********************************* wouldn't transfer my call to his manager. Instead of transferring he tried creating a "ticket" and attempted to verify my information that I never shared with Ringcentral in the first place.I would like to speak to Christan's manager so that I can resolve our issue. I talked to him on 7/15/2022 at around 2:57PM.

We always attempt to create a case for tracking of issues, so we apologize for this practice but this is how we log issues. We apologize for the agent not escalating the matter immediately. We have worked with the customer at this time and resolved the inquiry but it should have gone smoother.

Ring Central, a telecommunications company with which we recently did business, auto-renewed my contract with them last year, locking me into a 2 year contract at $130 a month, without first notifying me of the auto-renewal. They never attempted to contact me and will not cancel my current contract extension, which is in place through August of next year. In addition to trapping me in an unwanted contract, they recently changed their terms and are now charging me MORE than the original amount. As of last month, Ring Central no longer includes "unlimited texts" in my calling plan, and now limits the number of texts I receive to 100 (per line). Due to this change of contractual terms, I now have to pay more money, out of pocket, each month for the texts I send/receive. Many of these texts are simply verifications from companies such as ******* yet each verification code counts towards my new monthly text limit. This was an unwanted change in my contract, I had no heads up or chance to agree to the terms, and now it is costing me money. This is a one-sided contract in which I have no power, and they can change the terms to their benefit on a whim.I have, on multiple occasions, sought resolution with Ring Central directly, asking that they cancel my contract and stop charging me for both the original monthly amount, as well as the newly added texting fees. They state I would have to "buy out" my remaining contract (at least 12 months remain) at $130 for each month.PLEASE help me get out of this contract with Ring Central, to cancel all association between myself and that company, and.. if possible.. provide a refund for the months of service I never agreed to [1+ year(s)]. Thank you for your consideration, and please contact me for more information. Email: *********************** Phone: **************

The account has been cancelled. We have not had much luck speaking to the customer but hoping they see it here.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The BBB was instrumental in getting this company to resort to customer service, and in the end I am happy with the result. I was finally able to have my contract cancelled and although I did not receive any financial restitution (which would have been preferred), I am happy just to be out of the contract and done with Ring Central. Thanks again, BBB.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

They keep trying to access my bank account for a subscription charge that I have not authorized. They use Amazon and luckily they have an old debit card number and my bank keeps stopping the charge. I contacted ring they wanted me to verify account through Amazon I refused.I contacted Amazon and they said that I do not have ring subscription but they do sale ring subscription and they would investigate. My old debit card was on Amazon and I have no idea how they got the card number except through Amazon.

RingCentral makes it impossible to cancel, and is also attached to a phishing scam in which perpetrators pose as a fake RingCentral email to extract personal information for fraudulent purposes. Even though the phishing scam is likely no fault of their own, it is a testament to how easy of a target their infrastructure is. Their app must be avoided at all costs. The only way to cancel your account is to go through your credit card company, but this is still preferable to having your identity stolen.

When we contacted the customer, he had already had the account cancelled. We apologize it took time to get through to our support staff to cancel the account. Phishing scams do happen, but we are not a part of them in any way.

I cancelled this account in April or May 2022 because of nonuse. Yet the company continues going into my account for $32.46. Just return the money and cancel account as requested. The account doesn't even have my correct personal information. I never used the service. The email address: support.ringcentral.com is invalid and no one answers the phone for a long period of time.

We sent Ring Central a letter that we decided to go with another service provider a month in advance. We requested a port transfer they transferred all our numbers but our main company number ************. They also keep billing us and we can't cancel until our main number is transferred. Our account manager isn't responding or answering his phone and we continue to be charged. We transferred our service on June 10th 2022.

The customer still needed to port out phone numbers. Due to FCC rules, accounts must be in service in order to port phone numbers. The carrier paperwork submitted to us contained inaccurate data which needed to be corrected. Once corrected, the port was allowed per FCC rules. We then helped with cancelling after the phone numbers ported out. We believe this issue is resolved at this time.

I subscribed for ************ with RingCentral. I set up the app and ported my business number to their service. I had trouble hearing the ring so I purchased a OB i 302 Adapter to route my calls to my analog phone. They were unable to adequately tech support my issues related to setting up the OBi302 adapter I bought from RingCentral. They made me wait on hold for VERY long interims. Their customer service staff was not versed in the literature they put on their own website. I was researching in on their support page as I waited on hold and was able to determine that the device was not functioning properly. I was told by OBiTalk (the company that made the device) that the device was refurbished. It was online in May last. They claimed they sold me a defective device. Based on this information I cancelled the service and asked to return the defective device. They put me on hold for 45 minutes as they tried to disconnect and provide a return label. Then they charged me $25 to create a return label. Outrageous. The adapter costs around $100. This is their way of retribution for leaving their service. I believe I should be refunded $25 and the cost of the defective adapter. I'm happy to mail it back but it should not cost me $25. No other businesses charge this much to send back defective devices.

We have been trying to port phone numbers away from RingCentral and over to another carrier. We have been actively trying to do this for five months. We have sent in their requisite form over 15 times to make this happen, and each time it is denied for different reasons. I have spent nearly 20 hours on the phone, on hold and in online chat with them asking how specifically they need the form filled out to avoid continued denials, and each time it is still denied without any additional reasoning. Of the four phone numbers we had with them, we have gotten all but one final number transferred out from them, however the other lines we got rid of they back-filled with other phone numbers to ensure they keep charging our account the same amount. When we call, they purposefully transfer us around several times, each time requiring us to hold for extended periods and it's become very obvious that this is part of a strategy to prevent consumers from ultimately being able to cancel service. After the last half-dozen times that we strictly followed the directives of RingCentral representatives to fill out their forms in an acceptable manner and still get denied, we've come to the conclusion that there is nothing we can say or do that will result in RingCentral actually releasing the last remaining phone number to our new provider. If it wasn't a phone number tied to our business, I would have long since just told them to pound sand and abandoned that phone number. In summary, this has been the most shockingly transparent, unwavering effort to prevent a termination of services that I've ever heard about: they aren't even disguising their strategy at this point. We want our final phone number transferred to our new provider as we've asked over 15 times, and then we want to terminate our account with RingCentral. (One email chain - one of many - included as attachment to show I'm not exaggerating the extent of this problem)

In regards to the Business Account: Banks ********************* email: ************************ I reached out to RingCentral customer service due to the fact that my service was cancelled months ago due to non-payment, and I was never given instructions on how to return the desk phone that I was renting. The reason why the **** was not payed was because I was having medical issues at the time & was unable to work. I explained this to the agent but I was told that there was nothing they could do & that I would be charged an ETF fee since I was in a contract. I was also told that someone would get back to me regarding this issue weeks ago, but I never heard back. I don't know what to do from here. I still have the desk ********* am ready to return it. I just want to avoid any balance that I may owe to RingCentral going to collections.

My organization contracted services and was in agreement with the defined, written terms. Over time, the fees increased and we were advised each license was an automatic 24 month commitment. I asked the representatives to identify the clause in the service agreement and I was hung up on twice. The terms do not exist. Our organization contracted for 24 months for paid 3 times the amount listed in the contract. We have no issue paying for the committed lines but placing a ********************************************************************** agreement. Business fluctuates and special projects occur. We would have never committed to such terms knowing we hire temporary contractors and the amount of turnover involved in our operation.

We have a call scheduled at the customers request today, so hopefully more will be completed today. Ongoing issue we are working with the customer to resolve and they are in the process of porting out phone numbers which does take time. Not resolved at this time, simply replying due to BBB stating overdue.
