      Main Street Renewal (MSR) is not the worst rental company in the ******* area, but by no means are they good. The houses are not cleaned before you move in and pests are rampant. They hired a company that powdered the carpet and considered it cleaned. We moved in to find a cockroach infestation, fleas in the carpets, and squirrels living in the attic, AC vents, and walls. This past week, one of those squirrel died in an unreachable AC vent. As you can imagine, the house started smelling terrible almost immediately. We reached out to *** who took days to respond. After having to fight them to send someone out, its now been over 10 days of rot and decay throughout the house. Theyve sent 3 different companies to take pictures and do quotes, rather than actually doing anything about this issue. Only after we called the Department of Health and the Board of Renters about them, did we get any semblance of assistance. We have to wear respirators in the house to avoid airborne illnesses caused by this. After they learned this, and without visiting us, they deemed our house was safe to live in and they would not relocate us temporarily. Our lease expires in a month, and they thought good compensation for this debacle was to give us a $250 rent credit for one month, if we also renewed our lease. They offered this to us and still havent removed the actively decaying corpse from our ventilation system. Moral of the story here is that MSR does not assist unless you fight them tooth and nail. Their properties are dirty, infested, and overpriced. All they care about is that you renew your lease.

      Im not understanding why MainStreet can NEVER do the job that you put a request to do! I have request to get my broken mailbox replace because Im not receiving my mail and as of today still with a broken mailbox and now I have requested on several times to replace my keypad because its not working properly and as of today nothing! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO RENT FROM! I will NEVER sign another lease with MainStreet once my lease is up!

      Honestly this company deserves no stars at all. I should have looked them up before we rented from them. We only stayed in the house on ***** Blackhawk trail for two years. Horrible experience of my life. The fence is in very poor condition and all they do is bandaide the fence because its too expensive to replace it. Same with the deck. The deck that multiple deck companies have stated it needs to be replaced because the wood is rotted. Mainstreet doesnt care if youre pregnant and have an ACL tear, they just want to go cheap. Also I happened to notice my utility bill sent me two different ones within three days. I called to find out Mainstreet out of no where called the company and told them we were moving out and to cancel our account and switch over to them. This happened September 2024 and I had my son in October 2024. They not only almost cost us no heat but also cost us our deposit of $365 that we would get towards our final bill when we would have actually moved. Then they decided oh we are going to charge you $168 too. This was there mistake. Our lease wasnt even up until May2025. All they could say is we want to help you but they wouldnt help us. They asked for a bill to prove they messed up which we sent them everything we had. The invoice they wanted was the one they were billed and then told us if we cant provide it then we cant get our money. Umm of course we wouldnt have it because it was sent to them.The company is a piece of c*** company. All they do is take money from their tenants and can careless about their tenants. Their homes actually arent as clean as they say and are not at all newly renovated, unless that means stuck in the 90s. I am pretty sure they hire c*** third party companies to clean the houses and those companies just pretend to clean to make free money. The fence was never properly fixed and the deck is still rotting away. So I hope who ever does rent that house, that they dont fall through and get injured. Don't do it

      Main Street Renewal has hands down been my favorite rental company to work with!! We rented with them initially for 2 years, got a smaller apartment then came back to Main Street a year later because theyre unmatched. Keep up the good work Main Street!!! Our AC went out on a Friday, they had a company come by Saturday so we could beat the heat, and so my family could have a good Mothers Day. Always fair, always a pleasure, move in/out has been easy peasy the whole way through. Paying rent and using their portal/reporting issues is easy too.

      I've been with mainstreet renewal since 2023 and I have 0 complaints. The VERY FEW requests I've had to put in have been fixed very timely. The maintenance men were very polite and professional. Mainstreet was quick to respond to all of my questions/ concerns when first renting. Would love to remain here until I'm able to purchase my own home.

      I've been a resident since 2022, and whenever there's something that needs repairs. I submit, and within the next day, an appointment is scheduled. The maintenance guys are the best. I have a few favorites..

      Horrible to work with. We had non-stop problems while renting from them. We were charged for renters insurance (and noncompliance) after submitting documentation of our own renters insurance. The house was infested with critters and insects at move-in and nearly nothing was done to fix this, and in general the house was filthy at move-in. They would not accept payments from our bank and kept telling us that they were working on it even though it never got fixed, which forced us to open a new bank account just to pay rent. It was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone and when you finally did, they would not answer your question or help you with your issue.The only good part of the company is the maintenance personnel, specifically ****. He has always been very helpful and responsive.

      Ive been with ******** Renewal since the home I owned burned down in 2022. When Ive had an issue that needed attention they are typically pretty fast. Only once has there been o resolution. We had a gutter damaged in a hurricane and they never replied so my husband just did what he could to fix it. Besides that- theyve been responsive to stuff like the **** needing repairs and a water leak that has nothing to do with the house or its condition. The house is a nice size. I do wish there was ability to paint and stuff. The greige everywhere is beyond boring. And I dont enjoy paying rent on a home I wont eventually own but after the fire I didnt have many options. So I was glad to find a very nice home in a great neighborhood and reasonable rent. Rent here is wildly high and for the size of the home MSR rates are quite reasonable. I have no complaints and intend to stay as long as I need to continue renting before I buy again.
