Potpourri Group, *** also masquerades as Favorites, Whatever Works and probably others. I placed orders with Favorites and Whatever Works by mail at the same time and sent my checks to them. I received my Favorites order form back, along with my uncashed check and a small note from Certify saying, "We're really sorry, but we are unable to proceed with your transaction. Our decision was based in whole or in part on information obtain from *************************** services to merchants and Businesses nationwide . . . .you have the right to obtain a free copy of your information held in Certegy's file. . . . I contacted them on line and by phone and they said they would mail me a copy of my Certegy's file. I finally received it and it showed the two checks I sent and their amounts to Potpourri Group, Inc. One was authorized the other Not Authorized-reason below: "04: This transaction received a decline recommendation from Certify because it did not meet the acceptance guidelines, which can vary by ************************************** Factors may include a combination of: the check number, dollar amount, check-writing history, or tore transaction details." So in other words, I still do not know the reason my 2nd check was declined. So rather than just running the check through my bank, they chose to hold it hostage for weeks, and they still did not give me a reason. I did go ahead and place my order by phone after the check was declined, before I got the above Certify written response. The fabric of the tops I ordered were all cheap and not nearly as attractive as they appeared in the catalog. Everything I received was of less quality than I expected. I DO NOT recommend ordering from any of these companies, and have requested them not to send me anymore catalogs, I suggest you do the same!!

My 92 year old mother purchased a small purse from Country Store. She paid outrageous shipped and had to wait months for the purse. Then they started charging her credit card monthly for $18 for a rewards program. When I saw what was happening, I called and got the charges stopped, but they would not refund the money taken. Basically they stole about $150 from an elder woman who could easily be taken advantage of. using unethical business practices. If you get a Country Store Catalog, throw it in the trash without even opening it.

I havent ordered from Potpourri in 40+ years & dont want to, I dont know how I got their catalog in the mail - back then it took an inordinate amount of time/energy to get someone to take me off the mailing list! Now I tried several search listings as ************************ contact and EVERY ONE was a BROKEN LINK!This is a CONCERTED EFFORT to avoid people who dont want to be DROWNED by their inane incessant junky mailings!

My mother gave me a copy of their magazine. I was happy flipping through it until I saw a section called *********** showing "clitoral arousers" and other products. I was completely taken aback, there wasn't any warning on the outside and inside covers. They should have some warning where it can be seen.

I ordered a sweatshirt from the Country Store Catalog, which is one of their businesses. I had to return it and the process was easy - they give you a prepaid address label and it seems like it will be free because they dont mention cost anywhere. It turns out they charge $11.95 for each return! Their lack of transparency is a huge red flag. Their clothes are pretty but the high cost for returns and the fact that you only find out about it later means I wont be ordering much anymore.

Young Explorers will trick you into a $20/mo discount plan with no warning other than some very fine print. Until you catch it on your next month credit card statement you will continue to be charged with no email notification.

Beware ordering from Pyramid Collection. Return/Exchanges are not processed correctly. Item clearly marked for exchange not processed only to be charged addl shipping to place your order again. Its a scam to get more shipping which is ridiculously high. Quality and sizing has gone downhill over the years; reconsider and choose a more honest company.

For Christmas my Nana gave me pajamas from this company. On the order slip it said you could exchange for the correct size for $***** which I thought was an absolute joke but decided Id pay the *****. Instead my card was charged $43.70. I called them which was the number on the charge on my card and they told me that they never charged me and that they were refunding my Nana $33 dollars and they were not going to send me the correct size. This company screwed me not only did I lose my gift but they charged me for something Im not getting and never should have been charged. The lady I spoke with rude and could give a c*** She refused to transfer me to a supervisor. After reading the reviews Ill have to cancel my card so they dont try to charge me for more c*** that I wont ever get. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM

I ordered a gift for my granddaughter from a company belonging to the Potpourri Group called Young Explorers on Dec 2, 2024 with the promise of getting a 10% rebate and free shipping. I completed the requested paperwork and have not received the rebate. I contacted customer service on 1/10/2025 and again on 1/17/2025 and have not have the courtesy of a response. I highly recommend against doing business with this company.

I placed an order with Young Explorers toy catalog for Christmas toys. I paid with a pre-paid gift card. It was accepted and I received an email confirmation. The following day, I received an email that there was a problem and my order was on hold. I called them and they informed me that the items were on back-order anyway. I canceled the order and the funds have not been refunded to me. They have been the worst in contacting. I have been hung up on twice. There is no one that can ever speak to me without putting me on hold and then disconnecting or hanging up. This is fraud! Ridiculous and this is a scam! Hopefully others don't get robbed of their funds.
