      Stay Away from Mainstreet Renewal Terrible Experience from Move-In to Move-Out If I could give zero stars, I would. Mainstreet Renewal has been nothing but a nightmare from the very beginning. Upon move-in, the home was absolutely not in a livable or move-in ready condition. Heres just a short list of what we walked into: The entire house was dirty not just dusty, but truly unsanitary. There were existing holes in the walls. The yard was completely overgrown and had clearly been neglected. Utilities were non-functional. We had no running A/C, gas, or water a huge issue when moving in with a young child. There was visible mold in the toilets. One bedroom had no smoke detector at all, and another had one dangling from the ceiling. This is not only unsafe, its a violation of Texas Property Code ****** ******, which mandates functioning smoke detectors.Despite this, we stayed and made the place more livable. Fast forward to move-out: we repaired all existing holes, painted using the exact color code provided by their own technician, and cleaned every inch of that house. Yet, theyre trying to charge us for painting and cleaning, even though the condition when we left was significantly better than when we arrived.We even submitted photo evidence showing the before and after condition of the home. At first, someone responded to my disputethen silence. No one answers the phone or responds to emails, not even for emergencies. If your A/C goes out in the middle of a Texas summer with a baby in the house, good luck. They do not prioritize maintenance, even in dangerous conditions.Mainstreet Renewal seems like a scam operationhanding out homes in unacceptable condition and then attempting to blame tenants for their own negligence. This leasing company is a joke. Rent elsewhere if you want to avoid being ignored, overcharged, and disrespected.

      Do not rent from this company! I dont even know how they are allowed to continue to buy houses! Unfortunately, Ive been stuck renting from Main Street for the past three years each house that I have moved into from them has progressively got worse and worse upon moving in. They do not clean these houses in between tenants, but they charge you cleaning fees. Getting a hold of anybody at this company is extremely hard. Ive been reaching out for almost 2 weeks about correcting my portal because they keep sending me message saying rent is due but when I log into the portal, its saying I have a zero balance due. They promise refunds and or reimbursement and then never follow through. They will allow you to move into cockroach and termite infested homes. I once had a slab leak and it took them a whole month to come out and make the repair. A whole month I was turning on and off my water at a shut off valve when needing to use water (with a newborn in the home). Not to mention a $1500 water bill that followed after that because Main Street neglected making this repairs. The water company removed less than half of that cost and main Street has done nothing to assist. Main Street has actually cost me money for repairs that should have been addressed the week the work order was submitted. My newborns room flooded twice because of this. When the hurricane came water entered the home we put in a work order to have somebody come out to check the floors. They came out a month and a half later saying the floors were dry and everything looked good since they couldnt see any mold growth (floors were definitely buckling and warping) they will say and do anything to collect your money, but when it comes down to them, dishing out money to upkeep standard living quality homes, they refuse to do it.

      ******** company!!! If I had known on May 5th, 2025 what I know now, I would have ran the other way!!!! Maintenance issues deleted because they dont want to fix them. Tell you lies and then blame other co-workers! Simple things that should be fixed before a person moves in takes forever to fix. Requires you to take a complete day off from work for an issue to be fixed only for the maintenance person to show up at 5:30 with no advance notice!! Unprofessional business practices!!!

      I find this company to be completely stellar, they always attend to their residents fully. *** never had an issue, they use top tier companies also to fix any and all maintenance requirements that need to be attended to. Fully outstanding staff and I would say nice properties of choice as well. Whatever type of home or residence youre looking for they have it.

      ******** company to lease from been renting from them since 2019. They will charge for things that arent renters responsibilities! This is the worst experience *** had with any company!! Do yourself a favor and avoid mainstreet renewal if you value your time ************* of mind dont lease from this company. They just want to see how much additional money they can get from you monthly in addition to extremely expensive rent. I would NEVER recommend mainstreet renewal!! Look elsewhere for a nice safe place to live!!!

      All they want is your money. I had just finally got the carpet replaced in 1 bedroom. It took they 3 plus weeks to get that done. They didn't fix any issues that can keep the flooding from re accusing. They didn't even check for moisture in the walls. This company and it's other company should be shut down. I hope someone can see this and stay clear from them.

      Poor customer service. Company does only minimum with repairs. Had a broken garage door and Company replaced with cheapest door that does not match color of other door. Replaced boards on deck but not railings so looks bad. Unusable fireplace for 4 years. Company will not make it usable. 2 stars because Technicians are always nice and I feel safe having them in my home. They sometimes seem frustrated by the lack of doing repairs well. We like the neighborhood and the space of the house which is why we have stayed. Would not rent with them again

      I put a deposit of $500 to hold a house which I decided not to lease because of the constant miscommunication and ball-dropping with every person I dealt with regarding the whole process of trying to lease a home with them. I asked for my deposit to be refunded as I dint want the house anymore, and they continously say they're going to return it to me, yet the money still has not returned to me. They are liars, and they have literally stolen from me. Horrible!!! Absolute worst leasing company of all time! Liars, incompetent, and now thieves. Dont ever put your trust in Mainstreet Renewal!!!

      I rented from MSR for 10 yrs, when they decided to sell the house, didn't tell me, just didn't renew my lease. Then, I left the house SPOTLESS, patched nail holes, etc. They are now refusing to return my $1,095 deposit saying I left trash and didn't paint. There IS NO paint that lasts 10 years, there is also nothing on the "Move Out Condition" form requiring paint, only patching nail holes which we did. Additionally, Florida law entitles tenants to 5% annual interest on a security deposit. Over 10 years, that amounts to an additional $547.50, for a total due to me of $1,642.50 just for the deposit alone.They claimed we left trash in the house, we didn't and all pictures of trash that Mainstreet provided was stuff we had hauled to the city easement for city pickup - that I paid for. All trash is between the ditch and the road, that is CITY right of way, for city pickup. During my time there, they left maintenance tickets unresolved for nearly a year when the lease says they will resolve maintenance issues within 7-10 days for non-emergency issues.I also replaced the master bedroom carpet with LVP flooring ($800 out of pocket) because their contractors flooded the carpet and they refused to replace it. I have repeatedly asked how to get reimbursed and they will not answer me.They let tress on the property get so overgrown that raccoons would use them to get onto the roof and into the attic, the porch beam wood is completely rotted because of this. They also allow trees to overgrow into the power lines and set fires that take down the power lines and leave the neighborhood without power or internet for the entire day and causing me lost work time. They were also told years ago that the septic drain fields are shot and need to be replaced, yet they charged me a month fee for "septic maintenance" while doing nothing to fix it and leaving us to rent machines from ********** to snake out clogs repeatedly every year. Stay away from this company!
