*************************** is a real estate agent affiliated with Redfin in the ********, ****** area. Upon reviewing the accounting for the probate of my grandmothers estate, it came to my attention that *************************** accepted a 3.5% commission from the personal representative on the sale of this home. However, the property was actually sold through Redfin, which advertises a commission rate of only 1.5%. This discrepancy raises concerns of fraud and theft against the estate, as ******* appears to have charged a higher commission rate without disclosing this information or fixing the error. I am seeking appropriate action to address this matter. This goes against the real estate code of ethics

Redfin did not represent the seller in this sale. Redfin was the buyer's agent. The brokerage that listed the property can address any concerns regarding the agreed-upon commission detailed in the listing agreement.

Redfins website promises reduced fees, it states, When you BUY and SELL with us, you will pay half the fee other brokerages often charge, 3.5% for the buyer agent alone seems extremely high and is a significant amount of money.

This discrepancy adds to the confusion from your response. If Redfin is going to claim this as a sale on their website, I believe it is your job to follow up with why the buyers agent charged an excessive commission rate of 3.5% not mine otherwise youre supporting theft. I have my own full time job, and now I have to write an ethics complaint against your agent on my Own personal time.

Another thing, the statement you provided seems to imply that because buyers agent is part of a different brokerage you bear no responsibility for the discrepancy implying that your company is siloed to evade any responsibility. However, as a reputable company, its essential for Redfin to ensure that all information and all transactions presented to consumers, regardless of their role in a transaction, is accurate and transparent.

Moving forward, I would appreciate a more proactive approach to rectifying this issue. I believe its crucial for Redfin to take ownership of the discrepancy and work towards a satisfactory resolution for affected consumers

       Sincerely,

      *********************

Redfin is listing false information about my home for sell. I requested they correct it or remove my home from their website. ************************************************* is NOT in a floodzone. Their site says it is in a 99% flood zone. Also, they list ***************** as surrounding area. I asked them to fix this also. Ultimately, i want my home removed from their site and i want to warn other home owners about this problem.

      Hello,

We want to hear from our users, so I appreciate you sharing your feedback. User feedback like yours helps inform our future updates and makes Redfin better!

I have removed your property from the Redfin website and app.  If you list your home for sale through a local MLS or for sale by owner through FSBO.com or Fizber.com, your homes active listing will be available on Redfin at that time.

      All the best,

On 3/23/2024, my home was listed for rent on redfin.com without my permission and consent. On 03/23/2024 and 03/24/24, several people started showing up at my residence asking about rent. Due to this fact, my family was exposed to strange people knocking on our door and ringing the doorbell all day long, which made me extremely worried about our safety and privacy. I needed to place an ad on the house warning that it was not available for rent, this way people would stop coming to my door.I tried for hours and hours to contact the number ************** that is in the ad, as well as Redfin's "contact us" phone numbers ************** and **************, but without success. I have reported false advertising several times and that this is a scam, but my home still appears on the website.I would like to know how a property is advertised without owner verification and consent and I also want this advertisement to be removed, as well as the record removed from my address.

I "claimed" my home as the homeowner on redfin.com and attempted to remove the listing. Another person impersonating me was easily able to claim the property as theirs too and added misleading information about the property. I have requested that my home be completed removed from redfin.com.

Redfin has the condo I own listed as a rental, but it has not been for rent for some time. They listed it without the consent of myself or my past property manager. My lender will not close on a necessary loan for me to continue owning this property, as the loan is for a primary residence. This is rendering me unable to sell or refinance my property. My past property manager, who Redfin said must be the one to remove the listing, has shown me emails in which she specifically instructed Redfin to remove the listing, but they still have not. All their competitors took it down long ago.Redfin's agent claims that it's feeding info from MLS which lists it as a rental, but it's been off MLS as a rental for weeks.Plus, I own the home. I don't understand how they can list it for rent without my consent. Nobody has taken or returned phone calls at Redfin and the agent who was emailing me closed the help ticket.I hold them responsible for what may end up being the loss of my home and life's investment (my future!) if they fail to resolve this soon. I've been attempting to get that listing down for weeks.

Two days after I initially complained to BBB, I did receive a phone call from Redfin, and, after one business day, the representative was able to look into the matter and make sure my property is not listed as available for rent. She called me back and told me it was handled, which I confirmed by viewing my address on their website. While the issue is resolved for me personally, I find it alarming to have happened at all.  Thank you for following up and for your patience that I had not provided an update until now.

On November 30, my husband and I decided to start the 1st time home buying process. We saw a home that we liked schedule a tour. Redfin agent ************************** was late, but ********* Realtors was showing the home, so he answered a few of the questions we had regarding the home. *********** arrived very nice guy, he explained that we needed to get pre-approved to see if we qualify for the home, my husband received approval less than 48 hours. We viewed the home one more time and husband put in offer, this is where emails came like crazy and fast and *********** would give a brief description of what was being signed, trusting the realtor, we neglected to read all the documents and so forth, our error and it costed us. ******* Money to be given in 48 hours, monies taken out of my account and given to my husband- cash, once again I am novice to this whole process and the loan company attached to REDFIN is Bay Equity-**************** stated that I can give my husband a "gift", Cashier check given to Carpenters Realtors - listing agent. ***** explained to us that this money was hold fee for the property and would be used at closing, he never explained if we pull out of the deal we would not receive these funds back, and I feel that was a deformation of his character, as a seasoned Realtor your job is to give your customer all information regardless if the deal closes or falls apart by either party, we are entrusting his knowledge during this process. Finally, we get our interest rate #'s and etc. & for a 275k loan-44yr home with ****sq ft, those #did not sit well for this specific home and then Bay Equity is now telling my husband he needs to stop child support, court ordered stopped. Then ****** scolds me regarding how the ******* money was given. Tones changed drastically, Id request a call and no call but hours later a misunderstanding text. We literally paid $2500 for a quick crash course is home buying and that's fair.

I have been working for redfin for about 2-3 months. I have worked with two primeire Redfin agents Agent 1- I told her exactly how I wanted to purchase and buy. She wanted me to sign an exclusive agreement with her towards the end before writing an offer for me. She refused to write the offer. She seemed nice, but due to this had to find another agent.Agent 2- When I spoke to his office, the first thing they said is "real estate does not sleep". For agent 2 this was not the case. Also had an issue with contingencies which I resolved with a workaround. He is very knowledgeable, but not personable and does not want to work after hours or go the extra mile which other agents would. I would like to interview redfin agents and see if they would work for me. But the sales manager has banned me from Redfin.

I am rejecting this response because:

      for the first agent

how can I trust someones expertise can I cant trust their word. She said I would write any offer and did not

second agent: like I said he was very knowledge but sometimes hard to have a conversation with due to availability. Also he had a hard time reaching agents. Called 6 people maybe hard back from 2. I had to follow up with agents to get a response and I had no trouble.  Cant say what his issue was.

overall first agent is nice but wasted my time

second agent was knowledgeable, but had issues reaching other agents and didnt do things that my current agent is doing.

i have found someone to work with, just wanted to leave some feedback.

      Sincerely,

Greetings, my name is *****. I am the **************** Manager here at **********************. I did see that your property had two listings on Redfin. This glitch can occur if a home's address is slightly different than what we have in our records. The original records show your address as Highway, while the *** listing has  Hwy. This is a tiny difference, but our computer programming assumes it is an entirely different address. I apologize for the confusion. Please note that we have had your for-sale listing since it was added to the *** in April. I have rectified this, and there is now only one page on Redfin with your home data. In the future, our customer service team will always be able to help with these concerns. You can reach us at support.redfin.com.
