      Although I have had countless problems with Main Street renewal overall. I have had some good maintenance men. Recently **** ****** came to our house to fix our front door. He was great! Very quick, knowledgeable and friendly! I hope we get him again in the future!

      I lived in one of these homes for going on 3 years. All maintenance requests are made online and I typically receive a reply in about a week. For immediate needs I have received repairs & such within a day to three days. Our home is located in a great school district & has enough space for us. I remember our move in date was a little hectic trying to figure out the electric door lock but once we figured it out it was easy.

      We have failed to have working AC or oven to cook for our family of 6 ever since we moved in (little over 2 months). They sent out multiple representatives from Main Street and have failed to fix the ongoing AC issue. The oven issue was totally fixed when they hired a third party contractor. He stated the person Main Street had work on this did an unsafe job. In regards to the *** The house gets up to 80+ degrees and now has lead to the condenser in the attic leaking water into my daughters room below. The roof, walls and carpet are soaked now and smells like mildew. I have a long list of contact attempts via phone, email and their portal in regards to this high risk issue. All complaints and conversations were on a recorded line for tracking purposes.

      I rented a home for 2.5 years and did not have a great experience. The home was not cleaned well when I moved in. I had repairs that were over a year old and still not repaired when I moved out, plus roof damage from a hurricane that was still not repaired. Despite my inconvenience and self-incurred costs due to the incomplete repairs, I only received a fraction of my security deposit back, with no willingness to discuss. Plus, every call goes to a call center with a script that they cannot break from. It is impossible to talk to a person with any knowledge or power to do anything.

      This company will steal your security deposit. If I could give 0 star I would. Do not rent here no matter what you do. Moved into a Main Street Renewal property that had an overwhelming smell of cat urine but was told that they'd take care of it. They didn't. We fought with them to fix it. They did one carpet cleaning that did not remedy the issue. We were never even able to use one of the rooms due to this. The house was never cleaned prior to move in. By the time we moved out we had made the house cleaner, smell better and cleaned up the yard. They charged us for carpet cleaning, $300 for paint and a lot of other expenses. I disputed the security deposit (which they sent to us in a way that made it impossible to cash) and it has started a months long saga in which no one will respond to me. Allegedly their security deposit team doesn't have a phone number but has a phone that can only make outbound calls and their own teams can't even call their security deposit team, you know, the team handling thousands of dollars every day (sounds totally true, right?). They closed my dispute and said it was resolved and said I could respond to questions through the portal, but they closed it so I couldn't even respond. Now they won't respond to emails and their phone system sends me in loops and I'm told the same thing over and over (that the security deposit team can't talk to me and that it will "be resolved"). This company is actively violating state statute around security deposits and if you look at reviews, they do it in other states too. After making enough noise they decided to give me an additional $70 and finally sent more info on what they claimed was dirty. Claimed they needed pro cleaners when we cleaned it better than when we moved in and the pictures they sent literally show a clean house (also I doubt they hired cleaners as they said they'd do that before we moved in and they never did).

      The portal can be a little frustrating and there are some bugs that could be fixed. I was having issues paying my rent and kept getting error messages so my rent ended up being late and I got a fee on my account. I called customer support and was able to get in touch with a nice lady who walked me through the process to troubleshoot my online issue, helping me get my payment through and she was able to go above and helped me get the late fee waived. Everytime I have reached out to customer service the people have been so nice and supportive with any issues. This will be the third year of renewing our lease with them.

      So far they been 5 star, got an issue with my oven technician came turned out it does not work anymore, lets how fast they replace it. Ill be back with an update for sure

      By far, the worst property management company Ive ever dealt with. I recent got my ac fixed after nearly two months of back and forth. Its impossible to get anyone on the phone. Steer clear of this horrible company!

      On June 26, 2025, I contacted MainStreet Renewal by phone to request termination of a lease agreement I had signed, which was scheduled to begin on June 28, 2025. During that call, I was told by a representative that I could be released from the lease and that the unit would be re-listed for rent.Based on that assurance, I expected written confirmation or follow-up communication. However, I received no response. When I followed up, I spoke with a representative named *******, who stated that the lease would not be terminateddirectly contradicting the original information I was given.This conflicting and unclear communication is unacceptable. I contacted MainStreet Renewal in good faith prior to the lease start date, and was told the lease could be released. Their failure to follow through or provide clear documentation puts me in an unfair financial and legal position.Desired Outcome:I am requesting:Written confirmation that the lease has been terminatedRemoval of any financial responsibility for the leaseRefund of any payments made toward the lease (if applicable)I also request that MainStreet Renewal improve its internal communication and client handling procedures to avoid misleading tenants in the future.
