they charged my card and it wouldn’t go through. Went out of my way to make sure the funds were available for the initial payment. These people put me through hours of phone calls and tons of customer service agents over “verification”. Wanting everything from my social security number, phone number, email, address, drivers license number, any number I have that’s been tied to my existence. For them to tell me they still need more verification. They have my debit card and bank account information. Now They are not charging my card and they are not pushing the order through over this “verification” issue. I feel scammed. Like they have all my financial information now, and I have received nothing, not a word to why they can’t process my order.

A California number called me excessively on Feb 7, 2025. After the 4th call, I dialed back to see if it was spam/needing to be blocked. A representative named ***** answered the phone- it was already apparent that she had an attitude. She informs me she's with Progressive Leasing. At her request, I provided my name and she was able to reference 2 leases I had open, needing payment, with Progressive. I informed this rep that I want to reconcile this debt ASAP, but that I do not want to receive excessive phone calls. ***** then proceeds to offer putting me on a do not call list WITH ZERO INFORMATION of what happens when this is done. She then condescendingly informs me that I'll no longer receive calls but that BECAUSE I'm on their do not call list now (which I was never asked to confirm, was never provided a disclosure for, etc) that Progressive would send "agents" to my home and that I needed to "return the leased items"..... At this point, I'm legitimately confused and mad because I feel threatened/confused considering the fact that I'm telling her I want to set up a payment plan. She reiterates that people will be sent to my home so I then asked her "so you guys are told to not call me by phone so you're going to harass me at my home?". This is where it takes a turn. ***** says "it's a legal thing now" and that she could not "undo" me being put on a do not call list without a disclosure. I asked for her to do so and she informs me that I'd have to "call corporate" to undo it. I ask her for corporate's number and she responds with "it's this number". I point out that if it's the line we're on then she should be able to fix it. I ended up hanging up while on hold and re-dialed to get another agent. The kind representative I spoke to after explained that what ***** did was not protocol and was incorrect but I can't help but feel so grossed out at this representative's antagonistic behavior on the phone. I can only hope this is not reflective of Progressive.

I used progressive leasing to Purchase a guitar and was misinformed on the 90 days same as cash. I talked to a sales *** and let them know the situation and they agreed to a payoff amount of $600. I gave them my new account number and they told me theyd bill the 600 on the first of the following month. I dont know what happened but the 600 was not billed but I was billed 230/month after that. I contacted my bank and they originally reversed the payment but said they couldnt stop the payment so I cancelled the dispute. Instead of $600 I have now given progressive leasing $691.35 on a debit card I did not authorize for payments. On top of me paying them I can getting texts and emails from them saying I didnt make my payments and theyre a debt collector even though they are taking my money. I am asking they mark my account as paid off for the merchandise and refund me the $91.35 and we go our separate ways and they stop the texting and emails they never respond to.

I purchased a mattress through progressive from mattress firm. Progressive advertises a free adjustable base on progressives website. (I have screenshots). The fine print of that “3” does not say anything about not being able to return the item. Furthermore, progressives lease says you can return the items at any time and cancel your lease. I returned my mattress on Dec 13, 2024 after calling and talking to progressive on Dec 11 for 41 minutes. I called to cancel the lease, and they said no return it so we can refund your payments. I told them mattress firm will not give progressive or me money back because they gave me a free gift with purchase, and have excluded it from returns, and it will be taken from my refund. So I will still owe $299 to progressive. Progressive told me I was wrong. If I return the mattress I will get a refund. Check the phone records. I asked to return the base. No one would take it. They took my payments off autopay and said it would be awhile for the refund to be approved. I returned the mattress two days later on Dec 13, 2024. If leases are paid within 90 days with progressive, there’s no interest. My cut off was 1/5/2025. I had already paid little over $300. I called several times to inquire about the return and was told I would get a refund. In mid January, I reached out again. An agent said my loan was still open for some reason and to give them 10 days for a case. He also confirmed I would get a refund. This last Friday, I called and was told they will not be giving me a refund as said. She said because I paid about $320 and owed about that for $299 base plus tax- the case was closed lease canceled. An hour after that call, I received an email stating that I owe progressive hundreds because I failed to pay or cancel my lease within 90 days (1/5/25). Even though progressive did not update me until after the 90 day line. This needs corrected, and progressive should be aware of mattress firm’s policy if affiliated. I also told them.
